Very decent steak. Had a USA Tenderloin for me and Irish Ribeye for my wife. The steak is very juicy and make the whiskey mustard sauce is very good. Cocktail selection is so-so. Desert is overprice. I dont even try any of the desert. The place ambience is very cozy with open kitchen concept. Had a booking on friday, got a reservation on sunday. Make sure you book in advanced. Sit inside the restaurant. They have arousn twelves table insisde. Do not sit outside.

Well, if you don’t know the difference between Australian grass fed and USDA Prime beef, then of course you are going to bitch about the quality. So you better know what you are ordering and if you do, be sure you order US Prime aged beef. We did and it was simply tender and delicious. This is not your fancy steak house by all means. It situated inside the orchard/somerset plaza near somerset MRT. They have inside and outside seating for you who love to watch people and the crowds outside. In the inside as you walk-in by the small counter where they bake their own small pita shaped bread that is served with butter. You will be seated in either a table or booth. It was Valentines day and the place was getting very busy. THESERVICE I really have mixed review about the service and servers. Three different people tried to take our order and I have to tell them we already placed our order with someone else. So I have to say they either confused, unorganized or both. To me it was really annoying and I did not like that. Also, in many occasions we asked for more bread and its seemed to take long time to have it. I don’t know if baking the bread fresh has anything to do with it or what, but that is another thing I was kind of disappointed with. THEAPPETIZER We ordered the roasted bone marrow chopped parsley with toast. One bone cut in two pieces. I don’t think it was worth the S$ 25 they charged for it. Taste was not there and the bone hardly had enough inside it to scoop out. THESTEAKS Oh yeah, we came here for the steaks and nothing else… The steaks come on their own. No sides, only the meat which is served on a cast iron skillet 8 oz US Prime Tenderloin===This was cooked to medium rare and was delicious. Perfectly cooked and very tender that melts in your mouth. 14 oz US Prime Rib Eye=== Another piece of meat that was outstanding cooked rare. I really enjoyed every bite of this steak, It was full of flavors, juicy and very tender. Loved the juices dripping which I really enjoyed with the pita bread. This was also served in cast iron skillet. SIDE Rocket and parmesan salad===This was really fresh and tasted crispy with endive and tangy finish to it with the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese. This was not as bad as some reviewers claimed to be. I suggest you try the US Prime. S$ 311 for all this including glass of wine and two bottles of beer. I think this was very reasonable price considering this place being in an upscale area. For such a steak house place and not as cheap, you would expect a much better service without all the confusion. Other than that, this is a nice place to have a good steak.

Really bummed about this place. After all the rave recommendations(and the high prices) I expected to finally have a decent steak in Singapore. But for $ 90 a steak, I expect it to be aged properly, cooked to how I ordered, and with good flavour. None of those things happened. I’m astounded that a place that is meant to be known for steak only has one item on its menu which is dry-aged. Please go and visit Rockpool in Australia. It has options ranging from 28 day all the way up to 90 day aged steaks. It has its own aging room and all meats are hung and aged on-site. It was more rare than medium rare, and I had trouble cutting through it even with the sharp steak knife. It totally lacked any flavour, except for one that resembled burnt gas /oil. On the plus side, the sides were very nice for the most part. Truffle fries were well cooked… however I struggled to detect any truffle flavour. PS Café has better truffle fries I think. The Mac n cheese was very good, as were the beef tallow potatoes, though I would’ve liked them to be less soggy. Overall? $ 550 for 4 of us(with 2 glasses of wine) was massively steep for a pretty average meal. Thankfully we used the Entertainer which made it more palatable, but otherwise it wouldn’t be worth visiting.

Don’t ever drink the house wines here. Completely wasted my good 18.80 on something that dropped out of someone’s ass. The white was yucky so I asked for the second glass to be the red. Waitress very reluctantly obliged(don’t understand why when it’s the same price). Red turned out to be worse. Left both barely touched and left. I am definitely not a wine snob so leave wine behind is unheard of. Never to bedrock again!

Easy access and pleasant interior. I had the Bedrock peppercorn spesial. The steak was cooked to my specifications and very good. They had a nice wine list and the waiter was(at least for my needs — I don’t know mutch about wine) sufficiently knowledgeable.

The place is quite crowded, in a prime position as it’s right at the entrance of 311@somerset shopping mall. Very nice interiors, menu looks very refined and classy. Waiters service is very good, shame for the food that we found expensive and quite normal compared to the price we paid. Portions were not very generous, while prices were quite high. Not impressed.

This was the second time I’ve been to Bedrock, and the steak still doesn’t impressed me at all. Simply put it, it wasn’t great at all. For the standard of the steak given, it was definitely overpriced. What’s good at Bedrock is the mac & cheese and the pita bread at the start. And that’s about it.

i went here with colleagues for our quarterly«steak night». Taking time to enjoy a steak and a drink with colleagues is good team building. Bedrock was the second restaurant visited and came with high expectations that fell short on a couple of fronts. As far as the food goes, we just ordered smoked chili fries as an appetizer to leave room for the steak. The fries were not that special and seemed to be just a basket of fries dusted with chili powder. Washed down with some happy hour Carlsberg the scene was set for the entrée’s. After a lengthy wait, our steaks arrived with the sides. Surveying the table made me realise, none of us were really vegetable lovers with only one side of asparagus to accompany duck fat potatoes, Fries and mac n’cheese. We ordered three ribeyes and two tenderloins. One of the tenderloin’s was sent back for being too well done. For the rest of us, the level of «doneness» was correct, but given the steaks were no more than an inch thick and were served on a very hot skillet, they ended up all being a little too well done. Flavor was good, but really for me I had higher expectations given the reputation of the place, as well as the price being paid. The stars were the mac n’cheese and the duck fat potatoes and that should never be the case in a restaurant that prides itself on its steaks, The service was OK, apart from the long wait for the steaks. the staff had their game on when it came to topping up our glasses, but why does happy hour only apply outside and not inside? Not sure of the logic behind this. Given that Singapore has plenty of good steak restaurants, we will definitely be trying an alternative, next time.

We were looking for that place with great ambiance and the food to go with it. We found it at Bedrock. The prices are high, including the prices for wine. But, my bone marrow appetizer was perfectly prepared. The wine list has good selections and the cocktails were perfectly blended. We were a bit disappointed with the size of the steak, but it was prepared well and had added flavor. I like the fact they brought your sauce on the side, so that you choose how to deploy it. The side we creative although they were out of the sweet potato with blue cheese and bacon. I really wanted to try that. After being in Singapore of a week, we finally have a bit more confidence about the food scene. This is pricy, but well worth the splurging. Have to say the staff was outstanding. They knew the menu, able to recommend wine, and extremely attentive. They made the experience that much better.

Great steaks, interesting starters, decent service, adequate facility. Steaks cheaper than Cut, beef almost as good as Wakanui. Armagnac to drool for!

Bedrock used to be the absolute shining star in Singapore several years ago as THEPLACETOBEFORSTEAKS even with competition directly with Morton’s and Wolfgang Puck’s Cut. However, over the years, as the trend seems to go in Singapore F&B businesses, restaurants weaken their strengths because their owners find a reason to shift their strengths elsewhere perhaps to start a new business elsewhere and to ultimately place well established and well performing businesses such as Bedrock down in the pits. That is exactly what happened at Bedrock. It went from a shining star for anyone that serves steak to be envied of to a place that was hanging onto life support for faithful customers to return. For more than a year, we had refused to go back there because the steak was simply not cooked properly. Medium rare steaks would come out as medium to well cooked steak. Simply unacceptable for a steak restaurant. History aside, we recently went back to try it to see if anything had changed. We noticed two improvements. First, their current Rotisserie has improved his skills since the last time we sampled it. Medium rare came out medium rare to medium in the Tomahawk but despite this improvement, the steak’s marble grading seems to have dropped quite a bit as we were not experiencing the same tender juiciness as we had experienced years ago. Second, we liked what they did with the small alfresco space outside adding a bar snacks menu. Unfortunately, while being seated there waiting for our table to be ready, the floor staff failed to capitalise on the opportunity and to offer us a drink or try their bar snacks. On the topic of service, we left a voice message on Friday for someone to call us back for a reservation line but received no call back the following day. We had to chase for our own reservation. Service attitude seems to have dropped. One further note, their jamon appears to have shrunk in size landing us smaller pieces than we are used to. To finish on a good note, their wine list continues to be small but adequate and their truffle mash is just as good as we remembered it. We’ll be back and hopefully, see consistency and further improvements in their quality and service to lift their game.

Very nice place, easy to find near to the somerset metro station. Casual ambient and very good food. Nice staff and a quite good range of wine and beer. I’ve tried a pork ribeye withh a fantastic mashed potato and truffle. Suggested!

This place is more like a 3.5 for steak, but was a 4 for decent value at $ 100 per person for the amount & quality of food we ordered… also considering the location at Somerset. We made a reservation for Friday 8:30pm, but our table wasn’t ready until a bit later, so we enjoyed the 2-for-1 happy hour outside. We ordered the following for 4 people: –shared the Duck salad(a bit too much balsamic vinegar… a bit too salty) –share bone marrow — 2 pieces(yummy) –My husband and I shared an Australian grassfed porterhouse with black pepper sauce and added on $ 6 truffle butter(probably unnecessary), but it was surprisingly the same size as one of our friend’s US sirloin steak. The steak was a bit tough to cut, but it was partly because the knives provided as part of the table setting were less effective… then the waiter offered better ones when they saw us having trouble(this was a bit strange that they didn’t just offer better knives in the first place). Our porterhouse I thought was a bit harder to chew at medium, but our other friend’s tenderloin was exactly that… very tender and juicy. There was a bit of a wait between the appetizers and entrees, so we brought it to the manager’s attention and you could see that he definitely checked on our orders. Service was attentive and the complimentary naan-like bread was pretty good with the butter and roasted garlic provided. Overall, it was a very pleasant Friday night dining experience.

Located near Somerset313, Bedrock Bar & Grill is one of the high-end Western restaurants in the area. The restaurant design is sleek and modern, featuring a VIP private dining room and a half-open kitchen concept. Diners can see the finishing touches to certain dished, like blowtorch on the crème brûlée. My favourite part of the entire dining experience was the bread basket. Instead of the conventional bread or baguette, each diner was served with their specialty which largely resembled a nan. But the true star of the dish was the garlic. The restaurant prepares whole cloves of garlic in a variety of herbs and spices which can be placed directly on the bread and consumed. Honestly the best garlic I have ever had. Gone is the overwhelming spiciness of garlic. In its place is the subtle fragrance of garlic, infused with other rich flavours from the herbs. Each piece of garlic is so soft it crumbles with the lightest touch, making it easy to consume and spread on the bread. But at this point of time, we were just eating the slices whole. It was that good. Other dishes were slightly above the usual fare but in my opinion, not worth the steep prices. The overall experience was slightly marred by the fact that one customer complained of a hair in her fries. But the service staff did offer to immediately replace the dish with a new serving. Location wise is also pretty good, right smack in the middle of the popular stretch of Orchard Road. Worth a try if you’re looking for somewhere fancy for a night out!

I love this place. Really, call me bias but the service here is awesome! The waiters here are remarkably attentive, we didn’t have to ask for anything, they were the ones asking my boyfriend and I about our preferences, what drinks would we like, if we would like second helpings for their complimentary bread with roasted garlic and butter etc. That was really impressive. What impressed us next was the main course which was huge! My boyfriend ordered a steak that was so thick and juicy. he was just full from eating it. Next was my Tuna Steak which I asked for medium rare. and it was cooked exactly like what I requested. The side dish we ordered as their Mac & Cheese and it was served on a big enough plate to be considered a main course in it’s own right. I really enjoyed the food and the service there. I will definitely come back here and eat again.

Bedrock Bar & Grill is one of my favourite places for steak. Food: Big fan of the steaks. Love the smoked tomato soup with applewood smoked tomatoes and basil mascarpone. The flavours were rich yet not overpoweringly so and the hint of basil mascarpone gave it that extra edge. The bread is quite good too. The mac and cheese were a huge hit with us, as were the truffled mash potatoes. Not as sublime as as Joel Robuchon’s but quite good nonetheless. We went all out and had the USDA ribeye with bearnaise sauce topped with pan fried foie gras as well as the dry aged ribeye with red wine sauce … YUM! Ambience: Cosy, intimate and overall how a steakhouse should look like. Service: Excellent!
