Alaine is a super-​chill makeup master and I wish she lived in my medicine cabinet!
I found her for my wedding a while back and after a trial where she took her time working with me to create the look I was going for she glammed me out on the big day. Using an airbrush and feux eyelashes she turned me into a doll and my little neices were telling me I looked like a princess all day long. I have somewhat sensitive skin and the full-​out makeup wasn’t irritating and felt completely light and I looked fantastic for the many photos all day and night.
Alaine gave me a little pot of the lipstick blend (of three different products) she used on my for re-​touches throughout my wedding day and I was in love with it for a few weeks until it ran out. I’ve been trying to re-​create this perfect color for the last year and finally called Alaine to schedule a makeup consultation. She came to my house with her gigantor sack of products and we went through the products I currently use and she taught me how to use them to the max with recomendations for additions. She is patient and non-​judgemental and I finally learned how to use liquid eyeliner. And, I now hold the secret formula for the best lipstick combo ever!
I can’t wait to have her make me pretty for the next big event.

I found Alaine via a blog. I am the type of person that rarely wears makeup and I didn’t want to look hire someone that would make me look overly done and thus not myself. Her work is great– i got compliments all day on my wedding day and so did my bridemaid’s. The airbrush makeup was so natural looking but did its job by enhancing my features. Plus alaine was really flexible and came to my hairdresser’s house at 4:30 in the morning because i had an early morning ceremony! She was also able to cover some of my scars that I have on my shoulders so it wasn’t noticable on my special day. My bridemaids thought that the airbrush makeup was like a mini spa misting so its really cool and really worth it. She was one of the best vendors that I dealt with for my wedding– i wish everyone worked like her! I liked alaine so much that I hired her again but for private makeup lessons. I would highly highly recommend her.

I met Alaine while visiting New York for my brother’s wedding last month. I got her name from my now sister-​in-​law and boy am I happy I contacted Alaine! She not only did my make-​up, my mom and two aunts, but she also airbrushed four of my tattoos (as I was a bridesmaid for the somewhat conservative wedding). She was not only prompt and professional, but she was very reasonably priced. She was friendly and easy to work with and did outstanding work. I have never seen my mom and aunts look so beautiful and at the same time very natural. She gave us exactly what we wanted, I got so many compliments that day and felt so glamorous! When I got back to Chicago and showed my co-​workers the pics (we’re all hairstylists) they couldn’t stop talking about how great all our make-​up looked, that’s quite the compliment coming from people in the industry :) I only wish Alaine lived here in Chicago, I would keep her very busy!

Alaine did a wonderful job on my wedding makeup. I liked how it was not overly done but subtle with enough there to tell it was a special day. I especially loved the way she did my eyes, even if she didn’t get a chance to put on false eyelashes. As a person who rarely wears makeup, my big requirement was that it be comfortable and it was — at times I completely forgot that I even had makeup on. Alaine is also very friendly and easy to work with.
