One of the better places along the water at Robertson Quay. In general I am a bit skeptic about places that do a lot of different food and here they serve Thai, Western and Indian food. I have not sampled the Western food but I have been pretty happy with both the Indian and the Thai food. Neither is any OMG-experiences but both are well above average and at very decent prices. I like the relaxed atmosphere here and they have always been very friendly and service-minded so it has been pleasant to visit here. The good food is complemented by a beer selection of craft beers that is perhaps not amazing but also well-above what many places have. The fact that they also do not automatically add a service charge is another plus in my book. What is however not a nice experience is the men’s room. It has been verging from dirty to disgusting on all occasions I have been here and that is just not ok and I always make me wonder how spaces in the restaurant guests are not seeing look.

I love coming here to get the Indian food, people watch, and relax. The guys that work here are awesome. They’re friendly and efficient with service. I’m not a fan of the Western food here. However, the Thai and Indian are pleasant.

Been to a few of their other branches and thought they were great. This outlet however was a disappointment. The food was oily and not palatable. On top of that the area were infested with flies. Not a very pleasant experience. Their toilet however was clean. Not much of a celebration

This is a great place to go to with a big group of people as they have three kitchens, Thai, Western and Indian. You can order a selection off all three if you wish to; however, this review is for their Indian kitchen. We actually had this place recommended to us by our property agent as we live a couple of doors down. She recommended the Indian food so off we headed the next time we had a curry craving. We really enjoyed the curry although we found the outside seating uncomfortable as there are no cooling fans that work. Since this experience, we always get a take away. My husband is a chicken curry fan although he finds that as thigh meat is used here, they are not quite to his taste, he is a breast man! I’m a fan of mutton curry and have enjoyed each one I have tried so far. I would especially recommend the Makani Dahl, I always order an extra portion to keep in the freezer for a later date.

Each time I’ve come here it’s been disappointing. It’s been a busy night but still 2 servers on the floor and my drinks ordered were a glass of house red and it’s not here yet. Been a good 35 mins or more! Grrrrrr…

This lovely dining experience is complemented by a great menu. Variety is one of its biggest hits at Bar Bar Black Sheep — Offering Thai, Indian, and western food. This often leaves customers indecisive and anticipating the tastes to come. On another note the butter chicken with garlic naan should not be missed! Its excellent service creates an environment that allows the customers to settle in with ease. The staff is known to be attentive and friendly, even on a busy afternoon. This rustic ambiance is complete with the river-side. Having three locations, the other two in Katong and Bukit Timah, displays the success of the restaurant. Bar Bar Black Sheep Robertson Quay still boast the best ambiance, leaving many customers coming back for more. Opening Hours Sun: 9am — 12am Mon-Thu: 11am — 12am Fri-Sat: 9am — 2am Price/Pax: S$ 17 — S$ 40

This outlet has only recently opened. Bar bar black sheep’s first outlet was at Cherry Ave, near Sixth Avenue, where it was extremely popular with the alcholics in the vicinity. If you’re up for some good grub during town, head over for their $ 11 nett lunch set meals. For example tom yum soup as starters and the mains are either cheeseburger, black pepper chick burger and aglio olio. The latest addition is air-conditioned(unlike the outlet at Sixth Avenue), and is a great place to rest amidst Singapore’s unforgiving weather. The laidback ambience is an ideal place for an office worker to kick back, relax and just enjoy a pint of the freshest brew.
