If you have been reading the reviews that I write, you would have realized by now that I am quite skeptical when it comes to Korean food. But once again, my beliefs have been turned around! I visited this outlet at Tampines 1 for the pretty well-known Korean barbeque buffet. I really liked the barbeque meat there! The marinated one is nice, so is the non-marinated one. There are several dipping sauces that you can choose from, and I think the meat goes best with the dark sauce with lemon in it(I don’t know what exactly it is though… I just know it goes well with the meat!). But other than the barbeque meat, I think the rest aren’t that fantastic. Like for instance the cooked food, the variety is quite limited and tastes very average. And although the barbeque is supposedly smoke-free, you’ll still stink from the barbeque smell. Also, the floors are pretty oily and hence slippery. Honestly, I’m contemplating between a 3 or a 4-star rating, but in the end I decided on a 3, since I think there is a considerable room for improvement, like for instance making sure that the environment is more conducive and clean. Lastly, the weekend dinner is more expensive on weekends, so you may want to visit it on a weekday for better value.

Decent Korean BBQ. The range of meats was not exactly very big, Different cuts of pork, beef chicken, some were marinated in Bulgogi, some where without any marinate. All were pretty decent. Really liked the pork belly. You also have the lettuce to stuff your cooked meats into if you are into that. Grilling the garlic and onions in the fat that oozes out of the pork is also yummy. I am not that big a fan of Korean bbq in general, as the meats are usually marinated sweet, Hence I cannot really give this place a high rating, however there was a really really long que and everyone seemed to be having a good time, so my rating is a matter of personal preference.
