Attitude is a charming little studio and café inside the Bukit Timah Plaza. I took Zumba here a few times and now looking to take kickboxing and other classes. They offer a variety of them throughout the week. The dance room next to the café is quite small, so when there are too many students(popular classes fill up quickly!), it gets cramped and stuffy… and for those of you who prefer some privacy when working out and drenching in sweat, be aware that the people in the café can look in if you’re too close to the window. There is a larger studio on the higher level, and I presume this one is reserved mainly for children’s classes. While I enjoyed Zumba here, it was different from what I had experienced in the US. It was still an awesome workout, though, and the instructors were full of energy and motivating. Lastly, the café is a really nice spot to chill and offers awesome coffee and cakes. SUM: To be updated after taking other classes…

This place caught my eye once it was launched a few years ago, when ballet and dance schools were all the rage. Attitude especially made an impression with its premises being split into 2 areas; one with their main dance studio right at the edge of the building, with huge glass windows that allowed passers-by to peek in and watch the students in action, and another tucked beside Popular book store within the building, complete with a café and sitting area. This design meant basically free advertising, and the glass windows gave a nice touch to the ambience as well. There was another fitness oriented studio where I took a few classes within the café area, which offered more privacy. I liked this very much, since fitness class participants are usually panting and sweating up a storm at the end of the session, unlike the graceful ballerinas outside! My favourite part was the café, since it meant we automatically had an area to sit and relax with our fellow students or friends after the class, together with my favourite fig cake and tea for detox. It also provided a great area for parents to have a cup of coffee while waiting for their kids to finish their dance classes — a great and innovative idea for both the participants and the store!
