This place has large portions for reasonable prices. Unfortunately you get what you pay for. We had rosti, currywurst, drumlets and risotto with soft shell crab. The rosti was soggy rather than crispy, and came with a measly dollop of sour cream(though they gave us more when we asked for it). The portion of smoked salmon was generous though. The casing(skin) of the sausage in the currywurst lacked the firm knack/snap that a good sausage needs, and rather bizarrely it was served with truffle fries. I know everyone has a fetish for truffle fries nowadays, but adding truffle oil to currywurst fries really does not work. The drumlets were crispy enough but were a bit dry even when they were served. The risotto was okay if slightly dry, and the soft shell crab was alright also.

Can’t decide between Spanish food, French food or Italian pasta? Or perhaps some Swedish cheeseballs? Ambush is the place for you with its comprehensive dishes from the European regions. Or the local«European Union» might be a more apt description for that place We shared the classic Pork Knuckle($ 18 for half) which was roasted moderately well, producing a crackly golden rind covering the tender meat and fats. But the pillowy mashed potato seemed to steal the limelight while the saukeraut was dry and too little for the meat Other interesting dishes include Squid Ink Paella, Coq Au Vin, their signature SAUSAGES… My love for black food includes not only chocolate but also squid ink dishes. In fact, this Spanish paella was my favourite dish of that day as the rice was sticky and full of flavour as compared to my previous try at Ochre Quite value for money as the hearty main courses do not exceed $ 20 while pastas at average $ 13 :)

Food is tasty but the portion is small. Service is good and fast. Try the paellas!
