This review is based on lunch last Sunday. This chicken rice is one of the best i’ve ever tasted. And I have tried a lot all over the world. Yup, I’m not shy about this: all over Singapore, KL, jb, Bangkok, Australia, Wellington!, Malacca, Penang, San Francisco… But this! Only a haiku can describe this! Perfect poached chicken, Smooth and delicate. Sesame and ginger sauce, Juicy and fragrant. Half a chicken is SGD$ 13 Full chicken is SGD$ 24

Food courts are the way to eat in Singapore, they’re everywhere and with Singapore’s main dish being boiled chicken, you’ll see that option almost every where. Also, since Singapore’s humidity is insane, make sure to stop and get ice gachang which is shaved ice with fruits, beans and syrup, it’s delicious. Anyway, I liked this food court the most because there’s so many options and it’s one of the cleanest food courts I’ve been to in Singapore. The food stalls are all very clean and people are very friendly.

The oldest food court at Loyang Point, but also the food court with better food options. At least there are several stalls in this food court that is worth your visit, like the prata stall, the Chinese noodles stall, and the Western food. The food court is also clean and free of unpleasant food smells. The drink stall also whips up good coffee. Personally, I will order a ‘gao’ for my coffee because it tastes a little bland otherwise. They also have other home-made drinks like barley which is quite refreshing and good for a hot day. They need better baby chairs and seats though.

This Food Court is tucked away in the back of the Mall — and it does have some pretty good options for food. It’s good to have 2 Food Courts in a mall — it just means that you’ll get cheaper prices and twice as much options! They have wayyy different options as the other Food Court — so it’s pretty cool. What I Love: They have a nice Malay Food Stall that sells Lontong and traditional Malay food, an Indian Muslim Stall that does great Murtabak, Prata, Indian Rojak and Mee Goreng, a Seafood Stall that does seafood and Singaporean fare — stir-fried veggies, meats, claypots and all, and an amazing Desserts stall that does local yummies like Tau Suan, Pulot Hitam, Ice Kacang, Green Bean & Red Bean Soups, Chin Chow, Soursop, Ice Jelly, Almond Jelly, Soya Bean, Barley and quite a lot more different kinds of Desserts and drinks. The other stalls selling Chicken Rice and Western Food are pretty popular too. What I Don’t Love: Absolutely nothing! ;D
