A typical neighbourhood shopping mall, nothing much to be excited about. It has basically what I need. Food Court, Supermarket, stationary shop, a fast food restaurant(MacDonald’s), clinic, electronic store, lighting shop and the other essential stuff for my home needs. There is a multi-story car park and even you go there during the peak hours, there is always space. A good getaway from the popular malls! The food at the food court is pretty decent and best of all, inexpensive.

Everytime I’m there I feel like I’m stuck in the 90s. The mall is pretty old school like that. It really isnt much of a mall if you ask me but they do have a sheng siong, mcdonalds, bakery, food courts and basic shops around that more than satisfy your day to day necessities.

I love this mall — it has a small town feel and it’s great to buy your sundries and small local stuff. It actually has quite the array of stuff, so go explore and try stuff from small family owned shops. I love the Supermarket on the first floor, Sheng Siong, and there are a lot of other stores that has quite a lot of character — as opposed to the generic, boring, cut & paste concept malls like East Point, Tampines Mall & Century Square. Why have the same malls with the same sorta crap? I mean, it’s just boring and a waste of space. What I Love: This mall is quieter, less commercial, and feels real. It’s not pretentious — and most of the stores are family owned and run by people themselves — not chains, well, apart from the Supermarkets, McDonald’s and Bake Inc. The ground floor has quite a few cool stores, a stationary store, Soya House — where you can get your beverage, then, there’s the Supermarket, plus a few hardware stores where you can get your bulbs and screws, and you can get a massage at Refresh Bodyworks, get your mobile fixed at Pacific Mobile and Trading, get Bubble Tea from Sweettalk, get toiletries at Body Senze and get your hair done at Overhaul Salon — and all at reasonable prices. What I Don’t Love: It might not have stuff other malls have, but it does have all the essentials. It can get crowded during peak hours — especially at the McDonald’s.

Loyang Point is a truly unexciting place to visit in Pasir Ris. I understand that it is a heartland mall, but it is really bare and has nothing much to offer. In terms of services, you have the usual optical shops, hair salons, small sized clinics, etc. However, none of them are exceptionally outstanding that entice you for a next visit. Food wise, the selection is miserable. The management seems to attempt to bring in exciting food stalls, but in the end, they end their businesses before you know it. So, we are back to square one, the boring heartland mall as it is.
