Have been a few times and never disappointed. Worth the short drive out of the way. Went with wife and daughter this past Sunday and had such a nice server. She was chatting it up with our 7 year old daughter(although I would not say this place is family friendly-no kids menu) and it was really nice of her to take the time. Service was good, quick and efficient even though the restaurant was fairly busy. Love the nachos at this place, get the large. Sunday night they were a bit over cooked but still great. Guacamole is extra but also worth it. Oh, Peanuts at the table are a fun added touch. Nice to see places still do this. See you guys soon!

Came here with a group of my friends. They ordered wings and fries. One of them ordered the rib and wing combo and loved it. For her, Fries were charged extra unless they were included as side on the menu. I got the steak salad with steamed veggies. It was delicious and a good variation for someone who wants to eat a salad but is also craving a warm dish, it was missing dressing though, so I had to tell our server. Saw lots of familiar faces. We then ordered desert. The fudge brownie with ice cream sounded much better than tasted when the server presented it to us. They also started playing music when we were leaving. Will I go back? Yes probably. Do I recommend? I think so, depends on my daily mood.

Food is okay. Wings are pretty good, not the best in Windsor. Beer selection is really good… Funny pun joke on Harry Porter Service, however, was certainly weird. I think my waitress was either rude or just didn’t like me. Would come back.

I went here for lunch as part of a group. The wait staff was attentive and did a great job with our table of fifteen. My friends enjoyed the chicken fingers(though my daughter did not). I would not, however, recommend the whole grain pancakes, as they were dense and didn’t have a good flavor. Also, several people ordered beer, and they seem to have a great selection. One couple ordered a flight, and the serving size for each beer was much larger than anywhere else I’ve been when my husband has ordered a flight. We sat upstairs, which was lovely, as we were seated in front of open windows, with a gentle breeze blowing through. Other than the lackluster pancakes, I’d recommend Rock Bottom.

Extrodinary ribs, tasty mushroom burgers did a great job to satisfy a picky Chinese stomach like me, also have friendly and goodlooking waitresses, here is the kind of place where you can get filled with good foods and a drink at about 20CAD, 20% tip and 13% HST included.

I fairly regularly attend trivia night with some friends. We were asked to leave after sitting at a table that was apparently«reserved» for trivia. The table was not identified as being«reserved.» The table was across from, but not connected to, a bank of tables that were labeled as «reserved.» The waiter informed us those tables might not be enough to accommodate the reservation that someone called in. The only other open table was also«reserved»(for someone named«Mike.») How about that eh? Must be nice to just call up and reserve a bunch of tables. Rock Bottom didn’t used to allow this nonsense.

Love this place! So glad to be back in windsor with all the students returning, this is a great place to be and be seen. Other than some jackass trying to steal out reserved table for trivia night, it was a great night back. Remember to tip your bartenders and wait staff well, they work hard to accommodate everyone and keep the good times rolling.

Used to live in Windsor and often went to my favourite pub Rock Bottom. I’ve been gone for 15 years but recently came back and went back to the pub. Better than ever. Unbelievable selection of craft beers — the best in the city. Also — the food is very well done pub food. Had the ribs — quality food and presentation and great value. If you’re a craft beer hound, there is no other place in Windsor.

Great little dive beer with a nice beer selection. Wednesday wing night did not disappoint. Good service and enjoyed atmosphere. As others have said, get there early as seating is limited.

Rock Bottom is the go-to pub among my coworkers. The burgers are top-notch(it’s the only thing I’ve gotten so far), and the service tends to be pretty good. It’s got a good atmosphere, too. It can be pretty noisy when it’s busy, as mentioned in some other reviews. Overall, it’s a cool spot to hang out.

I have been going here for years with the family. They always have great wings! the staff always seems to be very friendly and helpful. The food usually come quickly. It seems like everything I have tried on the menu I have liked. I have never had an bad experience here and would recommend the place to anyone. It does seem like they have changed the recipe of their«stupid sauce». I still get it but it’s not as great as what it used to taste like. Just my opinion though. BTW make sure you ask for a bucket of peanuts.

This place is great because it’s so comfortable and has everything you need. 30 fresh and cold beer selections on tap, buckets of free peanuts, a good size menu with tasty choices everywhere. Plus a wing night and a trivia night?! It’s my favourite place on this side of town.

Yeah, cool place. I go there every now and then from the States. Food is good, beer is cold. Peanuts to eat and toss on the floor. The prices are high if you are from the States, my Canadian friends say it is average for a bar. I enjoyed my wings and the burgers I have ate there. Good times.

Rock Bottom is a surprisingly good place in the beautiful neighbourhood of old Sandwich. Sadly it doesn’t mirror the charm of the neighbourhood and instead appears to be a fairly standard pub, right down to the peanuts all over the floor. The place is huge — there’s a second floor — and so can accomodate groups, especially with a reservation. Be aware, though, that it can get loud in here, especially when a band is playing or it’s Trivia night. The main draw to Rock Bottom for us was always the fact that it has the best selection of craft/interesting beer in the city of Windsor. Sure, bars like the Beer Market have a lot of beers on tap, but most of them were more-or-less the same: your standard pilsner. Rock Bottom offers not only great Ontarian craft beers like Mill Street and Amsterdam Breweries, but also more intresting imports like Belgian tripels. The food is above-average pub fare for Windsor, if not above-average generally. The wings and nachos are both very good. This place was worth making the 20 minute walk(past several other bars) from our home near the University when we lived in Windsor, and assuming nothing’s changed we’d still be happy to visit when we’re home.

Rockbottom is a great place in the middle of Sandwich on the west side of Windsor. Its got that wonderful brick /pub /peanuts on the floor feel to it, wooden floors give it a good sound when you smoosh those peanut shells on your way to the bathroom after a round of beers ;) Typically I’ve been here for the Wednesday 2 for 1 wings, and I’m torn what is better, this place or Hurricanes(just across the street). However, for the sake of argument, who cares?! Both have good wing selection IMHO. This place is great for groups if you can squeeze them in, as it gets busy most Wednesdays. We’ve had people here from our Ultimate Frisbee league(Windsor Ultimate Frisbee — ), and everyone has enjoyed the food. Close proximity to the University makes this a great place for students too, as the beer is relatively inexpensive and the food is favorable, filling and not too bad on the wallet. Definetly a place in Windsor I recommend.

Some of the best wings in Windsor! Rockbottom is a great place in the middle of Sandwich and offers up good pub grub at a wonderful venue for all sports fans. The place is real nice looking with wooden floors and brick walls. Those same floors are covered with peanut shells, so those with peanut allergies should avoid at all costs. The menu sells your normal stuff; burgers, wraps, and wings. The service here isn’t the greatest because it always seems packed(and the servers always tend to be pretty good-looking…) Wednesdays are great because they have 2 for 1 wings. An order of wings is around $ 11 bucks and come about 8 – 10 an order. On Wednesdays, you’ll get about 16 – 20 for the same price(with a drink purchase). Well worth it. Their wings are incredible. They are crisp and the sauce adheres very well. The great thing is the variety as well. They have your normal mild, medium, hot. They also go one notch up which is their stupid sauce.(Named for obvious reasons). But they also have interesting ones like Southwest(like honey bbq with a kick), Thai Curry, and Pepper Parmesan. Their hot wings are always good and aren’t overly sauced which I praise them for. They aren’t the hottest wings, even the Stupid sauce isn’t too bad. The honey garlic wings are great. The sauce is sweet and sticky and aren’t drenched in sauce as well. The Thai curry is a bit interesting. Not the best on wings, but my friends love it so it’s definitely worth a shot if you like curry.(Thai curry means they use coconut as a base — Indian curries are more liquidey) Other than the wings, I can’t really vouch for much else except the burger. The burgers here are great. I mean it. This was the first place I tried peameal in Canada and it was on the Canuck burger. Before me stood a mountain sized burger with a thick slice of what looked like ham but was a bit more fattier and chewier. It was just… I’ve loved peameal on burgers since. Maybe it was the first time effect, like losing your virginity or something, but that burger was just plain good. Overall, definitely worth giving a go if you haven’t. Wednesdays are awesome because of the 2 for 1 special for wings. Burgers are good too. Servers are hot. No reason not to go if you haven’t already yet.

Rock Bottom is located just west of Windsor in Sandwich town, which is a great name for a town and should be included on some sort of top 10 list on Unilocal.Doesn’t it already make you hungry?! No, ok… moving on… Rock Bottom is a good sized bar that serves your typical pub fare and a decent selection of cold, alcoholic beverages. I’ve frequented Rock Bottom on a number of occasions and it’s cleanliness and appearance is amongst some of the best I’ve seen at a bar. Well, that is if you ignore the discarded peanut shells that are spread all over the floor.(Is that even legal? I guess if you have a peanut allergy, stay far, far away from this place!) There are several tv’s that allow for a good sightline of the big game no matter where you are seated. All in all, a good place to grab a bite and a cold pint! Disclaimer: I once played for the Rock Bottom softball team… but it did not influence this review. Allergy Alert: If you’re allergic to peanuts, watch out! There’s a high probability of entering Rock Bottom, slipping on a nut, falling, then going into some sort of peanut seizure. You’ve Been Warned: Put enough change in the meter if you park on the street. The recently outsourced Windsor parking authority doesn’t mess around!

A pub that boasts a wonderful menu! Great venue, the upstairs is great for parties — downstairs is usually tables of larger groups /sports teams enjoying some wings and beer. Always a good crowd, cold beer, good wings. If you wish to venture away from the chicken wings… the rest of the menu is also priced well and hearty. *Caution to those with peanut allergies… throwing peanuts on the floor is an acceptable practice in this venue. No patio, but the front windows are garage doors that open up allowing the summer air in and good live music out on the street. Good venue to meet with coworkers, sporting teams, friends etc to grab a pint and catch the game.
