Friendly atmosphere here. I love the three egg omelet, with a lot of mushroom and pepper! They also have fresh pressed orange juice!

This place used to be a local favorite known for its generous portion sizes, gourmet cuisine, and friendly service. A new young couple has seemed to take over the café and since then it seems corners have started to get cut. Now the food is small portions and no longer gourmet. The ingredients used are quite cheap and it comes across in the lack of flavor. The crowd inside used to be packed with locals and some people from the campsite. Now, the mere campers are left and the locals have left. This place was a favorite for nearly a decade, hopefully the new owners read this and save the place before it is too late. Check out Wildwood for a truly delicious experience.

They make a great waffle with berry compote with yogurt or whipped cream. I tried both and prefer the yogurt topping with the berry compote the best. Lots of seating, pastries were average. But I just went there for the waffles.

The Riverside Junction Café is located here. We were excited to try this place out for breakfast due to the good reviews on Unilocal. Our experience was very different. We walked in at 9:15 am. There was one lady working the entire place. She was clearly overworked. Every one who came in had to wait an exorbitant amount of time to be able to order something, and then much longer to actually receive it. It was 10:00 am by the time we finally received our food. 45 minutes after we arrived. I ordered the Smoked salmon bennie and my friend ordered eggs over easy. Both our dishes were bordering on cold. After we were served our food, a second employee finally arrived and started cleaning up the tables, washing dishes, etc. Maybe our experience was an anomaly — but they clearly need to do a better job on execution.

Awesome place for a home cooked fresh breakfast away from the tourons. Pricing is phenomenal for the quality of food and coffee served. The waitress/chef was delightful and very friendly. I had the«classic» which was a belt stretching amount of food, well prepared and fresh. Love this place!

So… our last morning in Whistler, and I wanted to try something different and new… mistake? I’m still on the fence. This place is small… like 10 tables small, and no one seems to hurry. Okay, it’s a breakfast place mainly, but we were hungry and didn’t want to sit outside in the drizzle and slight wind. There were 3 people manning the counter and cleaning up tables, and only one cooking. This seems a little out of whack to me. It took us 30 – 40 mins to get our food, by which time we had finally wrangled a table inside. I had Belgian waffles with yogurt and blueberry compote(you can have whipped cream if you feel like being decadent). This DOES come with maple syrup, despite not being mentioned on any menu. It was really good, but I also was quite hungry and had been craving waffles for a while now. The bf had… something. He liked it. I know there were hash browns involved. Anyway, the food made up for the wait time… almost. The girl manning cash decided she was going to pour my bf a coffee, when he had clearly ordered OJ(which is bottled in a cooler on the customers side), and when I realized her error, I politely said, «no, don’t worry, he actually ordered orange juice». She then tried to argue with me about it! I think I was paying attention, plus the fact that my bf has never once ordered coffee in the 2+ years we have been together. This leads me to believe it would be highly unlikely that he would have spontaneously decided to have coffee that morning. Bottom line, be prepared to wait for both a table and your food, even if there aren’t more than 10 people’s order ahead of yours. And maybe the staff could be a bit more on top of it(think the owner was there and she seemed to be fine). If you want efficient staff, little to no wait times, and excellent food, Southside diner is 10 mins from here and haven’t failed me yet. But they still don’t have waffles…

don’t let its location fool you. this is no trailer park lunch wagon. the food is fresh and affordable, and the scenery is serene. long time locals are in the know, and you’ll often see familiar faces soaking up the sunshine on the patio. ps. whilst they may not offer you a selection of different sauces or toppings, their burger(i mean the actual burger itself) is ten times better than splitz.

One of the drawbacks of being«working class» in the Whistler/Pemberton area is that most of the dining is tailored towards those with considerably fatter wallets than the one I possess. Moreover, most dining establishments come with a sense of pretension that comes along with a world class resort. Fortunately, there are little places like the Riverside Junction Café where regular Joes and Josephines can find a great breakfast or lunch for reasonable prices and fresh tasting ingredients. The café is located in the RV park and has only a few tables, but a menu that is so good it’ll fill them up every day. There’s nothing about this place that makes you feel like you’re trapped in the village surrounded by fusion chefs all aching for their own half hour show on The Food Network or Channel. Rather, this is food as prepared by your favorite auntie who so happens to be a wiz in the kitchen. My wife almost always orders the spinach benedicts and often pines for it when we haven’t been there for awhile. Yesterday I tried their excellent reuben sandwich. They do not skimp on portions and everything tastes like it is the finest produce and ingredients they can find. I’m not sure why anyone would go elsewhere for a good breakfast or lunch. The service is great and the food is outstanding.

This is my absolute favourite breakfast place. It’s a really friendly, quiet place, and there are a lot of «regulars» who go here. I go at least twice a month, and almost always order the same thing: California eggs Benedict(avocado instead of ham) with homefries. Amazing! They also make fresh sandwiches, homemade baked goods, and have a great breakfast special on weekends.
