Visiting Whistler for the weekend and staying right at the base of the mountain. Can see Longhorns from the window. So, of course, I need to sample the nachos and have a drink while we figure out the plan for the weekend The service was great. A charming young Aussie girl(of course– it’s Whistler) served us. Quick and friendly! The nachos — very disappointing. Over baked and and, well, under-whelming. Really little cheese. A little on the pricey side which I wouldn’t mind it they were any good.

This was my favorite location to sit outside and people watch the food was good, the beer was great, and the service was good as well. The only setback i could say is the tables were so tight together, but that’s understandable since they are so busy.

Great place to grab a bite and a drink at the base of Whistler mountain. The wait staff is attentive and nice. They even gave my wife and I a couple shots on the house since we were celebrating our honeymoon:)

Our recent experience at the Longhorn was a great disappointment. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years because of its great location at the bottom of the ski slopes. We love sitting outside after skiing and having a drink or two. We did not really look at the menu because we thought we new what to expect. Well, my($ 15) martini arrived and it barely filled the bottom half of the martini glass. When we got the bill we found out that our not so big order of nachos with chicken cost about $ 30 and the Guinness cost $ 9.25. So our bill was $ 59(including tax but not tip) for a martini, a beer, and nachos. This is about twice as much as we expected. What a rip off. We also noticed that the restaurant was not very busy so probably other people have noticed that prices have been jacked. This is a casual dining bar with gourmet restaurant prices. We will not be back.

Longhorn is a standard Whistler stop over. The patio is huge and has private tables with individual fire pits. Drinks are pretty expensive: $ 29 for a bulldog(2 on standard margarita with a regular size corona). But the service is always amazing and the random people that come here, well, there is NEVER a dull moment!

When you eat food just because you need to eat… nothing special here except the location. A+ in a prime spot. Server reached across my friend to place a plate at his wife — hello! Fries were lightly warm. Had to ask for ketchup — bottle rim was gross and caked with nastiness. Chicken tenders were basic and dipping sauce was generic. Veggie burger was«not so good». Come on, people! You can do better! Sure, your clients are a high percentage of tourists, but you should want to win them back the next time they visit, right?

Holy cow this place is popular! Went there on both Friday and Saturday night while up in Whistler. I dont know if they play music you can dance to on Friday nights, but on Saturday night they did. If you dont feel like dancing, there’s plenty of tables both inside and outside. It was a little cold outside so we decided to sit inside where it was packed, but our server was on it. I didnt expect to get good service as the place was busy, but I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, I liked the atmosphere, the music they were playing and the service. Definitely going back when I’m back up in Whistler.

At the base of the whistler village gondola, this was our first ski day refuel spot. The DC Dog was amazing and gave me plenty of liquid courage to hit trails I otherwise would not have… The poutine was standard, nothing to write home about. Service was remarkably good for a place as packed as it was.

This is a good place to grab food for lunch after the slopes because it is at the base of whistler gondolas. Ordered the club sandwhich which was pretty solid. The bacon made the sandwhich really good. The fries were average, nothing special. They were good with a side of poutine gravy. This place is pretty busy, so service was kind of slow. It took us awhile to get waters. There is a seating area outside which is convent for skiers. Some areas have a firepit to sit by.

Really good place with loads of staff. Brilliant setup with waitresses taking orders on iPads and other staff delivers the orders and a third takes away empty bottles and plates. Makes for quick deliveries and attentive personnel! The food is great. The quesadillas with chicken is to die for with great flavours and really good guacamole. Outside you can find terass heaters and open gas fires to keep you warm. Be sure to get a seat early since it’ll be packed by 15.00!

THISPLACEWASSOMUCHFUN!!! We got here around 5pm yesterday and stayed till about 8pm. It was so awesome — we were inside and there was tons of dancing with an awesome DJ. I thought the service was remarkable as well — when I would order a beer it would arrive in like 30 – 60 seconds. Kind of crazy — usually places like this take forever to deliver you drinks. We had TONS of fun and would absolutely definitely go back next time we’re in town!

Don’t have the $ 30 nachos. Not worth it and not special. Beers okay, food just okay, wait staff is nice. The patrons? Kind of douchey. Sorry. It’s true.

If you’re looking for the perfect après-ski spot — this is it. Great jams, large crowds and the right blend to get the party started. It was a great place to grab some beers by the firepit table, warm up those cold hands and laugh about your adventures on the slopes. The drinks are fairly priced and i highly recommend trying out the local beers! The Whiskey Jack ale is my new fav there!

Service is pretty bad for such a great atmosphere. We didn’t receive water or eating utensils. They lazily take orders as well. Also, on a football Saturday, this was the only resort bar I’ve been to that required a cover fee and two forms of ID. Unacceptable. It did get Crunk in there with the 12s boligerant to the max. Great for drinks. Nachos were good as well. Pretty good, just needs better service

The outside area is great. Fun and with lots of warmers. This bar is good for drinks after hitting the slopes but that’s it. Not so good for food since service is terrible. We got no waters, silverware or napkins. Finally, after I asked for it, got one of each even though we were four on the table. Waitress seem mad that I dare to ask for silverware and water… Go there to drink and sit for a while. That’s it.

This is probably the best spot at the base of the mountin(whistler and blackcomb gondolas) where you can go for apre ski or even a casual lunch/dinner. The location is ideal, large and lively starting at lunch through whenever you want to stay. All the drinks were fairly priced and the food was good. We ordered the poutine with pulled pork and peppers(hearty and flavorful) and the longhorn chicken sanGwich with bacon, mushrooms and lettuce/tomato(portion was generous and good balance of textures). Overall, the service was friendly/attentive/quick, the food and drinks were good and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone skiing in the area. Buon appetito.

One of my all-time favorite bars in Whistler. Great stop when you just get off the slopes and need a cold refreshing drink. This last time I came in was on a Sunday, Seahawks Sunday and were a large group ready to watch the game. Our server Robin was amazing! She helped us find a table and brought along some extra chairs. She had great food recommendations and was quick with drinks and refills. Lots of tables inside, but they fill up fast. Plenty of outside seating as well. Lots of TVs around and sports fans.

I have real mixed feelings about this place. First off, I loved the outdoor patio with the fire tables. Getting to sit outside around a fire and still feeling warm on a cold October night was a really unique experience. These tables are nice and big. We had no problem fitting our group of 10 around one. The inside doesn’t have quite the same atmosphere however. I came back another night and the experience sitting indoors wasn’t nearly as magical. There is nothing special about the décor at all. It’s just a nondescript bar. The food was pretty standard. I enjoyed my veggie burger but it didn’t stand out in any particular way. Some of my group were less satisfied. For instance, the caesar salads were under-sauced. When they complained and asked for extra dressing, the waitress didn’t let us know that hey were going to be charged for it. She ended up taking it off the bill in the end but that was pretty ridiculous. There were also a couple drink orders that never arrived. I know serving a large group is never pleasant but it was very obvious that the Saloon was running on off-season staff levels. That being said, I would give it another chance during the busy season to see if it makes a difference.

Came here on Saturday for dinner after waking around Whistler al day. Longhorn is in such a prime location, beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Was I completely disappointed? No. Would I come back? No. The service was good. The ladies are super friendly but they food was mediocre. I got the ribs and was NOT impressed. My partner got a burger and it was okay. If it wasn’t for the awesome location, I honestly believe this place would not get as much traffic as they do. Thankfully, I went to check in and noticed they had a 25% off check in coupon. Which made the disappointment easier to handle.

We stopped in here late on night for a cold pint of Ale. We sat outside at one of the fire tables. We waited about 10 minutes for a server to show up and take our order. After placing our order, it took a while to receive our pints. IPAs were good, service was not so good. Not sure if the service is always so slow. Fire tables were cool.

This was a great first introductory experience to Whistler. After checking in to our hotel we took a short walk over to Longhorn and got a seat right away. Granted it was spring and around 2:00 pm — I hear during winter there is normally a wait. The outdoor seating was awesome — it was trickling rain a little bit but umbrellas are set up at each high top table and they have heaters allll around. Waiters use iPads to put in your order right at the table and expedites bring the food out — very neat concept to get service quick! Drinks came out very fast and food almost just as quick. Sub eventually came out for a beautiful stay. Great place to people watch and see the mountain bikers come down the hill. Drinks were good — food was good. We for tech yam fries and the quesadilla. Upbeat music perfect for the Whistler scene keeps the atmosphere fun and a band was setting up to play later on. Overall — great experience. Definitely recommend. Two people — about 6 drinks each(that I could remember) and shared two dishes. Bill was only $ 120. Thumbs up!

WELOVEDTHISPLACE. We ended up here every day that we were in Whistler, for Apres Ski. The vibe was so much fun, we met so many fun people from all over the world and had all around good times. The service was always good, the wait staff seems to share the whole patio, so everyone seemed to pitch in and if you needed something, someone was around. Causal, fun vibe. Loved that all the tables are high-tops, gives much more of a pub feel than a lunch restaurant feel. We had a few appetizers over our stay, lots of Kokanee… some Fireball… I had one of their famous cocktails with the upside down beer or cider in it, Moscow Mules, etc… yep, good times. One of the servers mentioned that there’s no kids allowed after 2pm. If I had kids, I would not take them there after 2pm anyway. Word to the wise. It’s an adult crowd. I clicked on the«mention Unilocal for 10%» banner, but it was taking me to some kind of phone call, thing, I have no idea, and since my plan has unlimited International Data and Text but NOT phone calls, I just skipped it. It is the most happening patio in the Village. We went many places over our stay, we are fun-seekers and hedonists in so many ways. We love a good time. We kept coming back to Longhorn! We will absolutely be back when we return to Whistler, which I can’t wait to plan! *** by the time we left Whistler, I was the«check-in Duchess» on Unilocal.BAM!!! That happened!

Food: 4⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Ambiance: 5⁄5 We went to Longhorn after a long day of rainy, boarding. I loved it. I’m from Texas and love tex-mex and Mexican food — this place is not authentic by far, but super tasty none the less. And most importantly, it’s just fun! We got: — pulled pork poutine: I really liked this! Fries weren’t soggy. Pulled pork was flavorful and the bell peppers really made the dish! — nachos: we got nachos with the whole shabang. Chicken and guacamole… It ended up costing us $ 35. Lmao. But! It’s huge. We split it with 9 people. Ehh we sat outside so the cheese got cold real fast. And it’s hard to eat because not all the chips have all the toppings but in theory, this would be an awesome dish — Bulldogs(?): in Tejas, we just call these beergaritas. A nice pitcher of margarita and a whole bottle of corona. Tasty! Fun! Also a surprise $ 20 lmao. — ski shots: four shots are served on a ski! Fun way to convince people to take a shot with you Hahahaha. Really fun place to go after hitting the slopes. Fun environment, fun people, fun drinks!

This place gets a seal of approval from me purely based on location and the vibe on the patio après ski. We went here everyday after skiing and had a blast. Good luck getting a table after 430 so it’s worth skipping the last run to find a place to post up and enjoy the flurry of activity at the base of Whistler with skiers and boarders coming off the mountain. They play a mix of top 40s and retro music and the parties can get pretty wild with some people dancing on tables haha. Good selection of drinks and service(albeit slow since they are so packed). The food is completely average but again this is one of two spots(other being GLC) to be post ski purely for the atmosphere. There’s one table to the left side of the patio too that has a fire pit in the middle which is fantastic if you can get a seat there.

This is one of the best Apres patios. And newly renovated, the fireplace outside is a great evening locale. Who could not enjoy a Winter Saison or a plate of nachos with the fire in front of you and the hill beyond? Just don’t go inside.
