We came at 6:30 pm on a Saturday. It was busy as usual. The servers and hostesses were disorganized and it was chaotic. People were standing at the door waiting for a table. Meanwhile, empty tables were not being cleaned off and so people were not seated. I asked the hostess how long the wait would be for two people. She told us immediately or in 15 minutes. What kind of answer is that? Meanwhile there were 2 tables of 2 that were empty but it took them 15 minutes to seat us. Our server came and took our drink order. We brought a bottle of wine and she took it away and brought it back 10 minutes later opened. Shouldn’t she have opened it in front of us? We also asked for two glasses of water but only got one. Had to ask her to bring another glass of water. After the meal, we asked for our leftovers to be packed up. She never brought it back to us until about 15 minutes later only after we asked for it. Can’t wait till the one in Richmond(by IKEA) opens up. Don’t want to come back to this location again !

Super friendly service. I live pretty far from this White Spot and I am glad I came here on Christmas Day for lunch. All proceed went to charity. As well the servers, hostess, cook and u name it all whitespot employee on that day are donating their time to support charity and this also includes gratuities and everything to charity. For the kids! Kingsway community! Yes they don’t get paid for that day and I am glad to see how many people came to support this event. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger and it tasted awesome. For some reason the camomile tea tasted awesome too. Not to mention it was top notch service too. I don’t mind waiting the 30 mins to 1 hour for a table. Will come back next year on Christmas Day. Please give an applause to these awesome people who thought about this idea. Only at Kingsway and Richmond centre whitespot.

5 star plus service from our waitress Sharon tonight. What a keeper! Ask to be in her section. She’s knows what she’s doing. Get the classic faves, you can not go wrong. Sometimes the features can be good but the turkey burger and flatbread features fell flat.

$ 3.25 for coffee? This appears to be one of the new changes with the new menu that also axed my beloved chicken chipotle wrap. Not impressed. You’re not exactly serving Americanos or French pressed coffees to order. It’s a price gauge and my wife and I will think twice about doing Sunday brunches here.

Thanksgiving turkey dinner is amazing at White Spot. Luckily, we arrived early enough to be seated right away. By 6PM, there was at least 30 waiting to be seated. The turkey was moist, the gravy rich and the mashed potatoes creamy. I’d rather have Thanksgiving here than at home.

I went there on Pirate day. It was swamped. The Pro’s — the servers are really good. My server was really outgoing. The Burger was excellent and messy and good value. The food only took 17 minutes to arrive after giving the order to the server. The place looked really fancey with cool sports bar vibe. The turnoffs — I didn’t see sangria on the drink menu. Did I miss it.

Dinner was great today, we were seated relatively quickly compared to other times. The food also came quickly compared to other times. Our waitress, Nimmi, was courteous and very efficient. She earned her tip tonight!!! Our food was hot upon arrival and plated very nicely.

I came here as a stop over on the way to do errands for a bit of a break and to do some studying. I came around breakfast time and got two hard pouched eggs and a small bowl of mixed fruit. The bill was under $ 10, service was speedy. Since it wasn’t that busy I wasn’t in a rush to finish my coffee, therefore, did some homework. Waitress was friendly.

This was my first time at a White Spot, which I was told was something of a BC institution. It’s a small chain with a family-friendly comfort-food menu(burgers, pies, salads, desserts). On my visit the service was friendly and efficient and they did a decent pint of craft beer to go with my veggie burger and salad(yes, there are a few veggie options if you need them). Nothing spectacular, but I’d happily go back, and the prices were decent too.

There is nothing redeeming about this location. We called to ask how busy it was, they said there was a 5 minute wait. So we drove over and arrived 5 minutes later and when we arrived they told us the wait was so bad we should just go somewhere else. We should have listened. Instead we asked how long was the wait and they said 20 – 25 minutes. It didn’t seem unreasonable so we decided to wait having already driven there. The wait ended up being 15 minutes. We were a group of 6. 2 of the meals were good, the rest were each wrong in a different way. One person got the wrong desert. We told them, they comped it, but they never brought the desert that was ordered. One person got their food 20 minutes after everyone else. First they offerred that person a free drink, then later comped the whole meal because they«deserved it» whatever that means. One person’s burger was a black charred mass, she didn’t have more than a few bites. The restaurant did nothing about this. One person got the wrong entrée. The waitress went away and came back and said«I checked it in the system and I punched it in correctly so it isn’t my fault». They comped the meal but never brought the correct one. Then we waited another 20 minutes for the debit/credit machine — this location only has 1 machine and apparently only the Manager is allowed to use it. When the Manager came over with it we told him of our problems. He didn’t care. All he said was«we’re busy». So we asked, «don’t you want to be busy? Isn’t busy the goal?» he never answered the question. From arriving at the restaurant to being able to pay took a grand total of 2 hours. With turnover that slow it’s no wonder they’re always«busy». So I tweeted about it. They asked me to send them a private message. I sent them a private message asking how being busy is an acceptable reason for getting the wrong food — they never answered the question. Then they sent me an e-mail asking me to call to claim some sort of voucher. I called to claim the voucher and they said they’d have to investigate before they could do anything. Then they messaged me on twitter again and ask for all my personal information and said head office would contact me. Head office never contacted me. Eventually I got a voucher in the mail with a form letter from the location. This place simply does not listen to you at any point. This was my son’s birthday — to say they completely ruined it would be an understatement. We spent almost the entire time just trying to get the correct food. The focus should have been on him. I was embarassed taking my mother and my mother-in-law to this disgrace. There was nothing redeeming about the experience. They just don’t care and they want you to go somewhere else, they will tell you to your face to do so, I strongly suggest you listen to them.

Oh White Spot, you have been the quintessential restaurant for Vancouverites who have just needed comforting food for decades. From burgers to pot pie I believe this is the most western style chain that we have here. My girlfriend absolutely loves the pot pie and I concur, it’s pretty great but that’s really all I can say is «great» about this place or the franchise in general. Everything else is just«good», definitely nothing special or mind blowing but White Spot will continue to be a place that is mostly suitable for families and young kids due to the fame of their pirate packs haha. This location is decent, the service is alright and the food is just like every other White Spot with lots of parking. Out of towners seem to try this place because of the history and that’s all and well but I wouldn’t advise anyone to make this one of your top stop spots lol.

Ah. White Spot. Every couple years I break down and go to White Spot. The pirate pack is genius. Who doesn’t like a cardboard boat? Every restaurant should deliver kids meals in some cardboard vehicle. The last time I went to White Spot, the service was bad and the food worse so I decided not to return. But apparently, my memory is only about 2 years as I decided to take my kids there again. This time the service was great. The restaurant has hired on a whole whack of young people to wait the tables and they are much better than the previous wait staff. But unfortunately, the food is still just horrible. I had a chicken salad that was just drenched in dressing. The chicken was burnt and the kids’ burgers were soggy with sauce. How hard is it to make a burger? They have begun serving the kids deserts in small plastic sauce containers so they can save on washing dishes, I suppose. The kids had to ask if there was a chocolate coin. I don’t know how they remembered the chocolate coin from last time. I guess it was the highlight but this time it was mysteriously missing on both boats. I think they were going to try to save on that too. How can I be so disappointed when my expectations are already so low? Ah. White Spot. See you in 2 years when my memory fades again.

I stopped in for dinner in between appointments tonight. Chris was my waiter… He was fantastic! He treated every guest like they were old friends. He made helpful suggestions for my dinner selection, and went that extra distance with service. He left me alone to enjoy my meal at my pace while I caught up on some work emails, and when he couldn’t persuade me to have desert, he brought me a pirate pack chocolate coin with my bill. He was adorable, and when I return, I will look to sit in his section. Thanks Chris, you have created a repeat customer.

As a mom, I have frequented many White Spots. This happens to be the one in my hood. We’ve come here on many a rainy day when I’m too exhausted to cook. One of the great things about this particular White Spot is that it has some amazing long term staff that ensure the quality and consistency of service. Servers come by enough to get refills, see if you need anything, etc. but they don’t overdo it, which makes for a much better dining experience. They are also quite genuine. As for the food, I don’t usually stray from the typical White Spot staples, as they don’t do special menu items well. I once had a Korean BBQ burger there that was the messiest, strangest tasting burger I’ve ever tasted. Stick with the classic burgers, beef dip and fish and chips and you’ll be just fine:)

This was my first time at White Spot. We came here on a Sunday night with a group of 8 people and it took us about 15 – 20 minutes to get seated. The building itself was clean and well furnished but a smaller than expected. Our waiter was very nice, helpful, and timely. I ordered The White Spot Club with cole slaw and baked potato poutine. It took us about another 15 – 20 minutes to get our food. The coleslaw was light and had sunflower seeds, which was different but refreshing. The poutine was topped like a baked potato; bacon, sour cream, and chives along with the regular gravy and cheese curds. Not bad. The White Spot Club came with turkey, bacon, mayo, chili sauce, lettuce and tomatoes. It was a bigger portion than I thought it was going to be and and surprisingly delicious. I wouldn’t mind coming back.

I started the morning with a family trip to the cemetery. My mom tells me it’s Chinese Eastern. The cemetery is packed with other Chinese people doing their ancestor worship thing, it raining out, it’s cold, and I’m an ardent anthesis! Just to give you an idea of how my morning went! After the cemetery, we went to White Spot! Good old reliable White Spot… it’s a B.C. tradition! White Spot is one of the very few places my family can go to. It has something for everyone! Pirate packs for the kids, a decent salad for my vegetarian brother, brunch for my sister, and a chicken pot pie for me! I can’t say White Spot is awesome but I can say it fairs meet the minimum requirements to be considered a decent family restaurant! You’ll never be wowed coming here, but you won’t go home hungry either! I had the chicken pot pie… It was ok! Enough said!

Once again forgot to take pictures, the visit for brunch was quite nice. Food portion was larger than expected and much better prepared than many other breakfast /brunch place. The place was busy but the server was around plenty, overall a good visit. Their coffee is not that great though… somewhat expected.

I already had tasted the triple-o White Spot double-double at BCIT campus, very tasty, better than the regular franchise burguer. After a few days I brought my girlfriend to the Kingsway White Spot, where we had the double-double served on the plate. The price goes up a bit in comparison with the stand triple-o, but it’s worth it. It comes with one of the best fries around, some small coleslaw portion on the side, and burguer is not wrapped on paper, which kind of gives another feel and sensation. Plate had a good fries portion, We both asked for mayo on the side, not charged which is good, but a reminder for those wanting to try the gravy, it is charged $ 1, it could have been mentioned, as I was offered and accepted. Also, the attendant was very careful with the order, my girlfriend had some restrictions and it came perfect. Overall, it was a Father’s Day, and the place was packed, but the service was quick, burguers came perfectly cooked and we had a very good meal.

Always reliable for those uncontrollable legendary burger cravings that seem to be happening with greater regularity lately. And their chicken fingers with the yellow mustard sauce — best I’ve had in town. Shout out to Mike — he’s the guy with a ponytail. He is a waiter who has been working at the Kingsway/Knight WS for 14+ years(I asked him, since I remember him from my childhood days). The guy is so nice, easy to chat with, attentive, and always tries to go that extra mile. Seriously WS, I hope you’ve given this guy props or some sort of extra recognition.

It was a quick birthday brunch with my other family. I arrived a bit late, but nonetheless just in time to order. The Poor waiter was so busy. Three of us had the raviolli and my nephew had a Monte Mushroom Burger(his first time having one). One of White Spots claim to fame next to their Triple O sauce and the Chicken Pot Pies. The Significant Other had the salmon, which was gobbled up quickly. Litteraly! It must’ve been good. Birthday chatter, family banter, and I was just so happy to be there. Brunch wasn’t cheap, but then again, it was the five of us, all together which is a rarity. It couldn’t have been a better place than at White Spot.
