I’ve been here before many times and the service has never been stellar nor has the food ever been great. But things have gone downhill. The service was abysmal, the waitress avoided even walking by me to see how I was doing, literally taking the long way back to the kitchen to do so. I never got a refill even though I was empty shortly after starting my meal. The portions were quite small, far smaller than they used to be. Looks like I won’t bother coming back.

Very big restaurant right in center Vancouver’s train station. I had the cheese burger which was a home made patty and Delicious there pizza, salmon burger and salads were anything but boring as well. We were on a back room with another group, a loud group let alone it’s a loud atmosphere anyway. We had our little one with us when it was time to go she cried a bit and one guy commented on it. He could barley hear her I’m sure … So screw you buddy!!!

What a depressing looking restaurant/bar/grill. Terrible ambient. Waitresses were half awake at 6pm. The fries were soggy and I did suspect that the kitchen would make a huge batch and serve it over the duration of day, same goes for the wet soft soggy vegi side salad. Terrible sloppy watery soup. Blatant disregard for food and customers. Something aint F@#$% right here and every bite reminded me of it. Inspect the joint and promptly shut it down. Ordered a low quality steak and it was tough and bland. Luckily my jaw could handle the chewing but cant say the same for someone with dentures. You get what you paid for. I wouldn’t bring my imaginary pet monkey here.

Horrible start to the new year! Originally the plan was to eat some vietnamese food but this place caught our eyes. The items on the menu were cheap, and one of our friends really liked the interior wallpaper, so we stayed! The servers took forever to take our order or to even offer us water. Eventually we ordered, and the food took what seemed to be forever to come. It was bland and the hollandaise sauce was dry. Steak was overcooked and hash browns looked like stomped on potatoes. My advice is not to eat here and we won’t return.

For $ 10 I got a small plate full of disappointment. The potatoes were a bit burnt but then some of them were undercooked and kind of frozen. Also the eggs were pretty cold like maybe they’d been made quickly after we ordered but then sat around for a while before they bothered to bring them out to us. The waitress was incredibly rude, as well. It took ages to flag her down each time I needed her, like to order or get the bill. She might have just been daft though, or hated her job and took it out on the customers and didn’t intend to be rude. I would say the food wasn’t inedible and the ice water was pretty good, but I still only give this one star because I’m still sad I gave up a meal at home and ate here instead. I thought the food would be awesome because it’s so expensive, but I was wrong. I guess it kind of serves me right for being lazy.

I’ve actually been in on a few occasions and though the food was okay, I will never be back. «Food is in contact with non-corrosion resistant or toxic materials.» Is a quote from their last inspection report, you can see the full thing at That tells me the operator doesn’t care.

We went here for the first time… I drive by all the time and see the«all menu items under $ 10» and thought hell why not it’s breakfast! Well… We got seated right away and damn was it busy, the serving staff seemed very stressed and overwhelmed. We ordered our food and told it would take 25 minutes and then waited over 40 minutes! Thank god they brought our daughters food first that was nice. And finally when the food came, it was actually pretty good, I don’t think it was because we were starving, but it was actually pretty good… Would I go back??? Possibly if I’m not super hungry, but for steak and eggs under $ 10! Hell ya! Anyway you guys need a better kitchen staff…

Terrible service. Took a long time to take an order. Even longer for the food to arrive. Sandwich menu says soup or fries, so I ordered steak sandwich and ask for soup. Steak was terribly dry. When the bill came, I was charged extra for soup. I complained and say the menu says soup at no extra charge. Server said that’s not what it says on the menu. I grabbed a menu to show her. Then she said, ok $ 2 off(soup was $ 5) because I ordered clam chowder instead of soup of the day… Nothing was mentioned when she told me the list of soup they had. Worst service. Terrible food

One of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten in. Sure the garlic bread was good, but the steaks and fries weren’t. I told the waitress that the food wasn’t sitting well with me. She thought I had to be hospitalized but then I said I didn’t like the food. She said«If you don’t like the food, it’s not my problem». That was pretty rude. When I got my bill, I tried tipping 0 to 5% but it wouldn’t accept a tip any lower than 10%.

I have always seen this restaurant while heading to the PNE or just to the BK across the street. Originally was known as Tom & Jerry’s, but I have never been to that establishment before. Anyways, after a day of snowboarding with the missus, we were too tired to even bother cooking something at home, so we decided it would be best to just pick up some BK on the way home. Driving back the 2nd Narrow, it’s on the way home. Once we got close, I mentioned to my wife, «Hey, we should go to that place(Moulin Rouge) someday…» apparently I have mentioned that often, so she tells me that I should stop saying that and just actually go eat there, thus we did. The $ 4.99 special were gone, but everything on the menu was $ 9.99. It’s pretty much average price for any diner. We ordered the calamari for appy, I had the liver and onions and my wife ordered the lasagna. The calamari wasn’t anything exception. It was decently sized and came with a lot of dip, which is always nice. My liver and onions… first time I ever ordered it, so I can’t really compare. My wife said it’s «meh». For the lasagna, it’s a bit disappointing. It’s just a bunch of sauce, meat and lasagna pasta slapped onto a plate with a layer of cheese on top… then oven baked. We expected at least an actual lasagna, but this wasn’t it. It didn’t taste bad, but once again just«meh», much like the rating I’m giving this place. All in all, this place isn’t a place I would recommend or purposely choose to go if there are other options. The hours are pretty good, so it’s a nice alternative than the late night phở joints or Denny’s. Meh…

I can’t give no stars so here’s at least one. Word to the wise: do NOT order a Long Island iced tea The waitress will argue with you aggressively before admitting she was«told» to make it more like a weak Pepsi mixture that doesn’t seem to resemble anything like the drink requested. This is of course after she avoids your table most of the time you’re there. If you don’t want to be disappointed have a pasta dish-portions for pasta are huge.

I came here with extremely low expectations, but it seems things have changed a bit for the better. The food here is still just average, but that’s what you should expect from $ 10 meals. The staff seem to be pretty good at noticing us and getting us seated. The only thing I did not like toouch was the blaringly loud middle eastern music that was pumped up to night club levels. It was really difficult to have conversations with the people I was with. I had the house wine, and it’s the cheapest watered down tasting wine you’d ever taste. Probably skip the wine and go for beer.

Ok, let’s be honest… do you really expect a place that looks like it still lives the 1970’s and everything on the menu is under $ 10 to be the f**king Ritz?! No. You are cheap and want a decent meal(like me). And that is exactly what you are getting. Sure, it’s not the highest quality and the service can be lacking(but seriously, I’ve seen worse at nicer places) but the menu is great and the selection is decent. I recommend getting something from their«Entrees» menu as you get sauce and a side of steamed veggies. Like I said, I’m cheap and look for the best value and this place is up there.

I moved in to the neighborhood about 8 months ago, and having been dying to try this place. I’ve heard lots of good AND bad things about this place, so today I finally decided to check it out. Brad and I got stoned first to enhance the experience. This place is open 24 hours a day, and has a full bar and wifi, that is v sick. There is also a wicked dance floor!’ We were a bit confused because 3 different waitresses came to take our drink orders and food orders. I ordered a Cesar, and brad had a coffee. The Cesar was awesome!!! Fresh celery and not too spicy. I had steak and eggs, it was great, the eggs were a bit iffy, but nice big portions ect… Brad had eggs Benedict and he said it was awesome. I recommend this place for anyone who isn’t a snob. It’s a bit sketchy but awesome!

I will NEVER go here again!!! Every single time I have ordered from here the service has been TERRIBLE. I ordered a meal for take out and when I went to pick it up and asked one of the servers how long it would be until my meal was ready, because no one had given me an estimate on the phone. She just said«I don’t know» and went on to the next person waiting at the door. Never came back over to me. Then after waiting ten mins I decided to ask another server if I was going to be ready soon or if I should come back. She looked over and my order was sitting on the counter ready to go. She said«oh it’s ready! It’s right there» then WALKEDAWAYFROMME! I sat there for another 10 mins staring at my food sitting there, the worst part is she kept«letting me know» as I sat there that it was ready. Never went over and got it for me, just decided to sweep. FINALLY, she got it for me. It was the WRONG thing. I ended up walking out. It was so rude. Terrible customer service. BUT that being said I tried the place again. Placed a take out order, with the one and only good server there. I ordered the veal cutlet, brought it home, ate. Woke up a couple hours later with a horrible case of FOODPOISONING. Do not go here. If I could give this place less than one star I would.

Came here to try their $ 6 special — talk about a bait and switch. You need to order a soup($ 4 or $ 5) or drink to get the special. So $ 6 really means $ 11. Sorry, but X-Site down the street is a better deal. The salmon wasn’t bad, as the portion size is somewhat decent. They went light on the fries though. The full rack of ribs($ 15) is a better deal, though again, it isn’t the most filling. A bit more sides would’ve been nice. I feel really bad for this place, as I can’t recommend it based on perceived lack of value. Quality is somewhat decent though.

One of my go to diners. For an everything under ten dollars menu, this place is a great value. I generally come once a month. It used to be called tom and Jerry’s but recently changed it’s name to moulin rouge. I’m working on trying all the items on the menu but there are a bunch. My favourites are the spaghetti and meatballs and also the lasagna. Definitely feeds my pasta craving better than a trip to Boston pizza.

$ 5.99 classic breakfast and $ 8.99TJ Benny. Food was alright. Very very average quality food. Good portion size. Hollandaise sauce on the benny looked like it was made from powder. It did not taste that great. The eggs were large and lots of ham in the benny. The hash was decent. Potatoes with some raw green onions sprinkled on top for decoration. The 3 stripes of bacon on the classic breakfast was cooked well. Food arrived hot. The server(one man army) was trying very hard to refill coffee, take orders, check up on customers and was very busy on her feet as she was the only one working. I watched her multitask as I waited for my food. She gave us ice water when we asked promptly. Water with ice! Not like 80’s where it meant I received a glass of cool temperature water without an ice cube in sight. A number of customers all stopped by the same time that the kitchen took some time to make the food. I think it took 15 minutes for our food to arrive which was okay. I think only one chef was working. The cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable. The carpet look like it needs a good cleaning. The bathroom had an odd smell. Plus, the restaurant looks dated and needs an overhaul. Judging by what everyone else was ordering around us as I people watched, it looks like the steak and eggs for $ 9.99 was the most popular food item at 8am.

Ugh… If we tasted the food I have a feeling my review would be long and filled with regret. After being seated at our sticky table and perusing the menu, we were greeted by our server. A lovely woman followed by a cloud of BO. The smell crawled up my nose and banished my hunger for anything from them straight away. Walked out without ordering. Opting for Costco hotdogs instead. No regrets.

I’ve came here because my parents have heard about it so since I’m a 14 year old who can’t buy a house I had to come. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and a bacon and cheese chicken burger Vanilla shake-had little pieces of ice cream in it and just tasted like a frothy milk 2 go Bacon and cheese chicken burger. The chicken was 2 chicken filets and the burger had mozzarella onion pickles and tomatoes with bacon. It’s what you expect and it was ok if you’re willing to have a mess.

I came here when it was Tom & Jerry’s once before a show and the buffet at the time was horrible, the food was horrible and so was the service. We decided that since this was under a new name that we would try it again. New name still awful service and food. We waited too long but we were hungry and there was nothing else nearby, therefore, we were forced to settle.

We were passing by the area and noticed that they had a sign saying«everything under $ 10!». Sure enough, most of the items were $ 9.99(yeah, under $ 10 alright heh) but because hubs and I had never been there we decided to give it a shot. Most of the time we drop by Le Petit Saigon across the street. I ordered the Veal Cutlet and he got the New York Steak, and a French Onion Soup to share. Right away I noticed that there was some weird yellow stuff in the salt shaker. I have no idea what it was but it didn’t look so great. We wisely left it alone, but soon the soup arrived. Salty. It was so salty I could barely even drink a spoonful. Hubs likewise couldn’t really stand it. With soggy bread and cheese, it was an awful concoction. Luckily, when the server asked about our food, she took the soup back and replaced it with Clam Chowder, which tasted so much better. It wasn’t that creamy either, which was great. The portions were… Meh. There were plenty of fries and vegetables but the cutlet was flat and I could barely taste what it was through the breading. I had a bite of Hubs’ steak and it was a bit better but still was too bland. I think the Clam Chowder was better than all the entrees to be honest. Service was so so, minus replacing our soup. There was nothing that special and we probably won’t actively come back to this place. 3⁄5 stars.
