The food was way better than I expected it to be. Good drinks, ok prices, great food, huge portions! Service is good. I always thought this place was an old run down bar, but it’s actually a lot better than I expected.

Great place, love coming here, but unfortunately service is slipping big time. It used to be top notch, but now, even on a slow night it takes forever to get a drink, silverware, or even place your order. It’s a shame.

I ended up at this place because it was nearby to my hotel. There were lots of people on the streets walking around and only 2 inside the place, which should have been a tell. Oh well, I was hungry. I ordered the daily special of bacon and cheese on grilled sour dough. Nothing fancy. The sandwich wasn’t bad but boy was it greasy. Also the bartender/only waiter was dealing with essentially 3 tables at totally different areas of the place. Sadly, the drink glasses are extremely small so I kept finishing off my drink and would have to wait. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything special. Keep walking and find something else is my opinion.

We stumbled upon this place for a late dinner and couldn’t have been happier. I ordered the Bacon & Gwuak Burger with salad and my husband ordered the Canuck Burger with salad. Our salads were huge, fresh and delicious. The burgers were at about ½ pound and were very juicy. The buns were fresh, whole-grain, and held up well under the numerous toppings. It was only $ 22 for both our meals! They played great music the whole time we were there(80’s Rock). Also, the service was good despite it being very busy and they had the world cup game showing on multiple TVs. We’ll definitely eat here again the next time we’re in town.

first of all, the service here is amazing. We had a great couple of waitresses, and they helped my boyfriend find a beer he would really enjoy — much more help than other places offered. my drinks were made really well, and this was my first drinking experience in Canada! The food was pretty good I suppose, though the vibe of the place, the drinks, and the service were fantastic.

Stopped in while we were in town for a few days. We happened to stop in on a day their wings were on special so we were able to try a few different flavors. Jamaican jerk wings icky. Habanero awesome! Be careful if you order a cocktail. They like to short-pour so the bartender(manager) can have some for themselves. Not kidding… saw it myself. When I called her out, all of a sudden shots showed up in front of us. That really left a bad, bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, we had a blast with the rest of the staff and they even helped us with some sight seeing suggestions. Not sure about the karaōke though…

Used engine oil used to cook the fries. You could smell how bad the fries were as the plate hit the table. Tried a few and could taste a lot of what ever was cooked in it over«x» amount of times that it was used for. Told the server and we were given some poor excuse that the manager was not in, so no discount. I didn’t care for the discount, just change that rancid deep frier oil.

A DIRTBAGDUMPIN A GREATLOCATION Wear work clothes in this dump because it’s a crap-hole. The beer selection SUCKS and the beer is never cold enough by even bad pub standards. Taco Tuesdays are good along with the Sunday 10 buck burger and beer bad deal. NEVERORDERWINGS… They are the worst wings in the entire world, really. Earth, all of it. Some of the ladies that work there are cute, fun and hot. And some are flat slutty… Slutty is good. No training, just skin and attitude. The music system really sucks and the TVs are crap and poorly placed. There is no attempt to create anything more than the dumpiest dump of pub dumps in Canada. I don’t want to think about what pests thrive in their dank kitchen. NEVERORDERTHEWINGS! Why they would buy fresh raw chicken wings then cook and season them to be horrible makes no sense. They can steal a recipe from dozens of other pubs yet these people are too lazy or stupid to care. But what a GREAT location. If you are looking for a low-class dump in Vancouver for casual bad beer this is the dump for you. Or, if you feed off the poor situation of others, the clientele at the Two Parrots will have you feeling like a wealthy well-dressed king or princess out to see how the poor people live. Have I mentioned the location? NEVERORDERWINGS!

Shame. Myself and friends were regulars here, spent hundreds of dollars here. Until we got banned for no reason, and this is a personal vendetta against us from the sour ass crypt keeper running the place. Yes, the 178 year old witch trying to run the bar. Sorry you hate everyone who tries to enjoy themselves. Crawl back into your hole! However, the food is great and everyone else here is super dope, sorry that they have to work with such a wretched human being. Best to go when she’s sleeping in her coffin…

I always have a good time here. There’s nothing fancy about it, but that’s why I like it. The atmosphere is laidback, the staff are friendly, the décor is kinda funky(I love the tacky tropical mural) and it has nothing of the cookie-cutter, watered-down format that most of the soulless bars in that area along Granville suffer from. The drinks are decent value, although their cocktails are a couple dollars more than they’re worth. A few more choices in terms of beer and wine would be nice. The food is also decent value — I can’t say I’ve ever had a GREAT meal in here, but I’m usually pretty satisfied. The cobb salad is awesome. There’s also plenty of screens and they usually show whatever big sporting events are going on — sometimes with the sound on, sometimes not. Last time I was in here they offered $ 2 beers every time the Canucks scored — although the serving was definitely only $ 2 worth of beer. Having said that, this isn’t really a sports bar. It’s just a great place to hang out for a couple of hours without worrying about posing.

While staying 2 doors down at the Ambassador Hotel, my friend and I stumbled on this place for breakfast our first morning in town. We had the Yaletown Benny and loved it so much that we ended up there eating the same thing the following 2 mornings. We also came at night to enjoy the drinking and nightlife. Good service and excellent food! Highly recommended.

What the Two Parrots lacks in quality it more than makes up for in atmosphere, price, weekly deals, and being that rare beast, a genuine downtown Vancouver bar(especially amongst the soulless bar scene that is Granville St). The drinks are decent prices. The draft selection could do with a couple of extra choices. The food is very affordable, and portions generous. It’s also decent quality as bar fare goes. A great spot for a few beers and food without the Vancouver ‘lifestyle tax’ added to your final bill!

I had no excuse not to try this place, since I live literally across the street from here, but I didn’t know what to expect. Initially I went with a friend for a few drinks. They had quite a bit in terms of selection in regards to Beer, which was nice considering all the snooty places in Yaletown around the corner that have trimmed-down beer menus. I felt like comfort food, so I ended up getting Moosehead and ordered the Macaw Burger. The Burger patty itself was a very generous sized portion, and it was delicious! It came with either fries, salad, or soup, but I stuck with the standard fare and picked fries. The fries were good enough to be able to munch on after the Burger while I had a few more beers. For Burgers though, I would suggest to definitely go in with an empty stomach and it will be full. They also have a Gigantic Burger with 2POUNDSOFBEEF, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles etc which you can try to eat in less than one hour to get it for free, but I didn’t want to try it. I will definitely try one day though, because it sounds like an awesome burger. After the first visit, I realized that they also served breakfast, and I decided to give it a shot one morning. I was very pleasantly surprised that they have a fantastic portion and price point when it came to ordering breakfast items. If you want all the fixings, get the LUMBERJACKJUMBO…2 pancakes, 3 eggs, ham, sausage & bacon. Just fucking awesome. If you aren’t that hungry, there are some other options like eggs benny, french toast, omeletts etc. I am VERY picky when it comes to ordering breakfasts(as you can tell from my other reviews), but I was more than happy with the breakfast they serve here. Now I get takeout almost every week. I think i’m going to be a regular here. The food is great, drinks are fantastic, and I think the staff is very friendly and welcoming(more-so than other pubs/diners). You can walk up to the bar and strike up a conversation with any of the bartenders, whereas at other places they won’t even look at you unless you have your wallet out. Perfect location too, right on the corner of Davie/Granville, so you can catch breakfast early, and walk down to the seawall/park area, or you can come here and chill after work(a definite MUST during hockey season, as they have t. v’s everywhere, and it’s such an exciting environment)

Great breakfast and bloody mary spot. My wife and I had the Yaletown benny and brisket benny. Awesome taste on both. Bloody mary was great. Service was friendly and attentive. Would recommend this place for a Sunday Funday.

I wish I could give this place a 3.5, but since I can’t I’ll sit on a 3. I do like it. The nachos are huge. My friend who is a nacho fan was impressed. I’m less of a nacho fan and I was less impressed, but hardly disappointed. Bottles of beer were reasonably priced, service was reasonable. My favourite part about this place is the departure from the Donnelly pub format that seems so prevalent. This place looks and feels relaxed. The clientele is diverse. This place is comfortable.

Great sportsbar with delicious burgers and awsome fries. The prices are super. All in all, a full package and no deficits. Keep on doing so. When I will come back to Vancouver, I will definitely come back to the«Two Parrots».

GAMEOVER. I was in love with your breakfast… You mess up last time as it was mediocre… The ham was cold and chewy etc… That break my heart because I have been there for many years… I came back a month ago and the chicken burger was smaller. WHAT? HOW? Yes it was as they cut in an half the chicken breast… WTF… What are you trying to do here? Saving money and/or loosing customers??? Then recently I gave a last shot… Two of my friends ordered(it was my recommendation) their now(in my book) UNFAMOUS baked spaghetti… Even if the size was smaller then before it was not the problem… The problem was the overcooked spaghetti vs a bunch of ground beef mixed with tomato sauce… Veggies? Nope… Wait… I forgot about the SOGGYSALAD mixed with CANOLA oil instead OLIVE oil and balsamic vinegar… No one was happy and I was feeling real bad for bringing my friends from the states here… This is sad, sad, sad… I had so much fun at Two Parrots before… But now the party is OVER.

Two Parrots. What can I say? Two Parrots. They have two Parrots on the sign. It’s called Two Parrots. I wonder what came first– the name, or the sign? It’s interesting to think about. But forgive me, I haven’t come on Unilocal to discuss signs and names, although Two Parrots does indeed have both a sign AND a name. The name, as I’ve said, is Two Parrots. The food tastes like food. The beer tastes like beer. The tables taste like tables. As far as bars go, this is one. As far as places to eat go, this is one. And as far as places with fairly attractive waitresses go, this might be one, depending on your waitress. Would I eat here? I already have. Would I eat here again? I already have. And will I be eating here in the future? I can’t see the future. I might be dead, or worse, so who knows. Only God knows if I’ll be back at Two Parrots. Two parrots. It’s as delicious as Two Parrots Perch & Grill.

Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. It reminds me of a slightly higher end Denny’s. Tried the Vegetarian Explosion(omlette). Lots of Hash browns, and 4 pieces of toast so good portion for a big eater. The food is nothing memorable, besides the large portion. It was too bad we had to wait a long time(40 minutes) to get our food because there was a mix up. Overall it is just OK. It is definitely not the best breakfast ever, and not the worst… the quality of the ingredients are not all that great. I would come back because of the convenience factor but I would not necessarily recommend this place. For excellent breakfast try Nice Café in East Van(All day breakfast) or Café Medina in Chinatown area.
