This is probably my favourite sushi place that I have found in Vancouver. I know there’s 10000 to choose but most are subpar at best. Sushi Miga is always fast, always fresh and have lots of options. And it’s cheap. I always try different sushi places that may be closer or cheaper or advertise better rolls but I always end up coming back here. Love it!

This is perfect. Sushi is gangster. Pop over for a few take out rolls once in a while. Love the quality of the sashimi and the price is normal.

Sushi Miga is my favourite sushi spot in the area! The serving staff is so happy and kind to us every single time. I’ve been served by a few different people and have been overly satisfied every time. Their servers seem to be genuinely happy people, which I think is awesome. The food is consistent too. I love the chicken tempura roll here. It’s really crunchy and yummy :) Most typical sushi joints will serve food that tastes fishy. I’ve never ever had that gross fishy taste at Miga. I am very comfortable at this place, and it is always spotless whenever I go in. I find that other local sushi restaurants I have been to, seem to hold an unfriendly/inattentive demeanour. I love Sushi Miga and their friendly staff, and look forward to my biweekly sushi dates/take out from this location!

The restaurant is nice and well-kept with good décor, and the staff who greeted us are friendly and nice. However, we ordered take out and quickly realized when we opened the box at home that they didn’t include the the nigiri that came with one of the boxes! I think it was an honest mistake, but still quite disappointing. The sushi also didn’t taste fresh, perhaps because they weren’t very busy when we went later in the evening. Might give them a second chance to see if they do any better.

I came across this place on my way back home. I thought I try it out. I came on an evening that didn’t look too busy but it was. They seemed like they were swamped with orders! or under staffed. I agree with the comment from below that it is Korean owned, my order took 30 min. I asked if they could call me back as had the dog that day. I thought the sushi was pretty good. I’d go back again, but would recommend calling in the order if your picking up. First time there.

There are many sushi joints around this city to try and this one has caught my eye. I’ve driven by many times(old James Restaurant location) but never stopped until today. The staff(I’m assuming owners) are very friendly. Great service too. Restaurant is quiet and very clean but steady stream of take out dinners kept the kitchen busy. A large menu with what you’d expect to see. I opted for a lunch bento for $ 8.95. Everything was delicious and of high quality. A generous portion of tempura including a giant prawn. They have Asahi on tap which is always good in my books! Definitely on my return list.

I’d give it 3.5 stars. Another Korean owned Japanese restaurant but don’t let that dissuade you. Have been a few times now for both dine in and take out. Bento boxes are pretty good value if you’re looking for good variety in you’re meal. Menu does say bento specials are only available till 3 but have been kind enough to allow me to order one at 3:45. As some others have mentioned, the tea and miso could have been served a little hotter at times. Other than that, pretty standard sushi spot to satisfy a sushi craving. Free wifi was a nice touch.

The kids and I were tired and hungry. I didn’t feel like driving too far from home so decided to try Sushi Miga. First impression was good. Service was friendly and the restaraunt was clean. Food is very well made and authentic. At first I was happy because the prices were competitive … however once the food arrived I was disappointed. The portions were very very small. So although the food was good and service was also very good … we most likely won’t be returning to this place because there was little value for my hard earned dollar.

I had a craving for 29thAVE curry katsu but I was too late. The Sushi Miga has arrived. When you open the door the atmosphere is completely changed from previous owners. Servers at the door are friendly and greet you, they show your table without feeling like you’re in the way or being rushed out by a high strung boss lady *AHem AHem*.(adoring fans of 29th Ave Café, u know, u know *invisible high 5s*. yeah…) The menu is plentiful and has a nice variety of rolls to choose from. I was planning to get a chicken teriyaki hotplate with a side of sashimi, some seaweed salad and some tempura to start. The waiter kindly pointed out there was a Bento box combo for much less. SOLD! We ordered 2 bento boxes, 2 special rolls &4 spring rolls. The Sashimi wasn’t just a couple slices of end piece salmon and/or tuna they can’t use for the deluxe sashimi platter, NO! its was top cuts piled with VARIETY. Salmon, tuna, snapper & I think Toro too with a bit of seaweed salad right on top. On the side they had the ponzu garden salad and 5 big tempura veggies + 1 shrimp. The chicken teriyaki size was average but importantly crispy and saucy. 3 california rolls were neatly tied the box together. NTB for $ 12 The Unagi roll. $ 5~ is the best value i’ve seen for Unagi in rolls, but their philly cream cheese centre is very concentrated, not soft or pleasant to chew on but if you like cream cheese and unagi go order this roll. The Double Spicy roll is interesting with diced creamy kimchi on top with spicy salmon in the centre unique flavors in spiciness. Skip on the spring rolls thou, nothing special. Dim sum places could make it crispier and more filling. Will be coming back and for takeout too. Service is great, food is too and the atmosphere is welcoming.
