We ordered take out and you get 25% off! However, I’m afraid the sushi was rather mediocre. If it weren’t for the discount, the sushi really isn’t worth it. We were rather disappointed with our huge order. We ordered Chirashi Don for $ 16.95−25%; the sushi was terribly thin and small. This is the first time I’ve seen bean curd as part of a Chirashi dish, what a rip off. The BBQ black cod was also a big rip off at $ 13.95−25% you get four thin, small slices of fish. Everyone liked the chicken karaage with green salad($ 11.95−25%), but that was the only thing that was enjoyable. We ordered a variety of rolls that were mediocre compared to other sushi places. They were a few good AYCE reviews, but the take out was terrible. Don’t know if I want to come back to try AYCE.

I don’t think there’s such a thing as a great AYCE restaurant. That said, for what Kingsway Sushi does, they do it alright. As others have mentioned, their hot foods, such as their chicken and deep fried scallops/shrimp bombs/oyster are actually pretty tasty! Their sushi offering is alright… haven’t had anything taste slimy or rotten! Servers are usually pretty good and patient too. Although they charge a few bucks more than other places, it’s definitely worth it for the better service and better quality food. They’re part of the Top Gun Family of Hot Pot and assorted restaurants so if you have one of those 10% discount cards at their other restaurants, it’ll work here too.

We had the membership card, so dinner AYCE after tax was $ 25/person. To get your money’s worth, I recommend: — Sashimi — salmon, tuna, tai, hokkigai, etc. — Beef tataki, apparently they used to have beef sashimi, but now they only have tataki — Steak skewers — delish! I was expecting AYCE quality to be like chewy rubber, but they were surprisingly tender and juicy — Ribs — who doesn’t like these?! — BBQ Wings — typical Asian style wings, can’t go wrong with those. They also have fried wings and chicken karaage(boneless) — Scallop sundae roll — You won’t get your money’s worth, but I liked their seaweed salad. Considering Costco sells a small box for $ 15.99, getting an unlimited bowl of it made me just that much happier Also, their coconut and mango puddings are delicious, The only thing I would not recommend is their oyster motoyaki. it’s really gritty and the sauce tasted a little funky(not as creamy as other places).

3.5 stars can’t really complain since i only come for late night or lunch ayce and for the price, i am stuffed. the sushi is not too loaded with rice which i appreciate and their cooked foods are pretty good! I’m especially fond of their chicken kaarage and beef short ribs as those are pretty good and fresh. their chopped scallop is okay as well as alaska roll but the spicy tuna can taste fishy depending on the visit. the prices are slowly creeping up though so I don’t know if around $ 17 is worth it anymore.

I went here a little over a year ago with a friend. I was disappointed… The service was slow(and it wasn’t busy), but overall the server was decently friendly. The most disappointing and completely surprising thing was that when our sushi arrived there were a few dark hairs in the rolls. We did not end up finishing the sushi… Needless to say. Not really sure what happened there… But I haven’t been back since. :(

Worst service ever. They made us wait 15 minutes and said a section was closed even though there was tables set up and a server in the section?

Kingsway Sushi is a typical Japanese AYCE restaurant. I went there last night with a friend for its«late night» AYCE. The selection is quite sparse for its late-night menu. The quality of the food provided is alright.

I have to say that I would not recommend this place. The sushi seemed to be border line old and it was very hard to understand the server. Bright lights should have been a sign to stay away.

Not bad but nothing spectacular. If you want AYCE Japanese food, this will definitely satisfy that need. It is quite pricy for $ 26 per person, but the place is always packed, so don’t go there overly hungry, or you’ll get quite angry and impatient. Their service was decent. My main complaint is how they deliver 50% of what you ordered. I get that they don’t want you wasting that food, but when it’s my FIRST order, give me what I asked for! The items taste the way you’d expect Japanese food to taste.

The standard all you can eat location. $ 26-$ 30 range. Less selection for the $ 26 option. Food is standard. They do have some unique items on their menu. Scallop sushi, lobster sushi, beef tataki. Before you ask, there is no unlimited pop refill. Fish on Rice is less than 5 minutes away. Would recommend everyone go there because they have unlimited pop refill for the same price. If I wasn’t so lazy that day, I would have went to Fish on Rice instead.

Came late for dinner. We were not formally greeted at the door with a hello or anything. Just asked for how many, and taken to our table. Same thing on the way out, they just look at you and watch you leave. Otherwise, Service was fast. Couple of items were somewhat fishy, like Oyster Motoyaki & Scallop rolls. The BBQ chicken wings were just that, Grilled wings, no deep fry, and they were very tasty. Sashimi was also good. One devilish little delight was their Shrimp Bomb. A small pastry wrapped with shrimp shaped into a ball with a tie on the top like a little bomb. If you frequent here often, you can BUY a membership, and it will give you a discount on every other visit.

Good AYCE Japanese food for a reasonable price. Service was fast. I enjoyed most of the food except Dynamite Rolls and Chicken Teriyaki Rolls. These rolls were dry and didn’t taste fresh. California Rolls, Kappa Maki and Chopped Scallop Rolls were fresh. My sister and I loved scallop rolls so that we ordered them twice. Ika Karaage and smelt were really good. Mango pudding was not bad. Honey Mustard Chicken was little weird. Only downside is having to pay 60 cents per piece for Salmon and Tuna Sashimi. Other than that $ 13.95 was well spent per person during lunch. You can pay more for Lunch Plus or Lunch Supreme option. It’s $ 1 cheaper if you have Top Gun Gold Card.

The all you can eat was okay for the price you paid, you sometimes forget what you ordered. I wish they told u what they’re giving to you because usually they just drop food on your table and leave. The service was okay and the sushi was kind of mushi. Definitely not high quality or anything.

First time coming to this place for ayce sushi, the service sucked, total waste of money and time, when I finished paying without tip the manager didn’t give me my debit then he said«why you no tip» I’m like buddy your service was slow. Then gives me my debit and says don’t come back.

Starving and craving sushi at night is something that happens to me very frequently. This time it was too late that I couldn’t get sushi delivered to my place. So, for my second option, I visited Kingsway Sushi which is only a few minutes away from my house. I started off with some Salmon Nigiri. I ordered 10 pieces but they gave me only 6 pieces. It wasn’t the issue because the quality seemed to be not so great. The colour was dull light orange and lacking flavours in terms of taste. There wasn’t much rice in it compared to other AYCE sushi places(2.0÷5.0). House Roll consisted of salmon, avocado, tamago, crab stick and lettuce topped with tobiko. It was alright considering AYCE quality, but far below the average(2.0÷5.0). Spicy Cheesy Dynamite Roll was supposed to take 10 minutes but it literally took less than 2 mins. It was a bit cold and the cheese wasn’t melting. It consisted of avocado, prawn tempura with some spicy sauce, and topped with cheese slice. I was disappointed by its appearance but actually I liked it more than their House Roll(2.5÷5.0). Oyster Motoyaki was served very hot and it seemed to be freshly made. However, it had some fishy ordour(1.0÷5.0). Deep Fried Scallop was disappointing — overcooked, tasted more like burnt batter than anything else.(1.0÷5.0). Deep Fried Shrimp Bomb was pretty good. It was like deep-fried wonton. It had the shrimp paste on the inside and covered with the deep-fried dumpling skin. The sauce blended well with the shrimp bomb(2.5÷5.0). BBQ Short Ribs were pretty good although it was on the saltier side. The meat was tender and moist. The marinate was absorbed nicely as well(3.5÷5.0). Chicken Karaage was pretty good too. It was really crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I could tell that it was freshly made upon my order. I felt it was a bit salty for my liking. But still it was way better than other cooked dishes(3.5÷5.0). BBQ Chicken Wing — couldn’t stand the hair on the skin. I am not a big fan of tuna unless it’s white or red tuna. Since I need some rice to balance the amount of salt i consumed I ordered some Tuna Nigiri. Surprisingly their tuna was better than the salmon(3.0÷5.0). I thought their sashimi shouldn’t be that bad after having tuna nigiri, so I ordered 2 pieces of Hamachi Sashimi($ 0.80/each). It was my first time getting sashimi in a bowl. The sashimi was too tiny but that was alright since it was only 80 cents. In terms of taste it wasn’t the best obviously. It wasn’t defrosted enough so the texture was pretty bad(2.0÷5.0). Alaska Roll consisted of crab meat, avocado and salmon. The salmon used in this roll was actually better than the ones on salmon nigiri(2.5÷5.0). Chopped Scallop Roll was way too fishy to the point where I felt disgusted(0.5÷5.0). Ebi Sunomono was pretty bad. It was way too sweet and vinegary(0.5÷5.0). I was kind of adventurous when I was ordering and. got some Kimchi… It was sweet and spicy. Umm… not toooooo bad. But I don’t wanna have it again in my life(1.0÷5.0). Honey Mustard Chicken looked very unappetizing but it tasted pretty good. It was more like chicken katsu with garlic honey mustard sauce on top. At this point I realized most of their deep fried meat dishes are pretty good(3.5÷5.0). Garlic Butter Seafood Udon was tasteless(0.5÷5.0). Overall, some cooked dishes were fair enough for its cheap prices. Yet, the Kingsway«Sushi» doesn’t offer good sushi. If you are starving at night and want to eat some meat as much as you want, give it a try. $ 15 wouldn’t be too bad. But be aware that you don’t get good service here. This place is not an option for you if you look for good quality AYCE sushi. Vancouver needs some premium seafood buffets! PROS + Open until late + Cooked dishes are considered good CONS — Below average quality — sashimi and sushi — Bad and rude service — please don’t throw dishes on my table. Oh my goodness. They went above and beyond today and I felt strongly compelled to change their ratings. Their sushi is amazing by the way. For the price you are paying, I almost wanted to cry after seeing how amazing the marbling on the salmon was. Anyways, I came here a couple weeks ago and I did not have a reservation. It was a last minute decision and reservations was the last thing on my mind. Especially since I have been here numerous times before and had not gotten any problems. But there was another factor that I had forgotten, Father’s Day! I was upset, bummed and super hungry since I have not eaten the entire way from Seattle, to create a huge appetite to eat a lot here. They told us the wait would be 1.5−2 hours. I was obviously disappointed, but the host offered to call Richmond Sushi for us. I was surprised that they would even do that. He called them and got us on their waitlist, and by the time we drove to Richmond, our table was set and ready for us. The fact that they did not have to do it, yet did it for us anyways, is pretty amazing. And something that I really appreciated. Thank youuuu, Kingsway Sushi, for not making our drive, a total failure.

AYCE Lunch Plus for $ 21.99 is great. Loving the BBQ beef ribs, it’s very tasty. Staffs are much nicer now, much better than before. Highly recommended.

Pretty solid AYCE. Not my favourite(that would be Kyo), but definitely ok. I’ve been here for late-night AYCE a few times and I like it. Menu is pretty decent, service is really good. I LOVE the sunomono here and I usually order like 4. Don’t get the cheese dynamite roll or whatever it’s called. Other than that, pretty good!

Tried the dinner sushi option. The selection is quite good. The presentation is quite beautiful, especially with the sashimi. The enoki seafood soup is actually quite good — much better than the miso imo. The one dish that was a bit of a head scratcher was the shark fin — I couldn’t tell if they were real or not, but honestly they tested like dried squid(the Chinese snack), but a whole lot more dense.
