Tasty and affordable, you can’t go wrong with that. There’s usually a good lunch combo deal, and I have yet to be disappointed.

If you’re looking for value, this place is it. And if you’re wanting to look generous and let your client do all the eating without breaking a $ 20 bill, again, this is it lol. Luckily with my job, I can do all the talking and pitching while the clients go eat average sushi. It’s a quick in and out place, populated mostly by students in the area. While not a hole in the wall, it’s simple and clean. After eating out at many nicer places, they’re not one that makes you want to go back for more nor really recommend to anyone. But yes, better than a food court.

The recent change in ownership has vastly improved the place. It used to be nearly empty when I went in, and the rice was kind of soggy. But it was cheap and easy and on my way, so I went regardless. Now, it’s always busy, but not hard to get a table. The presentation is pretty and the sushi is good and inexpensive. If I had a complaint, it would be the jars of soy sauce on the high tables; it’s difficult to pour a small amount from them, and they always drip. Sit at a regular table, where they’ve got the classic Kikkoman pourer.

I ate here a few hours ago and it was absolutely delicious! When my friend led me in she spoke so highly of the place and I was a bit skeptical, especially seeing the cheap prices, but after we ordered and got our food, I understood why my friend had taken me there. Everything we got was so tasty! I was pleasantly surprised by this place and would definitely recommend it to any other sushi lovers.

Stayed near this place and have to say I was thoroughly impressed with value for money. For 5 – 10 $ you can have pretty much anything that sounds good to you, especially if you pick one of the combos that they have for lower prices. I went here a couple of times, and the staff was always incredibly friendly and helpful. Changing things from the standard menu wasn’t a problem(I changed some rolls), and the food was made to order(quickly as well)! Don’t expect 5 star dining, but for a satisfying meal in a clean friendly environment that won’t bleed your wallet dry, definitely check this place out.

I love this cozy sushi place. The staff is super friendly and always have recommendations on fresh dishes! The prices are really good(and combo pricing is amazing). They also have great vegetarian dishes — tofu salad and Yammy roll are super good!

Caught my eye with the«22 Rolls for $ 5.99» and decided to check it out with a less then interested friend. I ordered the Roll Combo and it was suuuuper good and beyond my expectations. Also despite having eatin earlier I would not have hesitated to order more on the spot. I regret not having found the place sooner. The waiters were really friendly and open. They helped with making choices and right when we wished we had water, it was already sitting at our table. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and the menu’s design were very clean and simple. The portions were perfect and the miso soup wasn’t too much. 10⁄10 would come again.

Let’s be real, I had low expectations. I wasn’t really hungry but my friend was, so I half-heartedly accompanied her to eat. As a graphic design student coming in, I was more happy to see the pretty menu brochure they had by the door than deciding on what to actually eat. I formed a quick assumption that the brochure might be better than the food I would be getting. I was quickly proven wrong. The servers/owners are great and super friendly. They were fast, and more than welcome to help you with anything. They make you feel comfortable and welcomed. I ordered the veggie combo, and for someone who’s not really into veggies, I think it really matters when I say that I absolutely loved it. My friend also loved her roll combo. This place changed the way I looked at typical cheap food joints. Because even though this place may look cheap, they way their food taste do not. Would definitely recommend this place, and were definitely coming again. Tl;dr Go eat there now.

Nope. Maybe I’m crazy, but sushi isn’t a valid dish if it’s from frozen fish. If you don’t believe me, go open the white freezer on the right side of the place near the restroom, you’ll see the fish in there. Servers were great. Food ranged from forgettable to quite fishy-tasting. If you’re less fussy than me, then you can definitely get a lot for your money here. All the white rice and fake crab you can stomach.

New owners are awesome! Incredible service is what keeps me coming back. I’m a regular at least once a week. They’ll remember my name, remember my order, deliver when I’m lazy to walk, suggest new things in the menu — they make it an easy casual go to. Quality, service & price all exceed what you pay for. Open later than most sushi in the city, will deliver if you live close by and more than happy to accommodate requests. Love this place! They do a great job at making you feel at home!

This place was empty on a quiet Sunday. Not much else was open, so I took a chance despite the eclectic décor. The waitress was nice and offered the WiFi password without me asking. This is the first place I’ve ever been served water in a disposable cup, as well as plastic bowl and spoon for the miso, which was complimentary so I won’t complain about it. My expectations were quite low at this point, so I guess the food quality surprised me. The presentation was not fancy, but they included some garnish and a side a spicy mayo, which was a tiny but significant addition. The rice could have been better, but the rolls were consistent and satisfying. My combo was 9.95 and worth it. I wouldn’t make a point of bringing anyone here, but if you’re in the area and want some quick, cheap sushi, it’s fairly good.

The place is small but cosy. They have very reasonable sushi combos and a variety of bubble tea flavours. The sizes are decent portions and the taste is very fresh-which is very important, in my opinion. I highly recommend this place as a choice for a light, peaceful lunch. My favourite things: the Sushi Special and the Mama combo.

Hm the façade of the restaurant is a bit questionable but the food is cheap so no complaints. I got take out and honestly, it was a lot of food for $ 5.99. I got their special that was advertised outside on a board, which included: 6pc kappa Maki, 8pc spicy crunchy roll(essentially a roll with JUST tempura bits and spicy sauce), 6pc yam tempura roll). I had a lot of meat and fish recently so I decided to eat vegan for a bit and settled on these vegetables rolls(and later on, vegetable udon for dinner haha) Anyways, the service was pretty fast and the miso soup was decent. The staff were friendly(mostly spoke in Mandarin to each other) and I was really full from the cheap combo. The only reason why I’m giving them 3 stars(rather than 2) is because of the excellent value.

I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. It’s one of my favourite sushi destinations in Downtown Vancouver. Who doesn’t like good quality sushi for cheap? I’ve ordered their Friday lunch special which comes with California Tempura sushi, Cream Puffs and Miso soup. All for only $ 4.99. Cheap price, fantastic quality also friendly service. It’s a great place to grab a quick lunch with friends. Not a huge seating area, approximately five tables. Love this place, and definitely recommend this to all sushi lovers!

Their food is so delicious and good price. Their 22 pcs with one miso soup are just 5.99 $ and it’s vegetarian. At the same time, they have Monday ~ Sunday special and actually you can get everyday special. And besides, there are other different specials on the walls and they’re always here. And those people who work here are really nice! Although the plates they use are plastic ones they don’t have washdisher, their fish and other food are really fresh, that’s the point. Every lunch time they get really busy

Absolutely LOVE this place. Okay so I was going to give it a 4 because of its«environment» as people seem to care about that but as far as I’m concerned the atmosphere is fine. It is more like a little walk in sushi deli than a restaurant but its not like they hide that. It can come across a little dingy especially because of the area but its not gross by any means and is well kept up. If your looking for a fancy feel go somewhere else. The staff is always really accommodating and nice however can get pretty busy as the place is pretty small and not many people work there. You don’t have to wait long for them though. NOW to the good stuff. The food here is really good. Probably not the best sushi in the city but Ive never had a bad experience. only delicious ones. The menu is broad and pretty decently priced however where you get the deals is if you get any of the many many specials plastered all over the walls. Last time I went I got the udon special that comes with a veggie udon your choice of roll and appetizer. My friend got a spicy BBQ salmon roll(which he LOVED) and an appetizer of some sort and a drink and we walked away having spent a total of $ 12 all together. They’re generic sushi special(22 pieces of sushi and a miso for 5.99??) is awesome because its not the same yam, california and salmon. They throw in a Spicy crunch roll which is delicious. They also have a build your own lunch and dinner special that has a large variety of choices. Ive yet to try all the different awesome specials on the walls let alone really get anything straight off the menu, which is fine with me bc if you were to do that you’d probably spend just as much as any other sushi place. I can not say enough good things about this place… matter a fact I think I’m having sushi for dinner now ;)

Good place for a sushi if you are downtown. I work around here so it is very convenient to just drop in and order a California Combo Roll. It can feed two and price is awesome, $ 13. Not a place that I would come to downtown just to eat here, but a decent place if you are around.

Their food is not terrible but not great either. I’ve been a fan of sushi since my family introduced me to it many years ago and I’m usually easily impressed but for this restaurant, I’m not entirely too fond of. First off, I would want to point out that I wasn’t expecting a fancy place from the first look at this place. Their sushi isn’t that great but not horrible. All I had was 2 servings of Negitoro Maki and a cup of tea and it costed me about $ 7 after tax, which I kind of felt like it was kinda expensive for their quality of sushi. The only reason why I would think that is because their fish just didn’t have that fresh taste to it, also I’ve been to sushi places with bigger portions for similar prices as theirs. Anyways onto the point, out of all the sushi places I’ve been too, this would be close to the bottom part of my sushi list. The reasons was: 1) because their place wasn’t dirty but it just doesn’t feel clean either. 2) Also it felt cheap but not in a good way. Their plates and utensils were of the poor qualities. The plates & cups they were using was created out of foam and their chopsticks was also the cheap wooden ones that comes with in packages. 3) The Freshness of the ingredient, particularly the fish, was not really good. Not terrible but certainly not great. So, with the conditions of the restaurant currently was in last time I was there, I do not recommend going there if you expect going to a sushi place that you can get a bang for your buck.
