Not only do we love this place, our dogs do too! The staff is always really awesome, and they’re also pet-friendly! They have treats behind the counter, so my dogs are always really happy to go there. They’ve got a pretty good selection of everything(I’m not an alcohol connoisseur so unfortunately I won’t be of too much help in that respect).

This place epitomizes the Granville Grit. The booze is either locked in a cabinet or stored behind the counter; the wines are. .. shall we say, nowhere near distinguished? This is a dive liquor store, with a very limited selection and an ambience that suggests that everyone who walks in is a thief. Maybe they are, I don’t know. But if you’re looking for a place to feel like a respectable human being buying a decent bottle of something decent. .. well, you can come here and feel humbled. Let’s put it this way — don’t come here looking for two brands of maraschino liqueur.

Tried to exchange a corked bottle of wine about one hour after it was purchased. They refused. We brought back the full bottle and the broken up cork. Will never go back. It’s in a super sketchy area. Overpriced Terrible

Woohoo! A liquor store near my house that sells individual cans/bottles, has a large selection and is not charging OUTRAGEOUS prices(Legacy, I’m looking at you) for it. I also, much like Marquis, did not get attacked or harassed when being ID’d.(Legacy, I’m looking at you) It’s a little disorganized, perhaps… but I’m no pro in how beer should be organized, so maybe it isn’t. Will be back 100 times.

More pricey then the Govt liq. store as others have Mentioned, but it’s open late(yes Til 11 on Sunday !) The cider is cold, and you can buy single cans. Staff is ok, location on Granville Is a bit more south then central, (drake is closest cross street) but not too bad. As far as sketchy people — I encounter more of those in and outside of 7 – 11

The cold beer & wine is conveniently located across from the 7 – 11 on Granville. I think to make the clients feel welcome, the interior looks like a drunk tank at the local jail — everything is under lock and key. However, if you’re walking in here at night and buying a smallish-bottle of booze — is there any legitimate reason other than you’re trying to get smashed off a mickey? $ 16.80 for a 375ml of Smirnoff — as expected, a bit more expensive than a government-run early-closing liquor store — but completely reasonable. Remember your brown bag or go to 7 – 11 and change your booze container.

Looks can be deceiving! To say this place is a little rough around the edges is an understatement. I think it would be a downright shit-show late on a Friday night. Heck, they were tossing a thief out on the street the other night and it was only a Thursday at five. Yikes. I think the wine prices are really good here. Not much of a difference with the Govt stores. Plus the guys running it are a pretty decent chaps. Just don’t be an idiot in there. They know how to handle disrespect. Trust me. Plus they have video cameras everywhere and have really accurate memories of said previous idiots. How’s that saying go… Fool em once then you lucky, but fool em twice they kick your ass. Something like that.

This isn’t my favourite place to visit with in need of libations but I tend to default here regularly given mainly to its super convenient location. Located on Granville Street, this place is generally quite busy. The area’s a bit rough and because it’s not a government liquor store, the prices are a bit higher here than they might be elsewhere. This being said, the difference in beer cost is only marginally higher, however the difference in spirits such as vodka, gin and other things of the like may be $ 5 or higher. The selection isn’t that varied and most of the spirits are tucked away behind glass(making it a bit of an inconvenience to obtain if both of the sales clerks on duty are occupied) but, again, it’s conveniently located(in a dodgy area).
