Staff are extremely rude. I will never return to his place. I would rather go to 711 the food and coffee there is much better. Some one needs to train the staff how to be pleasant or replace them with monkeys at lest I would have had better service

This Sciué café is one of the more convenient cafes for me to grab a quick coffee at, as it is really close to my office. The interior décor is modern & hip, yet refreshingly calming — perfect for a dine-in lunch meeting, or coffee chat. For breakfast I usually get the panino sunny side up — sunny side up egg, pancetta, & provolone stuffed inside a panini bun. Unfortunately, depending on the person who heats it up for you, it can come out either lukewarm(underheated) or burnt(overheated). When it’s heated just right though, it does taste quite good. I’ve also had a couple of their breakfast pizzas before — these pre-cut slices are topped with different combinations of ingredients such as egg & various kinds of meat. Taste is generally good across the board, but a tad salty if you get the meat ones. From their lunch menu, I love the smoked salmon pizza! Their lunch pizzas get sold according to weight, so you basically just tell them how big of a chunk you want and they will cut & weigh it out for you. I’ve also had some of their soup and lasagna before, but those were rather forgettable. Not bad, but not great either. As for coffee, I’ve tried their latte & green tea latte before. The latte was strong. The green tea latte was alright. Service is quite hit-or-miss here. I’ll be back again though, just cuz the location is very convenient for me, and the food is pretty good!

I met up with my girlfriend for a quick breakfast this morning at Scuie and I recommended it because it’s always a safe option and the people here are so friendly. I got the breakfast pizza($ 5.50) and they heated it up in the oven first. It came on a rustic mini pizza peel and I enjoyed it. There was a nice crust, and the flavours were mild and nothing too overpowering. The thin prosciutto gave just a touch of saltiness and I always love egg in any form so I was happy. The only thing I would change is that I wish the egg was a little more runny. It wasn’t actually at all, in fact it was quite firm and didn’t drip, but at least it wasn’t dry. Always a good stop for a quick coffee and/or breakfast, and they serve some affordable pasta dishes for lunch. Oh and they also service alcohol too in the afternoon! Now THATS my kind of café!

So I recently purchased a sandwich and a bag of medium roast coffee. I paid and didn’t leave a tip as I was taking the sandwich to go. The man at the counter seemed very upset and offended that I didn’t tip so he took my sandwich put it in the sandwich press and then walked away. I waited for 15 min with this person walking by 2 or three times giving me attitude, it was cooking so long that one of the other staff members asked who’s is this? Her replied its his over there, the other staff member said we can’t serve this but he said no give it to him like that. It was black and impossible to eat and I am offended that I the customer was punished for not giving a tip on essentially a bag of coffee and a to go sandwich. He provided no service to warrant a tip so why was my meal wrecked because of his greed.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed yet — I’ve been getting my coffee here almost daily for 2 years! The fact that I’ve been coming here for 2 years should be a good indication of how awesome I think this café is. Yeah, it’s conveniently located right under my office, but I would come here regardless. Normally, I just have a standard drip coffee, nothing exciting, but it’s what I need to start my day. Occasionally, I’ll indulge in a breakfast pizza, which you can tell from the fact that is pizza for breakfast that it is obviously awesome. But honestly, the reason I love coming here is the staff. My boring drip coffee is always served with a friendly greeting and smile. Seriously, everyone that works here is rad. They are the reason I come back!

I’ve really only come here for coffee before. They make Chai lattes with almond milk(yes, I’m one of those) and the staff are always wonderful and friendly. I had their pizza for the first tie today and I really, really, REALLY love it. They heat it in an oven, not a microwave, everything is served right in front of you and cut apart, served on wood if you dine in. I will becoming back for the breakfast pizza soon!

I decided to grab lunch from the Sciue closest to my office. I settled on the Taormina paninoteca after looking at the menu online. The sandwich/paninoteca consisted of prosciutto crudo, sliced mushrooms, avocado and bocconcini. Cost was $ 8. Was it worth it? Hmm I’d have to say no. The avocado was brown and there wasn’t much of it. And there was a whole clove of garlic just nestled in there. Yuck! Probably would have been better had it been made to order. It wasn’t a bad sandwich but I don’t think I’ll have it again.

I’ve been here twice for pizza and it was good. Quite good actually. Has a very home-made kinda feel to it. However I have to say it is darn expensive. The service was really good the first time and the second time was just so so.

Food is pretty good but poor service and miserable staff make eating there a chore. A friend and I went for coffee Oct30 at about 330 pm. Male staff member working the counter alternated between ignoring us, treating us as an inconvenience and just being rude. I would recommend manger manger across the street(or gouging your eyes out with hot pokers) for a more enjoyable experience.

Not a bad Americano. That’s what I ordered. The interior space is quite nice. Very modern. Standard DT lunch spot, with pre-prepared food to go. Nuked when you order it, such as lasagne. They also have single serving pizza. I didn’t look too closely at it, so I can’t really comment much more than that. Sandwiches looked good. Likely grilled for you if you want it that way. Good amount of seating inside and a covered patio. It appears that this place is run by real Italians, as it wasn’t English that they were speaking to each other.
