Not impressed overall. Service was a little too laid back and slow. After seating, it took about 10 minutes to have our order taken. The table we were seated at was very shaky, causing water to be spilled onto my lap. After moving tables, the food arrived. We ordered the Edison and special chorizo omelette. Both were a little cold, and could not hold their filling well. The texture of the egg was not fluffy or light. The hash browns were also cold and slightly burnt. There was no bread choice or choice of spreads. The jam was served in a paper cup, which was strange. I would probably not come here again, as Paul’s has failed to live up to their«best omelette» reputation.

Sure everyone knows this is a good place. The breakfast is good and so is the service. Unfortunately, I’ve been here twice over the past few months and both times my poached eggs were hard. Holy crap, if you can’t cook an egg you shouldn’t be in the kitchen. It’s so simple to check that. The last time it happened, which was today the waitress didn’t even come by to ask how everything was until I was done. When she finally did she asked me how it was and as I was about to tell her she turned her head and walked away. I caught her and said, why would you ask if you didn’t care? That’s what this place needs… A little more care and a little less of «we’re wonderful». PS, they bought my coffee without apologies.

I was with a few people and decided to try out this place on a Sunday morning slightly before 10am. When we walked in, we got seated immediately. Our server greeted us and was very polite and she was efficient. The menu has a variety of options. I got the Florentine Omelette(~$ 10) with a grilled cheese sandwich(~$ 5.25) alongside the bottomless coffee(~$ 2.75). The wait wasn’t too long for the food to come out but when it did, I expected the food to be plated better. I took a bite into the omelette and it was good, but not great. They definitely did not put enough mushrooms nor cheese in that omelette and it was bit dry. However, the grilled cheese tasted good. The atmosphere was pleasant and their Jamaican 911 hot sauce kicked butt!

After starting on a recent health kick, my girlfriend and I find ourselves cooking a lot of omelettes. Seriously. A lot of them. What comes up when you type ‘omelette’ into google maps in Vancouver? You get 3 iHops and Paul’s omlettery. Fortuntaley for everyone, Paul’s is basically exactly what we’re looking for. They have a great selection and of the 3 or 4 varieties of omelette I’ve had so far they’ve all been delicious. There tends to be a line on the weekends but they turn over quickly and if you leave your name it’s a nice area filled with galleries to walk around and peruse. 4 stars because 50 bucks for some eggs and salad is a lot even in Vancouver(IMHO).

Cute breakfast/brunch place near Granville Island. I opted for a chorizo/spinach/mushroom omelette with potatoes. Very tasty and filling, and not greasy or heavy, which is hard to come by nowadays. Prices are fair and service is pretty prompt. A lot of construction going on adjacent to the building though.

Very good service, omelettes were a great size and absolutely delicious. The cinnamon bun was also very good. Easy to find parking nearby, which is a plus.

Their food is ok but I don’t see what all the fuss is about with this place. I’ve had way better brunches for alot cheaper. Service was good, nice environment but I won’t be going back or recommending it.

Awesome place. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was great. Quick service and smiling faces — not much more I could ask for in a brunch. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

The best brunch I had in Vancouver. The place is really nice and calm. Above all, the food is amazing. We had to wait for a while to get a table but it was worth it. We ordered the omelette, pancakes and breakfast bagel. The omelette is the best one I ever had. They make like a thin layer and fold it like a crêpe which makes it very tasty. The Breakfast bagel and the pancakes were really tasty as well. The service was very thoughtful and never left our cups of coffee get empty. I am certainly going to become a regular client.

This is my favourite breakfast space in Vancouver. The food is not only delicious — it’s not super greasy and heavy. Its just perfect The price is more than affordable The staff make you feel like its home And there is usually a line but it goes by quick because the service here is very efficient. If you want to beat the rush just get there before 10 and you’re all good. I highly recommend this place.

A while back I came to Paul’s with a few friends and we decided to do a mystery dish where we each chose a dish for another person. At the end we’d have to guess which dish we got from the menu. The server was very accommodating and filled our coffees and teas regularly despite this place being packed. There was a huge line up and was glad one of our friends came super early to grab us a table. In conclusion, we ordered: –Spanish Omelette(4/5-$ 9.75): This omelette had tomatoes, onions, red peppers, salsa and 3 types of cheeses(edam, cheddar and cream cheese). Super delicious. The egg was not dry and the cheese blended in well with the veggies. Omelettes comes with a few slices of toast, jam, orange slices and some hash browns. –Da Vinci Omelette(4/5-$ 10.25): This one had chorizo, mushroom, tomatoes, spinach and feta. Due to the mushrooms, it was more wet compared to the spanish but kick of spice from the chorizo tasted so good with creaminess of the feta. Honestly, both omelettes were equally good. –Traditional Eggs Benedict(4÷5− $ 9.50 Large): You have the option of ordering half a Benedict, but who can have just one? Typical benedict done well. The egg yolk was running and the cheese sauce on top was creamy and delicious. This came with a side of hashbrowns. I’d definitely go back again if I’m in the area or feeling for some breakfast at odd hours. They have a pretty extensive menu.

We were driving along Granville when I randomly noticed this place and decided to come in for brunch. They were quite busy so we had to wait for a bit. The place itself was nice and homey. I loved the atmosphere and the service was good. I didn’t know this place exist but I’m glad that we found this gem and enjoyed our meals! I ordered for Eggs Benedict and it was delicious and comforting! It was plated nicely and I love how they incorporate fruits as garnish. Coffee was good too! I’d say food was 3.5 and I definitely consider coming back!

I found a best breakfast place in Vancouver!!! First I really like their interior. Very friendly waitresses, nice atmosphere, good customer services and delicious foods!!! Why I could’t find this place while I have been living in Vancouver for almost 2 years! They have a lots of variety for breakfast and lunch. So I’m sure that you can find something you like or even you can’t decide which one you want because too many options! Lol

Paul’s feels like a pretty basic breakfast spot — nothing too novel nor out of the ordinary, but still, the lines can be out the door! Waiting space inside is very small so bring umbrellas if its raining out! Anyways, nothing really jumped out at me upon perusing the menu, so I ended up ordering a Blackstone omelette upon our waitress’ recommendation. It was so-so — pretty flat, unsubstantial, and I couldn’t help but think I could have easily made it at home. My friend seemed to like her dish, though she left a good portion of it uneaten — I got to try some of her pan fries though, which I was curious about per the Unilocal reviews I had read. I thought they were ok. Anyways, all in all, nothing was bad, but nothing was stellar. Maybe I need to try a more substantial omelette next time to feel like it’d be worth another wait and visit.

I love this spot for brunch. There’s usually a lineup on weekends if you go around 11am but it’s so worth the wait! And the hot sauce they have there is so addicting that I purchased a bottle. I would highly recommend this place for brunch, their food is amazing from their eggs to their soups and sandwiches.

we got there around 1pm for brunch and waited around 30 mins. I got eggs benedict and hubby got pancake. both were good! i mean i have had better eggs benedict and better pancake, but it was good. service was not so friendly nor attentive though. host(or the owner?!) and hostess were nice. but our server never said hello, he just took our order and never came back.

I know people come here for their omelettes, but it’s their French fries that I LOVE the most. I always get their lite breakfast, substitute the pan fries for French fries. Bill comes up to $ 7ish. Lately I’ve been liking their pancakes too. I come here at 7am after my night shifts and even then, there can be almost half the tables filled. I wouldn’t line up for this place though. There are always line ups out the door on weekends.

Firstly, I like it when a place has a little bit of a line-up outside. In a city, like Vancouver, were people have so much choice when it comes to food, seeing people willing to wait 20 — 25 minutes to be seated in a particular restaurant says something about the quality of the experience you are about to have. Secondly, I love trying a new place that when I’m done I know I’m definitely coming back in the near future. This place met both of these check marks. Food was great, atmosphere was great. Waiter was a bit grumpy, might have been because the place was so busy — so I’m going to be very forgiving. If you’re looking for a great brunch — you gotta go here!

Last time I was in Vancouver, I saw this place on Unilocal, and thought — gosh — I have to bookmark it. A place that specializes in omelettes. That sounds incredible. I finally went last time I was in Vancouver, and… ya know, I wish it had impressed me more. I went first thing in the morning on a holiday — so I didn’t have a wait at all. Ordered an omelette, and it was decent — not the best dang omelette in the world, but certainly decent enough. Toast was fine, the price was reasonable, and I was sent on my merry way. I think what knocks this down from a 4-star to a 3-star location was the host on duty — who was gruff to the point where it felt like I was an imposition rather than a guest. I’m not sure if I’m reading too much into it, or if he was having a bad day… it could be any number of things. But ultimately, he didn’t say much to me — and while not specifically rude, he was almost seemed just a little short with me. 3 stars is an a-ok rating, and that’s appropriate here. I’ll definitely give them the benefit of the doubt, but I think my expectations were far more than what I ultimately ended up with.

Paul’s Omelettery is a family friendly restaurant that serves a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes. It does get quite busy during the weekends so just be prepared during the prime brunch times. I’ve visited here several times and it was their omelettes that brought me back every time. I recommend the 1306, filled with shiitake, oyster & button mushrooms, cheddar, edam & cream cheese. I appreciated the egg to filling ratio, the overall omelette was very wholesome, every bite was delicious cheesiness. Additionally, Paul’s is the only place I’ve visited locally where they wrap the egg around the fillings like a crêpe. I decided to switch it up one day and ordered one of their specialty dishes, the Zimmer, which was avocado, sautéed mushrooms, cream cheese, two poached eggs on toasted rye bread topped with their«cheese sauce» and alfalfa sprouts. Considering how it’s the first dish listed under their specialties and previous Unilocalers have praised about the Zimmer, I had high hopes since I already knew how tasty the usual omelettes were. Unfortunately the Zimmer was bland and pretty disappointing — the execution was poor although the description sounded like a harmony of flavours. It was too dry, the toast was cold and tasted stale, there were a few strings of cream cheese unevenly distributed seeing that it looked like it was squeezed out of a tiny tube. I liked each component on its own but the Zimmer didn’t work for me this time cause the bread wasn’t good. Although I’m not that big of a fan as I thought I was, at least the prices at Paul’s are more reasonable than most diners, and they do have solid omelettes.
