This place is awesome!!! They have breakfast, lunch, dinner, AND Chinese dishes. And the food is really reasonable. We got eggs benedict and club sandwich. Both were really good. The portion is pretty big. They serve breakfast at lunch time. Nice place!

Their blueberry pancakes were good but everything else was just ok. It is a cheap breakfast though so that’s a plus

Really cute little place in Kits. Love the fact that you can get pan fried potatoes with breakfast. Some really affordable options — their breaky special(3 pc mt, pan fries, toast and eggs) is only $ 6.50! Very friendly and attentive staff, and family owned! Only reason they are getting a 4 is because they screwed up my order — gave me sausage instead of bacon, but they fixed it quickly. They also gave me over easy eggs when I asked for over hard, but I didn’t mention that to them — they probably would have fixed it quickly as well if I did. My partner loved the eggs benny. Over all, cute little friendly place with awesome service and decent food.

The feeling of having grandparents cook you breakfast early in the morning, this is what it feels like. Homemade, simple and just a warm fuzzy feeling. Good and simple breakfast and not greasy.

This place couldn’t have fit us any better. I ride a motorcycle back home and when we walked in I knew we fit in. It’s a weird place, at least according to us: breakfast and Chinese food. Whatev, let’s sit down and chow. We were here for breakfast and it was great. There was a party there who had just ran a marathon and they were all happily eating huge awesome portions of food. I got the pancakes and yep, no way I could fit those all in. The husband got some platter(it’s been awhile) and he was just so very happy. Everything cooked great. Service was amazing. We were old timers by the time 10 minutes had passed and welcomed into the family pretty much when our beverages arrived. A great spot to check out.

I’ve been meaning to write a review about this place for weeks but it kept slipping my mind. My boyfriend and I were having our last breakfast here for our vacation. Service was very friendly, we probably talked to the server for about 10 minutes. They have breakfast, lunch and Chinese food !! Only had breakfast but it was so good ! Really great combos too, you get a ton of food . One thing about this café is the story behide it. The daughter of the owner passed away and they had a beautiful wall dedicated to her. Very sad story the server told me. Try this place out ! I’ll be back here next month for my new Vancouver visit and I’ll be sure to try there lunch and chinese food.

Four of us came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. There was lots of street parking available(metered). It wasn’t very busy so we were seated right away. Coffees & the menus came, there were lots of choices! The meals were served quickly. The French Toast was great. The pancake combo included 2 large fluffy blueberry pancakes, 2 strips bacon and 2 really good sausages. The vegetarian omelette was large and included pan fries & toast. We were offered lots of coffee refills. The bill before tip was under $ 45. It isn’t a fancy place but we had a great«home cooked» breakfast with generous portions and friendly service. We’ll be back!

I got the regular breakfast of sausages, poached eggs and pan fried potatoes. The sausages taste rubbery, the eggs are way over-cooked — I wanted them to be yolky, and the potatoes are bland. I won’t be going back, just disappointing. I could hardly eat more than a few bites it was so unappetizing.

Who goes for brunch expecting a large bill and a small meal? No one. My brother found this place looking for a quick brunch fix. The reviews looked promising and so we swung by. Only street parking around the area but that hasn’t proven to be a problem. Was not expecting much as the storefront isn’t flashy but we were greeted nicely upon entering. Food portions are BIG and delicious! Everything is homecooked and the menu seems like it goes on forever. The All Day Breakfast menu is what has got me hooked onto this place. The omlettes have to have at least 3+ eggs in them and are filled with your choice of veggies and tasty goodness. Omlettes come with toast and pan fries(amazingly delectable fried chunks of potato). My party also ordered the Paddler’s combo as well as the Waffle combo and were presented with each of their eggs, bacon, sausages, pan fries on one plate and waffle/and 4 slices french toast on another. Food was fantastic, zero complaints. Coffee is bottomless, service is flawless, reasonable prices, and lots of different options. I’m sold. Along with being a breakfast joint, they serve sandwich and soup lunch options as well as ¾ of a Chinese resturaunt’s menu which is pretty wonderful if you ask me. Will definitely be back to try some of the Chinese options!

How about calling it Blue Swan Flying Moon? Maybe not. What ever the name, I’d have to say this is my favourite breakfast grotto. An all day breakfast café with a hidden secret. They serve Chinese food too! I started coming to this place after my runs. Burn 1000 calories running 12 km and then waste all the effort at breakfast. And boy is it worth it. I love the banana pancakes but my regular meal is usually the Paddler’s even though I don’t do any paddling. There’s a menu combo for dragon boaters and riders but what about us runners? I know they’re just names but we need some love and recognition too! I can argue there are more runners than paddlers and riders combined in the 604! Swimmers need a plate named after them too but I’m not gonna spearhead that cause. They’re on their own. Runner’s plate please. Put 1 banana pancake, 1 banana topped waffle, 1 banana topped French toast, 2 eggs, bacon, hash, some more sliced bananas and you got yourself a deal/meal. There is enough food on the Paddler’s combo to share. It comes out on 2 plates since they don’t make plates that big. I like separation for my savory and sweet items any ways. 2 of us usually need the space of 4 people because of the size of our orders. However, I have no problems finishing it on my own and wishing I didn’t. Each and every time. Gluttony is a sin indeed. What keeps me coming to the place isn’t just the food but the service. Always top notch. My coffee cup is never empty. It’s a fantastic thing that Blue Swan Flying Moon café is quite a distance from me. I have to drive 10 km to get here to start my running route. If not, I’d frequent it often and really have a reason to run more.

I love the Blue Moon… we were back for the first time after having a child and Grandma had a high chair ready to go. My wife had a Chicken omelette which we’d never had before but it was very tasty… and I had my favourite blueberry pancake with a Salmon Omelette. A definite recommend for a great neighbourhood breakfast spot for us but an extensive comfort food menu.

Brilliant! Every Sunday(Almost) a bunch of us head over the the Flying Swan for brunch after an intense Outrigger Canoe training session. Harrison knows our names and what we like to order. It’s great to be able to walk into a place and get greeted by name, and asked«The usual today?» I’m a bit of a picky eater, and they were quite accommodating making substitutions and whatnot. I always get the Farmer’s Scramble and about 20 cups of coffee. Perfect! I don’t know how good any of their other food is, it’s a bit of an eclectic menu. Definitely one of the best scramble’s I’ve had… nothing fancy, but plenty of food for a good price and great service!

I have to admit that truthfully I haven’t been here in awhile. Having moved to the other side by the airport, I have negelcted to come by and say hi to familiar faces. It was hard for me to come after the accident all those years ago. I can attest that the place is great and the memories even better. Dani B does a good write up of this legendary breakfast diner. My kids loved the wonton soup and Chinese food, while we would all come here for their awesome breakfasts. So this means, I’m going to have to come by soon and say hello. And I know that the review that I will write will be a grand YES. I will always be a fan!

This may be my favorite breakfast place in Vancouver. All day breakfast(also all day Chinese food, if that’s what you’re feeling like). They’ve got a very creative menu. My favorite is the Chorizo, it’s an eggs-and-sausage hash. Or try the Paddler’s Breakfast — it’s so big it comes on two plates. The food is good and the service is excellent, but the couple who own the Flying Swan/Blue Moon and cook all the food give it its character. They’ve got their story on the front of the menu, it’s worth a read. And it will explain the motorcycle theme.

This place has many names, one is Blue Moon café, but I know it as Flying Swan Motorcycle café. If you are looking for a great place for breakfast/brunch, this no-frills café will serve it up right. The previous owner unfortunately died and her family now owns the place. She was a big motorcycle fan and a memorial to her and motorcycles can be seen in the modestly decorated café. The owners are the nicest people I’ve ever met, and they serve some hearty and delicious dishes. They have a full breakfast menu as well as a menu full of Asian flavor, but the locals usually go for breakfast. Even though the place is small, they can accomidate big tables if you want to bring your friends along. This place is cheap, good, and a great place hang out with some friends. The ambiance is laid back and it’s the perfect place for a hungover meal, even though the food is good for any occasion.
