Very popular pizza Café for years on Main St and 14. They have very good service and always friendly workers. Two slices and pop for $ 4.85 good deal. I’ve been coming here for years. Outside sitting and inside.

Papa’s was always our number one go to place for pizza, greek salad and pasta. We ordered every Friday night for the past 5 years. Our kids love their pizza and«Papa Sid» always treated our kids with a Greek pastry as part of our weekly order. Sid and his wife Helen recently sold their business. We were sad but they ensured us the new owners will be great. The fry machine and poutine were gone within a few weeks. Sid made the best homemade poutine. Same with the whole wheat pizza crust. Gone. It seems whenever we call to order take out they are always out of something. How does a restaurant have no wings on a Saturday night? No tomatoes for their Greek salad? Their till hasn’t been working for a few weeks. You go in and they add up everything on a calculator. It’s so disorganized. We will not return. Pizza Garden is opening up across the street. Papa’s needs to step it up and get their act together.

I love their breakfast pizza! I think they only serve it on Saturday mornings. Totally worth a try! Not a fancy place but it’s good for a cheap slice on main st.

Best pizza we’ve tasted in decades! The crust was perfectly baked, tender, but crisp around the edges. No throw-away crusts here. We ate every bite! The ingredients are very fresh and of the best quality. Hubby who grows his own veg says it’s like straight from the garden. We are meat lovers but when we had the vegetarian pie with feta cheese on top, we didn’t miss the meat. And it’s not expensive at all. Our niece also recommends the lasagna. We’ll have to try that next time. The lady who served us was very friendly. A Vancouver gem!

Good place for a freshly made greek salad and yummy lasagna. Prices are reasonable too, only $ 5 each. I haven’t tried the pizza or poutine yet, but I plan to return when I’m in the mood for that. Nice hardworking folks. Old school feel with attention to quality. The place was constantly busy with lots of regulars ordering pies.

Great pizza and amazing beef lasagna, super kind people as well, definitively one of the few real mom and pop restaurants left on Main.

I wanted a quick bite passing through Main Street and found this place on Unilocal. The pictures of cheesy goodness spoke to me and I couldn’t resist. I dropped by and ordered the small lasagna with garlic bread for $ 5, can’t go wrong there. Waited about 10 mins for it to warm in the oven, so I read the Metro to pass time. I enjoyed it piping hot and I would definitely return to try the pizza.

I’ve been coming here for 16 years, and I can honestly say that Papa’s Pizza has the best by-the-slice pizza I’ve ever had. And I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in a lot of places.

I ordered the papa’s special for take out. The crust just wasn’t crisp enough on the bottom so the pizza was very sloppy. Also it just didn’t have a lot of flavour. The service is really nice though. I think it’ll be awhile before I go back with so many other options in the area

When I’m in the mood for pizza and really cant afford to splurge on a whole pie I’m always happy to head down to papas. As far as cheap pizza by the slice goes it is a lot better than any other place. Last night i had 2 slices of veggie and my daughter had ham and pineapple, they both looked like they had been sitting for a while but it was the toppings i was in the mood for. ANYWAYS, I was awakened this morning with the urgent sensation to «relieve my body of its contents» my daughters diaper was also an unusually horrific mess. It was the only thing that we both ate the same of that day so i know the pizza was the culprit. I understand not wanting to throw out food but if its been sitting there for long enough to make your customers sick… GETRIDOFIT. Sadly it was the big boss Papa himself working the till and who sold us the fateful slices… Its good if you get it made to order but its just not acceptable to be selling food to people, at any price thats going to make them ill

LOVELOVELOVE! This’s my go to place for pizza. Was hooked on it the first time trying their spinach pizza with my friend. Ahhhh so good! It’s not greasy, crusts are thin and toppings are JUSTMADETOPERFECTION. Have been back there countless times, the owners are awesome ppl who always has a smile on their faces. After a while of stuffing my face with spinach pizzas at this place I decided to reluctantly venture out to try their other unique selections. And now without a doubt I always go for the vegetarian pizza. It’s a perfect blend of sweet onions and pineapples with salty cheese and other yummy toppings… makes my mouth water just typing this review. Now, the fact that I’m vegetarian doesn’t make this review any less well-rounded for those of you who’re meat-lovers. My friend who I always go with to grab a bite simply raves about the lamb and potato pizza and anything else, really, that’s on the menu. Prices are darn reasonable for $ 1.75 a slice. Or around $ 11 for a small pizza. Which I actually highly recommend to do: get the fresh one from the oven, you just can’t beat a hot and fresh one off the fire! Don’t you dare miss out papa pizza!

Great pizza! Hilarious friendly customer service. The eggplant pizza is unlike anything I’ve ever had. Great and homemade. Healthy as far as pizza goes!

Papa’s pizza is such a cute little place. Such a good spot to get a quick lunch to go. The food is cheap and tasty. I like there pizza slices and the macaroni&cheese(just 5 dollar). Its not the nicest place to eat In… but who cares! I really like having papa’s around. The blonde lady, who is working there, is such a lovely person!

Huge fan of the Pizza here! I love how they constantly rotate their special pizza. Making winners like roasted lemon potato and lamb. Would be 5 stars if they stopped making their spinach feta on whole wheat, and if papa was less of a grouch. Mama is great, and all the part timers are friendly and nice.

The pizza here is so good I’d probably make out with Steve Buscemi if I had to in order to get my hands on a slice. It’s that good, I’m not even kidding. Only thing that is a bummer is that the lack of delivery forces me to abort the fetal position & drag my ass seven blocks while hungover but it is worth every pitiful step every shameful time I pick up. Swear to jeezus.

Great pizza(poutine is good too), great prices. Friendly owners/staff that clearly want you to enjoy the food — pretty sure they are greek, reminds me totally of my yiayia(grandma) serving me food and telling me to «eat eat!!». The only negative is they don’t deliver. I think the best compliment I can give is the fact that I live downtown, near granville and surrounded by pizza places… and i STILL make my way to Main &14th when I crave a slice.

There’s not a lot of places left where you can get a semi-healthy, delicious and filling meal in exchange for a 5 dollar bill. This is one of them. I absolutely love this place. The staff seems to be exclusively made up of middle aged women who serve you slices of scrumptious pizza that tastes like it was made with love from home. As they hand you the slice, you see the twinkle in their eye that says«eat, eat, you’re so skinny!» You might find anything from a veggie deluxe to a meat lover’s sitting in their heated merri-go-round O’ pizza and they’re all the same price per slice! What a novel idea! I’ve been eating the sub-par pizza at the famous downtown corner of Pender and Seymour for years. Mainly due to budgetary reasons. Let me tell you, it pales in comparison to this pizza. The slices are a little smaller but the quality of each bite makes it so you don’t care. At the end of the day, Vancouver really sucks when it comes to cheap pizza by the slice. At least Papa’s is making an effort to deliver cheap, flavourful, lovingly-made pizza on the go. Something I, for one, really appreciate.

There are a number of ‘better than fresh-slice” pizzeria’s around. Papa’s is just another one of those. What makes them different? Nothing, as far as I can tell. It’s quick, easy and they have goodish hot sauce.
