This place is the worst. Went before an event– early enough yet our order was screwed up by the super rookie waiter who was working alone way too earlythe n he called the terrible woman manager who Was so fake and phony we wanted to call her out right there. Her solution to the fact that we were late our food was completely mistimed and our drinks Mia– was to comp us a crappy dessert we neither ordered, wanted or ate. Terreibke terrible management. The meals that were wrong should have been comped. Actually the whole disaster should have been. Stay away from this awful place!

Terrible service. The place is empty for a Saturday night and I can tell why. As I write this I can see all three waitresses seating around in a group having a grand old time. Meanwhile, I’m waiting for service.

Shittiest service ever! Went before the nutcracker ballet and they got the order wrong, gave input on a wine we asked about but it was nothing like described so basically he bullshitted. Gave no cutlery, took forever to get desserts for the kids, list goes on. Came back after while we waited for our ride. Totally dead and took 15 mins just to take our drink order!

Just dont waste your money… sub par food with vancouver prices. Drinks are incredibly weak. Service was okay at least. Atmosphere is laid back.

During an event this place is very busy, but I doubt this place gets much business otherwise. Not one of the better Moxi’s around, I think it is a very old one. Service was okay but spotty. They seem to have a lot of waitresses buzzing around but they kind of just walk right past you. Prices are crazy here too for what you get. Lots of very good places to eat in Vancouver, no need to stop here.

Went with a group of 12 friends after the Whitecaps game tonight. Waited an hour for our food to come in a group room by the kitchen that was hot due to a malfunctioning ceiling fan. The food was fine but everyone’s dishes came out at different times. Manager informed us that they were short-staff. Offered to cover the cost of everyone’s meals and apologized profusely. That went a long way in lifting everyone’s sagging spirits!

We sat at the bar lounge. But we waited a while to be greeted and seated and there were only 2 people there. One sitting at the bar and one in the lounge. We only had drinks and appetizers. Calamari & chicken wings are OK. The portions are too small. I had the sangria and it was good! The best sangria I’ve ever had so far. The service was too slow. The bartender is not friendly.

Lucky to get one star from me. Waited a 1 ½ hr and still never ended up with any food before we went to a Joe Bonamassa concert May 11. Totally no excuse for this kind of service. Save your«time» and go somewhere else.

I had a horrible experience at Moxie’s on Georgia before an event. Had to wait an hour for a table. Food took forever to arrive and when it did, the Enchiladas were soggy. Very disappointing. Its also ridiculous that they don’t take reservations on event nights when they’re needed the most! Someone asked me to provide details, so here it is: It was Saturday, March 7, 2015 when we stopped into Moxie’s 2 hours before the Bob Segar concert. We were abruptly ushered to the back of a line where approx. 30 long-faced people were standing waiting to get in and also hoping they wouldn’t be late for the concert. We noticed several empty tables both in the restaurant and the bar. There were also empty tables in the back room. We sat ourselves at a table in the bar and 20 minutes later, were asked to vacate those seats and ushered to the back of the line once again, making our already long wait even longer. Humiliating not to mention embarrassing! We wanted to leave, but the manager assured us a table wouldn’t be long. This put a damper on the entire evening and when we were finally seated 60 minutes later at a tiny table by the entrance, we could not enjoy the meal which incidentally was lukewarm and also took 40 minutes to arrive, making us late for the concert. The enchiladas were terrible(lukewarm, dry and tasteless), so we ordered something that we thought couldn’t go wrong — a Chicken Caesar that turned out to be soggy from too much dressing or sitting too long. We ended up leaving half of each of the 3 meals we ordered. A waste of money and time. This past Thursday, we did not want a repeat for the Neil Diamond concert, so we dined elsewhere without incident and had a nice evening all around. Moxie’s is chaos on event nights and not being able to make reservations when they’re most needed is ludicrous! I am so disappointed in the management and service at Moxie’s, I do not recommend it to anyone unless they’re prepared for a long wait and many disappointments.

Came in at 10:00 am on Saturday. Not a server or host to be seen. Finally a girl came out and when I asked her if we needed to wait to be seated or if seating was open. Got this totally dirty look like I had said something insulting. She then said she’d show us a table, which she did. Literally there were three other couples seated and every table in the place was filled with dirty dishes from previous customers. We got one of two remaining clean tables. The hostess looked like she’d be happier anywhere else and it showed with how slow she moved. Waiter was okay, served us quickly and props to the kitchen staff for a nice presentation and timeliness. As we ate another couple came in, wandered aimlessly because the hostess was nowhere to be found. Finally she reappeared from the back and seated them. She eventually started to clear tables, but a slug with an injury could have moved faster. Little things like burned out light bulbs, dust on the table lamps and unmotivated staff say a lot about the management. Although the food was well prepared and tasty, I’ll never set foot in this place again. There are many options out there.

Just had beer & applies here last nite(Apr 8⁄15). Service was good, food was good, beer was good. The only think that bothered me was the portion size. I rogers the Cajun Chicken w «house made chips». There was literally 7 chips on the plate, all for $ 13.00! I mentioned his to my server & he said«that’s the way they come». He musta mentioned this as well cause later they came with more chips. But… I had to mention it! Why?

We had a great experience. Friday, 1pm lunch, party of 3. Friendly service, server refilled my drink 3 times, food came in a timely manner, was pleased with the atmosphere and food. My family ordered the lobster and prawn linguine and veggie burger with fries. No complaints here.

I’ve had two bad experiences here now. 1) Came in for drinks during a non busy period. Service was painfully slow and my mojito was made wrong(water instead of carbonated water like it usually is). It also took forever to pay the bill with only 3 or 4 people in the bar area. 2) Came in for breakfast and had probably the worst experience in any restaurant in a while. Waiter must have been new because he engaged in a conversation with a table while on the way to sit us down. The two of us came and stood their awkwardly while he had a 3 minutes conversation with the table next to us, then just turned to us and told us that we are actually at the table he wanted us to sit at. Why not sit us then talk to the customer? So clueless. To make things worse the food was absolutely disgusting this day. I’ve eaten here more than a few times and so I know how the dishes are supposed to come out and taste. I ordered the sushi cones as my starter and that came out on one of those flatbrad pizza boards, laying on it… I picked it up and the underside was smudged with sauce, soggy and cold, not good at all. Then I ordered the chicken dish with the goat cheese. When that eventually came(longest wait ever) I got my chicken, except there was no goat cheese lol. I looked at the waiter and asked him about it and at this point I was visibly upset/disappointed. Instead of going back there and grabbing it right away he disappeared for what seemed like 5 minutes and came back with the goat cheese plus 4 drinks on his tray for other tables. What he should have done was run back there and grab the missing ingredient that makes this dish and not go and grab it like I asked for some side ketchup, taking his sweet time while I stared at my incomplete dish. My girlfriend then said«well, maybe they’ll take it off the bill» to which I replied«this isn’t joeys and if the service was an indication of anything then I doubt it.» And I was right. Oh and they messed up her food too. I have never felt inclined to leave less than a 15% tip but in this case I did. I still go here once in a while, it’s not bad when they get it right but even without the above experiences I wouldn’t go higher than 3 or 3.5 stars. So why do I go here? It’s close to where I live, no other reason.

I don’t usually give bad reviews, however, based on our experience at this specific location, I just had to write one. First of all, when we got there, the waitress greeted us in a friendly way and sat us to a nice table. I think decoration was really nice, and more like formal, however, that’s the only thing I can say that’s nice about this place. We waited for like 5~8 minutes before we got our menu, and the worst part was that when we ordered our food, it took them almost 30 minutes before we got our food served to us. It was ridiculous and unacceptable. The food we ordered weren’t that impressive, they were ok. It wasn’t that tasty, but rather salty. The waitress who also served one of our food has really long hair and wasn’t tied back or anything, so when she served the food and leaned forward on our table, her hair touched the food. Sigh… This will be the first and our last visit here, unfortunately.

Ouch. This place got some brutal reviews. Let’s be honest, though. This is Moxie’s. They pride themselves on good service(although this location doesn’t have the most amazing women, like most) and great food and that’s what we experienced here eating a late lunch after the Whitecaps game. I can’t imagine anyone having a different experience. Management should be smarter, however, and put a huge sign on the side of the building — a big one — to alert people there’s a Moxie’s here. You have to know this place is here to come here and you still might not be able to find it. It was no surprise the location was dead even after a sellout crowd left the stadium. Sad too. It’s a large, clean, sweet restaurant with an outdoor patio. It should be hopping. Back to the service. Ours was excellent. The girls was nice, sweet and new the menu well. She couldn’t have done her job better. And, the haddock was above average and more than worth the money, as is all the food here. However, I’ve never tried the beef dishes.

I have to say the food ALWAYS been delicious! I been there many time for a dinner and also I LOVE their MONDAYMARGARITAS! Delish strawberries-kiwi Margaritas, as they let you(for free) mixing two flavor between: Strawberries, mango, Kiwi, original which is great. The dining experience is Ok, the décor is nice but EARLS as more vibe. I like most of their appetizer and their nachos are HUGE. The chicken is always juicy and well cooked. And it’s close to my place and the location is very convenient, because they is a sky-train station close by for my friends. So yes I will come back but it’s only for their Monday Margaritas or before a girls nite out!

Overall, my experience with Moxies has been good. The last couple of times I came here(both on Fridays), the restaurant was pretty dead… probably because of the weather and that there were no events happening in the area. The place can definitely fit a lot of people in it though, which is good because I know it fills up when there is a concert or game happening. When I came here for a friend’s birthday on Friday, they sat us in our own private area upstairs… a great idea in theory but maybe not the best idea since there was a leak in the ceiling with a bucket under it and a caution sign on the ground right where we were… that doesn’t make for the nicest atmosphere. The food and drinks were really good though. I ordered the veggie burger with pesto and goat cheese and really enjoyed it(I’m not a vegetarian). The side salad that comes with it is nice as well. For drink, I ordered a «Double Mo 7» which is kind of a twist on a mojito with grapefruit juice. I would definitely recommend this. I know from previous visits here that they make great Bellinis too. I’m not someone who always orders dessert when I go out but Moxies has excellent desserts! My favourite is the dark chocolate cake — it’s served warm with chocolate sauce, ice cream, and chocolate bark … to die for! When I came here last time, they gave my friend the sticky toffee pudding on the house, since it was here birthday. That was awesome too… it’s a pudding cake served warm with ice cream and caramel sauce. For both desserts, I love the contrast of warm cake with cold ice cream. I like that you can order mini versions of some desserts because sometimes all you need is a taste.

In a word, lacklustre. I went here with 5 colleagues from work after running the Race for the Cure. The décor was nice, but that was really the only thing this place had going for it. I got the Classic Pancakes add«fresh strawberries, blackberries, & real whipped cream». The presentation was good, but the flavour was lacklustre and the so-called«fresh» fruit was literally still frozen. The waitress forgot the whipped cream. $ 13 but worth maybe $ 5. Was about IHOP quality. The service was lacklustre: We were there for about an hour and saw her 4 times, 3 of which we had to ask for her(we actually asked 4 times, but one of them she never came). Drinks were never refilled(we had to go to the bar).

I came here last year during Christmas for lunch and once again on Wednesday, June 5th. Both times the employees were nice and the people I came with on both occasions. Last time I had a burger with a side of salad and to be honest, the salad could have been slightly better. But this time, I ordered to chicken wings and I felt it was cooked perfectly. The prices was relatively okay for the food. The only thing I disliked was that some of the items on the menu was just too damn expensive.
