Definitely one of the best deals in Vancouver. 2 slices and a can of soda for $ 6. Can’t beat that!

The serving lady is a bit to the point, but other than that the pizza is fresh and awesome!

Thought a nice cheap pizza meal was in order. Knowing full well not gourmet. Well there was hair. A few of them. Cooked into the pizza. So after my girlfriend finished throwing up we decided to call them. They said they would redo us a new pizza. Umm no thanks. Apparently nowadays sanitary issues and dirty practices are the norm for places like this. Unacceptable to say the least. Still haven’t heard back from them on whether my money will be returned. Thanks a lot.

I had their pizza for the first time at an office function. Thin crust & lots of toppings. It could have used more sauce as it wasnt very flavorful. The dipping sauce was terrible. It must have been a low grade bulk product. Bland & left a garlic after taste in my mouth. Ive had better pizza.

Firstly, this review is for the location that took over the location near Granville Island previously owned by Creek Slice Pizza. Boy, do I miss them. I am unable to create a review for that particular location, so you get this instead. That being said, I’d probably still rate the food in general at about the same level by this point. The first time I ordered from these guys, I thought I was calling Creek Slice. I had literally just ordered there for a party a week and a half prior, so I assumed everything was business as usual. They answered the phone«…Hello?», but I knew I’d dialed the right number, so I didn’t really question it. It was pretty shady of them to just take my order and deliver something totally unexpected and completely different than what I was used to, but the pizza was somewhat decent, so I let it slide. The second time, the pizza was not good. Bland toppings(some of which were missing), tough dough, and cheese with a texture that was nearly plastic. Fine. Everyone has rough nights, and the first experience I had with them was still at least comparable to the larger chains, most of which I can’t stand anyway. Tonight was the night I decided I’m done with this place, and this is the first restaurant I’ve «quit» since I moved to Vancouver. I called and placed my order and was told it would be 40 minutes. Totally acceptable. 90 minutes later, I call and tell them I’d been waiting quite a while, and asked if my pizza would be coming soon. I did not give them my address, and I was calling from a different phone than the one I’d used before. After a lengthy pause, the man on the other end of the phone says«Oh yeah, the delivery driver was there and he said the person told him they already got their pizza.» …Uh, what??? I am able to see my front door from my apartment and no one ever came by. My buzzer is broken(which I had noted in my online order and discussed on the phone when they called to confirm the order), so they knew to call, but no one had ever called my phone. No call, no knock, no appearance, and the most poorly formulated lie in the history of food delivery — You’re telling me you show up with a pizza and the person at the door says«Oh, you already gave me one»?? Then he asked for my address and order again, which made it blatantly obvious he didn’t even know what order I was referring to, so how do you know you’ve already fake delivered it twice? Absolutely awful customer service this time around, and the food isn’t good enough to make me forgive it. Even if it was, I honestly don’t think I would. I’ve never had an experience like this with any restaurant or delivery service, and I don’t plan on giving them the chance to repeat themselves. Too bad, lots of business to be lost in this neighborhood. On the plus side, the two delivery drivers I had before that actually bothered to show up were quite polite. So they have that going for them. **Review edited to reflect other reviews I’ve posted on the site. If Darby’s deserves a 2, you guys deserve a 1 or less… I wish that was an option.

Tasty pizzas even though I didn’t get the pizza toppings that were ordered ! Bad delivery drivers. Delivery took way over an hour to arrive during a non busy weekday. Drivers try to short change and they try to take what they think they should receive for a tip on top of the delivery charge. Not only do they blatantly try to take a minimum of 28% on top of the total bill they will argue and complain for a bigger tip. When you ask for reasonable change back they vocally calculate the money back in much larger numbers compared to the actual dollar amount being given back. Difficult for me to want to order from them anymore. 9 out of the 10 times I have ordered from this location two of their drivers have acted in this exact manner. Really poor service. Bad business practices.

For buck a slice you can’t go wrong. Oh Im sorry, it’s two bucks now. Anyhow, Megabite is surprisingly good for cheap pizza. They’ve also got lots of fun varieties to choose from. I always opt for a vegetarian slice, but there was one kind with a hot dog wiener on it, and apparently is was pretty popular. Considering I tried this pizza sober and liked it, I know it’ll be even better when Im drunk.

Megabite is pretty much my go-to place for pizza when I’m hanging out on Granville Street. As others have said, it’s not the best pizza, but it’s cheap and fattening when you just need to eat something and don’t want to spend much. The inside looks a little shifty. There’s often grease and splatters of God-knows-what on the tables, not to mention the floors look filthy. Not the most comfortable or appetizing place to be eating, that’s for sure. But you don’t go for $ 2-a-slice pizza for the dining atmosphere, do you?

I have always been a valued customer of Megabite, delivery pizza and grab by the slice, until recently. I ordered a pizza on a Sunday night, not only did it come an hour and a half later than what I was told but it had a chunk of GLASS on it. I repeat, GLASSONMYPIZZA. I did not see it so I bit into it, chewed on something hard, spit it out and low and behold, glass. It cut the roof of my mouth, as well.(and yes, I have photos and the piece of glass as evidence) I immediately called this branch to report the incident and instead of receiving a caring, attentive, worried Megabite representative, I spoke to a woman, Annabelle, who laughed at me while telling me the manager was not in and she could do nothing for me. After hanging up the phone to Annabelle, she called me back 5 mins later to accuse me, saying that I never placed an order with them, that I was lying, etc. And I have the paper receipt and the online order to prove it. I have called back many times to speak to the manager and I am always told he is not in. A very unprofessional way of running a business, if you ask me. My family, friends and I will no longer be customers of Megabite as they have proven they don’t value cleanliness OR customer service.

The worse most over priced Pizza place on the strip. You would have to be drunk to appreciate this. I have had better pizza by the slice places. The dough for some reason, although cooked, tastes raw. Very rude service, however, can’t blame them since most who come in here are drunk.

Pizza is not the greatest but it’s open late… pretty busy so the pizza is fresh and it’s cheap. Good option for a quick bite /late night eat.

I would have rated this a 5 if it weren’t for the VERYRUDE service I received. I have ordered from Megabite many, many times and was a loyal customer and a big fan. I had gotten 2 thin crust pizzas when I ordered regular crust and called in for them to fix it. The pizza maker said it was because of the weather. What? I’ve heard about yeast issues in winter but not in summer. Anyhow, when I placed my order I should have been asked if thin crust was ok or not. Instead of offering a remake I was offered a small pizza in exchange. I wasn’t happy with this and wrote an email which was not answered. I called in and asked them to upgrade it to a large. They said they would do that but also wanted me to place an order for $ 15. How is this a free pizza when I am being asked to pay? Their online deal is $ 20 for 2 med pizzas with tip. They were not giving me a free pizza if the online deal is better than their store credit! I wanted a remake or a free large pizza delivered. Is that too much to ask for? Apparently it is. To top it all off I also had very rude service when the driver came. When I went to pay I let the driver know about an issue I had been having with my chip card and said I might have to try a different card if it doesn’t work. The driver refused, called the restaurant and said I had no money. I did have money and was ready to pay! I tried to explain to him and he literally walked away from me, ignored me and refused to respond to me. HOWRUDE!!! Any place that treats customers this way is not a place to order from. I will NEVEREVER order from this location EVERAGAIN. This location has lost me as a customer for life.

I love how this is probably the busiest pizza restaurants in Vancouver but only has 12 reviews. As far as pizza by the slice goes this one is pretty good. I love the toasted sesame seeds on the crust.

I LOVE Megabite. It’s a total Vancouver classic pizza place. Plus I love how there’s like three of them on the Granville strip, very tempting on my nights out. Megabite is better than its rivals, especially Uncle Fatih’s pizza. I did not care for the crust at Uncle Fatih’s at all. Megabite has the best crust in town because of the sesame seeds. Also, even though Panago has a million dips, none of them are as good as that Mega garlic sauce. I am also in love with the honey garlic wings at Megabite, they can do no wrong Plus, they offer the option of selling pizza by the slice, so that can save money because pizza can be a really expensive indulgence. They also have so many different flavors to choose from, and they are all so good! And their service is awesome, their delivery has always been excellent, and they deal really well in person with the crowds on Granville street. To top it all off, they always have awesome deals and promos on their website, and lately they are giving away things like iPads and iPhones. I am seriously hooked on this place!

Two word to describable Megabite: «Guilty pleasure» The pizza here is good and I love the sesame seeds on the crust. I usually make my own pizza at home but this pizza is good for those spur of the moment cravings when you are walking along Granville street.

Great combo’s…Can’t beat 2 medium 3 topping pizza’s with a choice of wings for about 30 bucks, I figured it would be the same old tiny handful of pineapple on a pizza but they didn’t skimp on toppings! The crust was very good, too. Wings were nothing phenomenal but atleast arrived hot and there were lots of them. Order online was very simple and easy to navigate, they were here within about 20 minutes. Will be ordering some ‘Za from Megabite next time in Van.

I’ve never ordered from here before but my son vouched for the pizza so I tried it. I registered online to make future orders easier. We ordered two large pizzas; Classic Italian and Spicy Chicken. I got an email confirming my order and then a call to follow up. The pizzas arrived within 30 minutes. They were flavourful and I really enjoyed the whole wheat crusts sprinkled with sesame seeds. They weren’t overly saucy or cheesy which is what I was in the mood for compared to a greasy thick pizza. The person on the phone and the delivery guy were both very friendly. $ 33 for two large — not sure if that’s a good deal as I rarely order pizza but it seemed decent for what we got. I’ll order from here again.

Came here for some street pizza. I can’t get enough of this stuff. The lineup was short, and the pizza was actually somewhat fresh. Mind you, I’m no food snob, so 80% of the food out there tastes fresh to me, but what do I know. Oh, and the slices are only $ 1.75. I thought it used to cost more, but with several other pizza places within a 1-block radius, competition must be tight. Cheap, fast, and no frills. Just the way I like it. Recommended.

Alright I visited this location again to follow up on my first review. The Marketing Office of Megabite reached out to me with a detailed reply a few months ago which I found very classy because it addressed my concern individually. I promised to visit the store again when I’m back in town and give another honest review. The cleanliness improved a bit, there are no more half slices of pizza or salami slices on the floor. Does that warrant a reward? Definitely not but it’s noticeable at least. I bought a slice of Peperoni Pizza again… it was barely warm. I gave it back and asked for a hot and fresh one but that would have taken another 10 minutes so I just refunded the whole thing. With the cleaning part being improved a little I would say this particular place sticks to a 2* review from my side. I gave it a second chance, they blew it again… kind of. Cheers S
