Good for when you’re in the mood for some phở and summer rolls and you’re in a rush. Came here the other night cause the weather called for some phở and it was close to the PNE. Nice size restaurant with plenty of seating for one and large parties. I had the summer rolls and the beef ball phở. The summer rolls were made with shrimp and came with a peanut dipping sauce. The phở came in a large bowl which was enough for two people. It also came with a side dish of basil, chili, lemon, and bean sprouts. There is a languages barrier so I would use your menu to point out what you wanted. Service was ok and food came out fast.

PLEASEINCREASETHEPORTIONSIZES! The food here is really good! Good flavour, good presentation, but I can’t help but feel I’m being slightly ripped off when I pay $ 13.95 for an assortment of skewers and minced pork /shrimp, and there is barely any pork /shrimp on the sticks they serve! It may look big at first, but that is because the sticks they use are very thick. If you’re going to charge $ 13.95 for that, please consider adding a little more food to the plate. Or lower the price. I’ll probably be back because the food is fresh and delicious, but please take my suggestion into consideration!

I’ve been here multiple times in the past I would say good 7 years. I have to say that their service is no different but the food quality went down. I usually come here for their lemon grass chicken on broken rice. I still recall they had broken rice last year when I came by with a bunch of friends. But my recent visit they have changed it to regular rice and the chicken wasn’t as tasty as before. The portions are the same but I was disappointed in the taste of the food. The spring rolls tasted the same as before. Nothing out of the ordinary but as compared to before they have changed. I can’t say much about their phở considering in the past year I haven’t walked in for their phở considering there are other phở places in the neighborhood. Overall, the atmosphere, environment and service is all the same. But food wise I have to say it’s a bit disappointing. Though one good thing about this place is they take card. The other few phở places around their all take cash.

The food is superb. I went here with my boyfriend and two little brother n sister. They really liked the food as well. The service wasn’t too great though.

Delicious! Everything has been great at petite Saigon. Friendly service, the best spring rolls in the city. Phở is deep in flavour, fast and cheap! Also, I think it may be one of the cleanest Vietnamese restaurants I have ever been in.

Can’t go wrong here. The girls who work here are lovely and sweet to children. Prices are good, food comes so fast, and I’ve never had a bad experience. For those bringing babies, there is no change table.

I have been here many times. Usually has been always good and very pleasant. But today everything was off. 1.) Service was minimal which I can deal with. But when the server isn’t pleasant at all grumpy or giving me attitude generally sets the pace for everything to follow. 2.) Spring rolls were luke warm and soggy/rubbery 3.) My Phở noodles were hard and clumpy which is my biggest pet peeve with a good bowl of phở. 4.) Paid the bill same ungrateful attitude from our server. I will say the owner lady that was there. Is always friendly and pleasant. She was nice upon entering and leaving.

Wow, either I went on a really good day or the quality of this place has actually been awful this whole time. Husband and I got takeout today, and while I was eating it I realized I was chewing on something weird. I spat it out and realized that it was a 4 inch long piece of plastic, like the kind that you use to tie up dirty vegetables at the market with. Disgusting! I then called them, asking for a refund and the lady answering the call suddenly did a 180. «You want us to make another one?» she kept demanding angrily. No, if I find that kind of stuff in your food I do not TRUST you to make me another one. Especially the way you’re talking to me, you’d probably spit in my food or something. After a frustrating talk she agreed to give me my money back. I dumped the rest of the noodles. Will not be back, ever. To leave that huge piece of plastic is one thing in the food, but to treat the customer so rudely afterwards? Nasty, nasty business. Do NOT visit this place.

My favourite Vietnamese restaurant hands down… Always go for the spring rolls, best in town in my humble opinion. But the salad rolls are really nice too, and the Phở is deep in flavours and healthy portion sizes. I’m not sure how one could even finish a large to themselves… Try the Chicken phở, it’s my new favourite We go at least twice a month.

Right off the bat, i have to say they deserve a 4 for the quality and taste of the phở. Some have said oily in past reviews, but if you taste you can tell its not from fat but from the use of yummy bone marrow, which heightens the flavour considerably. Lots of decent quality meat. Overall, one of the better bowls of phở in Vancouver. However, the rest of the food has its highs and lows, and the service leaves much to be desired. For example, the satay sauce is pretty chalky, yet the grilled satay meats are great. The spring rolls and filling were rubbery, but the pickled slaw for the banh mi is on point, and the banh mi is decent. The fried spring rolls are tasty but very over fried(which is not always a bad thing). So the rest of the food is sort of a crapshoot. However, the service when they are busy is hellish. It almost makes me want to give them just one star, as its absolutely frustrating being there hungry and having to ask for several needed items like spoons, condiments, tea, etc before you can actually eat, even though your food is getting cold. They only have two staff on at most and you may not get half of what you ordered, or like me, a spoon until you’ve asked 4 times, and then finally have to get a bit stern. Also, we had heard they make their own chili sauce which apparently they only had two jars of, and we had to beg for it several times only to just simply give up after 15 minutes. Avoid the rush, and the experience is so much more enjoyable and you will enjoy a tasty bowl with great broth. Also, don’t get excited about the free poky sticks at the end of the meal. They are always old and stale and clumped together. It’s not as cute as other reviewers make it seem.

I had the small #25 beef balls phở. The small seems smaller than other places and the broth didn’t quite hit the spot for me(less flavourful). They give you a fair share of beef balls and they’re not stringy like some places which is great. Great, friendly staff — unfortunately with so many other phở options in this area, I will probably not come back to this one since the phở broth didn’t full deliver for me.

I always get no. 49 with chicken instead of beef, and it’s good stuff! It comes with two spring rolls instead of the standard one that many restaurants will give you. It’s rad that they give you pocky to cap your meal, that’s quite special. The big caveat… if you dine in… they play the same song on repeat. Literally. I was there once with family enjoying a meal and the same song played for hours. Now whenever I go in there the song permeates my soul and gets stuck in my head for hours. I don’t know what language it’s in but I think I could recite all the lyrics. How the servers stand it, I do not know.

Oh how I missed this place. I used to come all the time when I lived closer, and it has been a depressingly long time since I was last able to visit. Boyfriend and I decided to run here this weekend, as we had a lunch phở craving. The signage outside may have been spruced up but the inside is exactly the same, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. The tables are quite close together, but not obtrusively so. We ordered a spring roll to share, and they come nicely cut up into pieces which are perfect for dipping in the tasty sauce. It wasn’t the most delicious spring roll I’ve ever had, but I do love the crispiness of the outside. I got a small phở tai, and barely managed to finish it! I love that they have size options here, and the sizing is very reasonable. All the regular accoutrements were delivered to our table promptly, which was great — especially the heaping mound of beansprouts! I love having enough that I can eat some right off the plate before shoving tons into my soup! There was a ton of beef piled into my phở which I took great pleasure in peeling apart to eat. The noodles are resistant and firm, and the side sauces really take it over the top. I love the flavour of the broth here — it’s rich and there’s a lot of depth to it that I don’t find in other places. In short: this place rocks, go eat a reasonably priced bowl of phở of your choice and enjoy!

Some of the best phở I’ve had! Try the phở ga(chicken phở). You won’t regret it. Bonus treat! They give you mini packs of Pocky with your bill. If you can’t find parking in front, they have plenty in the back.

Have you ever had one of those days when work till your tank is totally empty but fail to realize till its too late then you madly run a Unilocal search for anything edible in a 500m radius? That was me yesterday, and I happened to be near this hidden gem as luck would have it. Ordered a simple fast lunch of a bowl of phở and spring rolls. I have to say that the broth here is definitely unique… More oily then most broths(don’t be deterred by this, I had to scoop a layer off too)… But the taste –Mmm!!! Apparently they boil it daily from a secret blend of herbs and use only New Zealand beef… Sweeter than most broths but hearty and delicious. The spring rolls were a bit denser than I expected, but still very tasty and fried to perfection. My only complaint is that the floor tiles are very slick. I almost slipped and fell getting to the table… Could have been hunger weakness …:)

I come here a lot. It’s pretty standard fare but it’s always up to snuff and I have yet to have a bad meal. Their hot sauce(in the little pot) is homemade and will set your face on fire so be careful with it(and I can take some heat!). A little goes a loooong way. I usually have their bun bo hue and it’s flavorful and quite satisfying. Their spring rolls are tasty. I had a vermicelli bowl with chicken instead of beef. Very tender and tasty. Service is always efficent. Mmm… Phở!

My go to, Phở place in East Van. Good portions, the large is deceptive, I had to struggle to Finnish. Mind you I load up on the chili sauce and the jalapenies. I always like the herbs and bean sprouts, mind you they had a“sawtooth” herb in the mix which I liked. Broth is good but a little salty for my liking. The skewer plater has a prawn skewer that uses sugar cane as the stick ! Seating and décor is ordinary. Parking is available on the street or in back. Service can be spotty during busy times. This time it wasn’t busy, so, no big issues, other than the food came out one by one, and we are a group of 4. So we had to wait. They give out Pocky with the bill which is a hit with kids.

This place gets 3.5 stars for the food but I bumped it up to 4 because of their service and the treat after the meal! They don’t have parking out in the front but there are spaces a short distance away. I was with a party of 5 and the place wasn’t very busy on a Sunday night. Everyone ordered phở and we shared the shrimp sticks? and chicken salad rolls. Service was quick and the server was friendly. I ordered #18 and when the server came out with the phở, she immediately noticed that the chef forgot to add tendons to my soup. That was quite pro on her part. The noodles were soft and chewy! Broth was a bit heavy on the MSG though. Felt very thirsty even after downing 2 glasses of water. But the Salad roll and shrimp sticks were delish. It was my first time there so I didn’t know they give out POCKY instead of mints! I’m not in the area very often but will return in the future.

This is my third time here. The first: I had the hot soup bin bue wai The second and today: #54 beef and beef skewers with spring rolls over vermicelli noodles. Today I also(I’m hungry!) had a single lemon chicken salad roll. Everything is so tasty I recommend it all. :) today it’s Tuesday at just before 6pm. Only three other tables In use here right now. Awesome service. The flavors and freshness of the food here is second to none. And it’s very affordable.

Located right beside the drive thru Starbucks, watch for cars coming out of the driveway as you are looking for the restaurant. Parking in the back We ordered Spring Rolls $ 2 each — deep fried, crunchy and so so so good! Beef Balls and Beef Tripe Phở — I find the broth a little oily for my taste, nice and light flavor, a small size noodles was very filling, wish they would give more tripe, the beef balls are good. Grilled Chicken Phở — the cut up chicken cutlet didn’t look very appetizing but when you actually taste it, it was really flavorful and tender. Vietnamese Iced Coffee — served the ice separately in stainless steel cup, great flavor and good. The décor is typical Asian eatery and very clean. They take cash, debit and credit and give you a small pack of Pocky Stick for dessert. MSG Alert — it has been over 4 hours and I can still feel the scratchy tongue feeling and extremely thirsty so eat at your own risk!
