I have known and loved this shop for many years. Whenever anyone asks me where they should buy First Nations art or jewelry I send them here. The staff are unpretentious, professional, courteous, and are actually also pretty fun when you get to know them. The artists that they work with are very diverse and create quality pieces. They also carry really gift wear which is nice if you are travelling or need a small gift for someone. Lattimer Gallery gives back to the community every year with their bent-wood box charity auction and have raised thousands of dollars. Definitely check it out online or in person as the boxes are so imaginative and fun. I have seen a few custom works that Lattimer Gallery has helped with and they are exquisite. I highly recommend going to see them. Especially check out one of their gallery openings as they treat their feature artists and guests so well by offering good food and wine at every event I have been to.

Thanks again to our art loving and fearless community leader, we had the chance to check out some awesome arts while sipping on delicious Merlot and catching up with new and old members of the community. The highlight of the night was the fun scavenger that taught us a word or two in First Nation languages and also introduced me to vintage native Jewelry. The art gallery is greatly laid out and the staff is very friendly and fun to interact with. I’d definitely be bringing my out of town guests to this gallery to learn a little about the ancient culture of the city we call home.

Was introduced to the space through a recent Unilocal event. A fun and generous night with much merriment. We got to sample Nk’Mip winery’s delicious merlot, and Quince’s catering. The space strikes you as inviting with a bit of a bazaar type vibe in that various artists are showcased throughout the space. It was a great idea to have us do a scavenger hunt as a fun way to get to know the space, it’s history and content. Who doesn’t love a challenge. We may have reached our max capacity at some point early on. It was tighter than an elbow to elbow event with a shortage of plates for purposeful snack sampling but that should not be a deterrent because a normal day should prove more spacious, much cooler and snacking probably would be discouraged ;). One of the things that most impressed was the knowledge of the staff for what they carried and the history. It seemed a good range of price points in that you could go in wanting to find a First Nations piece and happily find something you could manage to afford. The owner’s were AMAZINGLY generous with us Unilocalers awarding not ONEBUTTHREE $ 100 gift cards toward purchases. How cool is that. Plus a very cute gift bag with some beautiful cards and goodies. ‘miigwetch’ to the artists and staff.

There is quite a lot to see in this small gallery. I loved the stormtrooper ring, the masks, and the brightly colored paintings. Take a look for yourself!

Came here for CYME. This place has been on my list of galleries for some time, therefore, was glad that I got to come in. Such beautiful works and of course the paintings are amazing. I got lost in the art. The people there were very friendly in answering a lot of my questions. Well organized and in a decent location.
