Kenyan and Blondine are very magnificent business owners and all their stylists work with integrity and honesty. Recommended for a local cut and to support the local small businesses on commercial drive.

While the typical, strong signage of barber shops is absent from Ice Kol Kut, the gleaming aspects of what makes a «Good Barbershop» are all here. The shop definitely attracts attention if you walk by either the Hip-Hop/R&B background music playing or the colourful decorations inside this well respected shop. Customers get the Ritz Carlton treatment when you come through, everyone greets the incoming customers which I think is a crucial aspect, especially if your visiting here for the first time. You can ask the right questions to see what the barbers can and can’t do and during my visit, Q, took the time to really engage me periodically to ask my opinion. Nothing I hate more than some barber that has his own vision that doesn’t reflect what I’m looking for. I was so glad to have a barber and see Mike, the other barber, cater to customers who want their hair cut a particular way. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon so there was no concern about a long wait. So if you are wondering what the lineup situation is like on a weekend, you would have to call or read another review. When I had my beard trimmed, I definitely noticed the little extras here and there. My barber applied lotion to my face before and after, really took his time to use different devices to get me happy as a customer. Overall the pricing ain’t that high, especially for what some of the Barbershops are charging elsewhere on Commercial Drive and on Main Street. Important to mention, sometimes you have to dish out a little extra $ to get the exact look your aiming for. Investment in your look goes a long way, you don’t want to regret getting a bad cut at a cheap place people! Biggest takeaway from Ice Kol Kut is excellent customer service, fun environment and attention to detail from even their no.2 or no.3 barber. So glad I came through here the other day for the first time, S/O Mike and Q. Cheers

Went there for the first time yesterday, and got a great cut from Willie. Going to hair salons, it’s often obvious what the difference is between a «hair cutter» and a proper barber, specially when getting a buzz cut for coarser, curlier/nappier hair. This was a real barber, who took the time to even everything out, clean up all the lines(forehead, temple, etc), and all the other things that most hair cutters don’t do, but that real barbers do. I found my new regular barber. It cost a little more than I’ve paid for buzz cuts in the past, but the attention to detail was well worth the extra money. I’ll have to try the straight-razor shave next time.
