This is very convenient place to have a quick and healthy lunch around downtown Vancouver. I have to confess that the specials are better than the regular salads on the menu. I also love the idea of choosing the protein. I feel better knowing there is protein in my salad. Besides those good points, the service is very fast and price is reasonable.

The size and taste of the sandwiches are definitely worth the money and the service was friendly but it was just wayyyyyyyy to messy to enjoy. All the ingredients slide right out of the bun everytime you take a bite even when eating it with the wrapper on.

Three stars for the food only. Since changing over management, I’ve noticed almost an entire staff turnover, and the service has gone downhill fast. No more friendly faces, or courtesy from the staff. It’s more like they’re annoyed they have to take my order, or its a very fake smile before they send me on my way. I also noticed the butternut squash soup recipe changed. It was a lot more watery, and not quite as flavourful as it used to be. Really sad, because it seems as though one week it was my usual, happy, lunch place. Now it feels unwelcoming, the music is too loud, and just not worth it when I could go next door, or down the block, and be treated 100% better as a customer.

Chicken sandwich is my go-to when I’m craving a sandwich. The sauce they use is what dreams are made of. It’s pricey though. But worth it.

Always have had a good experience at this Hubbub location. Been grabbing lunch there occasionally ever since it opened. Experienced some very kind customer service today. Thanks guys. You rock!

Don’t mess with the sandwich [or salad] = the motto. While it might not please the customizers out there, these guys nail it. The flavor profile on the sandwiches is great, and the jalapeños add the right amount of kick. Pulled pork salads are abundant with tons of meat. Leaves you feeling satisfied but not weighted down. Assembly line makes the food, and they’re quick. Front staff are cheery. Décor is nicely simple. It feels like the owners really paid attention to details. Great for lunch!

Met a friend here for lunch on a sunny weekday afternoon. Can’t beat the location — very central, and perfect for taking those sandwiches over to the library plaza to people watch. Anyway, to the food! I got the chicken sandwich(yum!) and homemade lemonade(blueberry!). They have different lemonade flavours every few days — I loved the blueberry I had, and have heard good things about the jalapeño lemonade(next time!). The sandwich was filling, though very saucy(don’t eat over your dress and spill it, not that I’m speaking from experience or anything :). A fresh, tasty spot for a quick lunch in the big city!

I’ve only had the salad bowl w/pulled pork but it was seriously the most tasty and hearty salad I’ve had in awhile. Great value for under $ 10! Can’t wait to try their other menu items… stay tuned for an updated review!

It’s good. A bit hard to describe in terms of style of cuisine. Modern casual maybe? You can choose sandwiches or bowls. Everything is pretty healthy. Big leaf of lettuce in my sandwich which was a surprise. There was quite a bit of thought put into each ingredient. I thought the quinoa salad was a bit on the small side, but quinoa is a ridiculously expensive ingredient. Beer was good. This place gets so busy at lunch. Make sure you arrive before the rush.

I finally found this place after missing it last week due to some construction and being tucked away. It is a small hipster sandwich shop with limited seating, therefore, it is more of a to-go place. I came here for a double scoop of some vegetarian quinoa salad sprinkled with almonds for around $ 6. It was filling if you double it. The guy at the til was super nice and chill. They have Boylans on tap = super duper awesome.

Would give it 3.5 stars if possible. Put in a decent sized office order for 12 people at the peak of lunch hour and they turned it around in 15 minutes. Good service with a smile. Tried the pulled pork, chicken caesar, and vegetarian sandwiches. Also tried the pulled pork salad, shrimp salad, clean slaw(coleslaw), and quinoa salads. You can’t go wrong with either the pulled pork sandwich or pulled pork salad. Nothing spectacular about either but and slightly overpriced($ 8.99 each) but the flavor is unique and the bread is nice and chewy(if you like chewy bread that is). Eating experience is slightly on the messy side as the sauce tends to drip. The clean slaw and quinoa salads are very good too as sides. I prefer clean to creamy so for me it fits the bill; there’s a hint of balsamic and mint or something in the clean slaw which is really nice. Think Whitespot coleslaw but fresher and less creamy. For a sandwich + salad meal expect to pay about $ 13 after tax.

Originally, I wanted to get myself a good old fashioned Japadog, but I looked at the cue, and said to myself«maybe next time». Walking down the street, I saw this small, but charming looking food place with welcoming glass windows. I walked in, and the pulled pork sandwich was calling out to me. Although, it was $ 10, which is sort of pricey for a sandwich. But, I was hungry, so I ordered it. And boy did I not regret my decision. It was sooooo delicious. It had just the right crunch, kick(the jalapeños were a wee bit spicy, but oh so good) and heartiness to it. I will definitely visit again :9

I tried the veggie option and was non-plussed. The one good thing about it was that it was very hot. However I felt like the entire contents of the sandwich was mashed. It tasted like smashed, hot, wet veggies. This made it so that I couldn’t taste anything in specific, really. No condiments or cheese, no alternating textures or crunch. The bread was a bit too hard as well for the mashed contents. I’ve never made such a mess eating a sandwich! Ah, but it’s all in good fun, isn’t it!

Amazing sandwiches with the right balance of flavours. The bread is addictive. This is my favorite place to grab a sandwich. I wish there could be a special of a different weekly/monthly sandwich flavour. Because I’ve gone through all of them already and would like to try something new.

Pork salad pork salad pork salad. I am not one to chose a salad over a sandwich and the sandwich is delicious .but the salad there’s something about the contrast of the pork with the veggies. Yum. So filling I like it after a workout. Don’t get me wrong sandwhiches r delicious too. I’ve tried all the sandwhiches except veggies. My order is of deliciousness is Pork Prawn Chicken Sausage Quinoa salad is my fav salad. Cole slaw not bad. Once had kale ceaser salad that was a daily feature they should make it a regular side Awsome services at both locations.

Surprisingly chill place to have a beer downtown. This place is supposedly famous for sandwiches, though I didn’t try. Parking here is pretty awful, and there isn’t too much transit. Try to bum a ride of someone. The inside is a bit minimalist, but definitely stylish. Nice bare tables, and bar-style seating. The beer I had($ 5) hit the spot and felt good.

Really not sure what the fuss is about with this place. The sandwiches are on par with Tim Hortons, but twice the price and little variety. Seriously, no matter what meat you select EVERYSANDWICHTASTESTHESAME. a tangy mess of onion and what tastes like a rancid Big Mac sauce… its not something you crave. On top of that its just a mess. The sauce gets everywhere to the point that my already disgustingly-chewy bun was soggy as well. So, pray you like the ONE sandwich they offer because it’s really the only thing they have on the menu. I also got the coleslaw on the side… for a place that uses WAY too much sauce on their sandwiches my coleslaw was seriously lacking any dressing and just tasted like shredded cabbage. I pray my work stops ordering from here soon…

I first tried the salad with turkey sausage. Too much dressing, too much acidity. It could have used something crunchy and something sweet for balance. The shape of the bowl made it impossible to eat properly — all the toppings had to be dug out of the bottom of the bowl which was very awkward. I returned yesterday to try the pulled pork sandwich, which is apparently their signature item. Way too much juice, way too little taste. The pork was SO bland. All I could taste was jalapenos. There was no sweetness. In the future, I will stick to Memphis BBQ next door for proper pulled pork, and to Chopped Leaf for a decent salad.

To be honest, I was really scared of Hubbub. But then, I learned that you are certainly allowed to remove CILANTRO without paying a punishment fee! Apparently the Hornby location charges the patron a fee for any removed items off of their so-called perfect sandwich. I will admit that everything(the Chicken Sandwich) tasted really good and cohesive, but a sandwich is NEVER perfect with Cilantro. It costs a pretty penny for a good ol’ sandwich(~$ 10), but it does the trick. The guy making my sandwich looked really into making it perfect. It’s just a bit too bad that I had to wait 10 minutes with only one person in front of me. Whatever the case, good job Hubbub, I will fear your sandwiches a little less.

Decided to try this place since it opened up across from my place. I had walked by their original location before but never gone in. My first thought was«at $ 9 a sandwich, this better be life changing.» And it was! I had the turkey sausage and it was amazing. My son had the prawn with no jalapenos, witch was yummy, but I did miss the peppers. Trust them when they say the flavors are perfectly balanced, but what can you do? Spicy just doesn’t ever suit my 4 year olds palette so the peppers had to go. These are sandwiches worth paying $ 9 for.
