So bland, I’ve never had such a tasteless and over priced burger. I could have gotten a better burger at any other fast food chain. The price was also exorbitant considering the lack of quality. I guess they’re just used to the mild palates of the elderly to do anything with their food that might add flavour. Oh and why is the orange juice so small that I’ve seen sippy cups bigger?!

You know I really want to like this place as I just love a good solid diner. This place makes me sad as it potential to be better would be so easy. I had a patty melt frozen patty, cheap cheese, and frozen fries… Really you can’t even make fresh chips? I hope that one day I’ll walk by and see a «under new management» Then I will give it a try again. The neighbourhood really needs another casual option. To bad could be great

I have been here twice now and haven’t been that adventurous with my ordering– but the bacon and eggs, toast and coffee at the Cosy Inn has been solid each time. Extra points for having good coffee and for being generous with the refills(as well as generous with the jams for toast — some places are so chintzy, eh?). Not as gourmet as Jethro’s, which is also in the vicinity, but this place is a reputable greasy spoon.

2.5 stars. Basically a Bön’s off Broadway on the west side. Fair only to compare it to Bön’s, but a little cleaner, definitely not as busy, furniture, plates and utensils not as banged up, no writing on the walls, and a little more $$‘s but not by much. Frequented by a lot of First Nations customers b/c it is near a reserve. Breakfast here is run of the mill diner style. Food is comparable to Bön’s, but they don’t have the breakfast special. Just as I do with Bön’s, I don’t eat the Chinese food.

Well, I have a friend who works at Stongs and this is a regular lunch place for people who work in the area. For this reason, I’ve been there a couple of times. The food here is nothing special. Simple, greasy spoon fare that you would expect from one of these Chinese/Western food places. I had a hot turkey sandwich and while not the best, it was certainly not the worst. The fries were ok. One thing that I would recommend staying away from is the Chinese food. Far too greasy for my taste, and I’m usually quite the fan of heavy foods. The saving grace for this place is that even though everything is mediocre, the prices are reasonable and the portions are larger than average. If you’re in a pinch and just need filling up, this place could come in handy, I suppose. Given that there aren’t too many quality places in the immediate area, it’s better than nothing.
