Came by for a postgame meal this evening with a few friends. We sat in the bar area which was all but abandoned when we arrived. Service was pretty poor all night. Our table ordered several drinks which took forever to come. They were bottled drinks no less — not difficult to prepare. Similarly it was at least 20 minutes before we were approached to place our food order. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to any Boston Pizza. Their prices are steep — on par with the other franchises such as Earls, Cactus, etc. So much for BP being a place to bring the family for an affordable meal! I only glanced at the pizzas offered and noticed Panagos was cheaper for most — not to mention far superior. Their drinks on the other hand, were somewhat reasonable. Most of the specialty margaritas, caesars etc were $ 6 and bottomless fountain drinks were $ 3. The food came in a reasonable timeframe. There’s plenty of TVs in the bar area to keep customers distracted. The restaurant is in decent shape overall, but the washroom was in urgent need of repairs. I shared a platter of fully loaded nachos with beef. Between the three of us, it was more than enough. Lots of toppings, fresh cheese, banana peppers, tomatoes, you get the idea. The dips were average, and they did skimp on the beef a little bit, but overall the nachos were excellent. I won’t be returning to BP anytime soon, but if/when I do, I’d order the nachos again.

New owners again. 3−4th in 8 years tells you that this location is not a good one. Now rebranded as «film studio district», now the bar no longer offers Appy hour with most applies at a good price, now it is «Happy Hours» to bring in the rest of the BP’s with the same specials. So what this means is no more nachos, steak and bacon skewers, ½ order wings, ½ nachos, etc all for $ 8 or less are gone mon-thur 3 – 5 pm. They now offer just Cactus cut fries, bandera bread and dry ribs for 5 – 6 bucks and smaller beer and highballs at cheap prices. It seems to me the head office assumes that we go to BP with a group of 8 ready to spend to spend all our $, when in realty it is just 1 – 4 people wanting a drink and watch a game in the bar, in fact in the bar when you have a large table they are usually youngin’s who can’t pay the high prices and drink bounty pop and split 1 order 4 ways. I don’t know anyone who would spend $ 13 on 8 wings with 2 little strings of celery. Even on Wing Monday it is still $ 16 for 16 wings. Ah, but for now pasta Tuesday is still a good deal and they do have cold beer that is still at a good price, but I have run out of room to talk about the highest pizza prices in the world, and not even that great. Yes I still go there cause it’s close but just for beer only, you want wings and such with a bit more class, go to Earls on Lougheed on Wednesday for ½ price wings and cheaper beer and I’ll leave it at that.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for lunch. We were seated right away and the place was pretty slow. We sat on the lounge side, which was really nice. We ordered the Pierogi Pizza. It was pretty good and our food came fast and our waitress was really nice. I guess I’m a little difficult to please when it comes to pizza because I’m from New York! But it was pretty good. They have tons of TV’s and even a projector to watch all sorts of games on. The bar is super nice and well stocked. Since we were in the middle of doing our running around we didn’t have a drink but they have all sorts of cocktails on their drink menu as well as buckets of beer deals. This would be a good place to come and watch a hockey game! Their deals seemed pretty good. Over all the food was good and the service was fast. The prices aren’t outrageous. It’s a good place to get a quick bite as well as a family friendly place with the restaurant style seating on the other side. The lounge area is a great place for a group of friends to go for lunch or dinner to just to catch a game! We’ll be back!

Usually my party will go to the lounge. We are greeted quickly and the staff are friendly. I enjoy a nice restaurant with good service and this BPs is consistent in providing it.

I like the lounge setup and over the past year the level of service has really improved. Great place to go and watch the game.

I originally gave them a 4 but now it’s down to 3. I went back recently at around 11pm on a Saturday night during winter break, the staffs were definitely slacking. Perhaps the day went slow and manager wasn’t around. Our waitress was no where to be found. She didn’t let us know their promotions and did not respond back when she said she’d get back to us. We had to ask for it again to see if the deal still applied(buy 1 pitcher during game day, receive cactus cuts at a cheaper price). Again, I’m a regular customer so I know what they usually offer. Customer service definitely went downhill.

My first and last time at Boston Pizza. Went with my 3 kids(ages 5, 9, 9) at 4:50pm Friday evening. We were seated right away and the waitress came over in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered two kids meals and a lasagna for me to share with the third kid. The kids’ meals arrived at least 5 minutes before the lasagna, which meant that one kid was waiting around hungry while the other two were digging in. Then the waitress brought us ravioli instead of the lasagna. I sent it back, which was a mistake as soon as I saw what was presented as lasagna. Boston Pizza, has no one ever served you lasagna!!! I could spend $ 13 at Costco and get two family-sized lasagnas that taste like Michelin starred restaurant fare compared to what I was served. Just because you used pasta that resembles lasagna noodles does not constitute lasagna! What we got was a dish of narrow lasagna noodles with sauce and a little bit of cheese on top. There were NO layers. I thought maybe there had been some mistake but the waitress assured me this was the standard version of Boston Pizza lasagna. The kids’ meals were mediocre. For $ 7 each one kid got 2 of the tiniest cheeseburger sliders ever(advertised with ketchup and mustard, but those were missing). Meat, cheese, bun. Tiny portion of fries. The other kid got an even smaller portion of fries and a personal pizza which was okay, but nothing special. The waitress had to be brought back to bring the kids ketchup – I guess that is not considered the norm for burgers or fries? The kids’ sundaes were also teensy tiny. Waitress disappeared after we got the sundaes. I finally got another server to get her so we could get the bill. I feel totally ripped off. Never again!

I love this place! I don’t know why the reviews are so bad. The hostesses that greet you at the door are pretty unenthusiastic, but the servers are attentive, give great service, are there when you want them and otherwise give you your time and privacy. I like how they are NOT overly friendly /in your face /asking how the food is tasting all the time. The food is always hot, flavorful and tasty. I usually come on a Tuesday(pasta day) or a Wednesday(pizza day), and have their pasta and their pizza. Both are great, and you can do a half and half pizza at no extra charge. Their desserts are rich and a lovely way to end a meal. Great value at a great price with pretty good service, at a convenient location, can’t ask for much more.

The 3 of us arrived at 11pm, restaurant was pretty empty. We ordered: Root beer floats — A&W is cheaper and better. Raspberry Lemonade — best thing i had that night. Large Meatero pizza — it was average and small for a large, definitely overpriced. Chicken and mushroom fettuccine — SOOBLAND, no taste to it at all and chicken was rubbery.(even all the salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese, and chili flakes couldn’t help save it) Chicken tacos with a side of french fries — tacos were good, fries were soggy. not crispy. Chocolate Doughcona — PLEASE avoid at all cost, it did not look anything like the picture shown. It was raw on the inside but the bottom still managed to taste burnt. We weren’t sure what we were even eating. The description said the dessert contained cheesecake, toffee, caramel, pecans and almonds. None of the above were found in the dessert EXCEPT we were lucky enough to find ¼ of a pecan in the whole dessert. THANKYOU. The service wasn’t great. our waiter was inattentive, he was never around when we needed him. He did not seem to enjoy his job nor happy to serve us at least. Our total came to $ 78.58, + 10% tip $ 7.85(nothing more or less) Overall: Food — 5.9÷10 Dessert — NEGATIVE5⁄10 Service — 3.85÷10 I don’t think we’ll ever come back.

First of all. I have been a few times and been happy. This time, there was a power outage in much of the city, which made them busy. However, we arrived ahead of the crowd and were seated immediately. As the tables filled up around us… they were also asked for their orders. Nobody asked us. Nobody checked in. So we decided to leave, rather than watch everyone around us be served. As we left, I told the staff at the front why we were leaving. They laughed. No really, they shrugged and laughed. My partner went back in to tell them that was unsatisfactory. He asked for the manager She was the manager!!! She too shrugged and said they were busy… no apologies Never to return

I live across the street from this location and for the last year, it’s been my go to for a quick bite and UFC nights. The staff have been great, courteous, accomodating and attentive and I had no reason not to go back… except for my last and final two visits. They advertise that they close at 1. I called one day just short of 12:30am and asked if I had enough time for a dessert(which I knew just needed to be reheated, not made from scratch, so even for early kitchen closes, this would be doable) and whether or not the bar can pour me a drink to accompany it. Again, living 30 seconds away so I didn’t think it was an issue. Kent, the server, who answered the phone told me had to «ask the bar,» and all I heard was some guy yelling«tell ‘em no man, I wanna get home on time». Apparently, I was told I had missed last call. I wrote a complaint shortly after and Lily, the general manager called me to apologize as my request could have and should have been fulfilled, as last call is generally 12:30 but can be extended to 12:45, especially since the kitchen wouldn’t have needed to reopen for my request. I was asked to come back and try them out again. Never again. Went for some wings and a rocket recently, got the same server who managed to not only spill my wings on the way to my table, but couldn’t remember to fill my water after asking twice. He leant over the other person I was with to ‘hear better’ when taking our order which is not only a big no no, but also didn’t help because I had to repeat myself quite a few times. I’m also not old enough to be called«ma’am». Pretty sure he’s older than I am. Should really be hiring people who know the appropriate use and when to not make their customers feel out of place. Goodbye, BP. Fire the idiot and I may consider coming back, but right now your service is as crappy as your hiring standards. :)

The family has been going to Boston Pizza at other locations and tried this one over the last few months as many of the staff that had worked at the Station Square location before it closed down moved here. This location serves the smallest portions that they can get away with. How do we know? Because we have tried so many other locations including Niagara Falls location. The portions served here are ¾ what other branches serve and i guess this is their cost savings scheme to increase their profit margin. Beware of their new servers as they get the order mixed up! I mean family of 5 went to celebrate a birthday, we each ordered an entrée, only to find out that the server thought we were sharing entrees(All adults sharing???). The locations is also very hard to get to if going during peak times on weekdays as its close to the Boundary and Grandview intersection which has traffic congestion starting at 5pm-7pm on weekdays, going East/West and this makes it very cumbersome to access this location. Parking is no problem once you get to the location. I still feel the staff that work here from the old Station Square location are very friendly. I did point out the obvious reductions in the portion size. Another new server explained that the food is weighed before serving??? and to contact the Corporate Offices to complain!

Haven’t been to a BP in almost a year so we figured we’d drop by. My wife had the pizzaburger sliders and I had the chipotle bacon penne. The sliders were ok. They were a little light on the pizza sauce which made the thing taste a bit like a minimally seasoned meatball. The bread had a nice crust and it was otherwise a decent dish. Little details make all the difference though. The pasta was also just ok. They kind of loaded it up with alfredo and they don’t use nearly enough chipotle. It really wasn’t very spicy and the bacon didn’t provide much smokiness. Service was adequate. We got water, we got drinks, we got drink refills. The server didn’t screw up. I’d come here again but BP is rarely(actually never) near the top of my list of places to go when I want food.

Dec. 2013 — This particular restaurant creates a bad reputation to the restaurant chain. We made an advanced reservation for a party of 20, service was very slow and the food came out at different times. The host of the party received his food 15 minutes after the rest of the group. Our water glasses were not refilled and our soft drinks were not refilled. Overall terrible food and above all their automatic 15% gratuity was not negotiable; could not be adjusted down. Fortunately there are other restaurant options; take a pass on this one.

Tonight we went to Boston Pizza Grandview. This location is very nice, and a great atmosphere in the bar… The server was good, and the drinks were cheap. However, the food is way over priced. With nothing really standing out, I think we over payed for what we got. The hot wings were delicious, but very small for that price. And even with the large pizza being on special, it still seemed to expensive. But overall, I would return. Maybe to watch sports in their beautiful lounge, and only drink…

In my opinion, pizza and pasta in this place constantly(for several years) tastes better than other Boston pizza. Although I am not usually a huge fan of Boston pizza, I had a groupon for pizza and it was pasta tuesday. And, I had a craving for pasta today and wanted to use groupon before expiry. Girls didn’t greet us that cheerfully in the front. But, waiter was the most perfect face and pleasant person that I’ve seen. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is part time actor, part time waiter. His name is Danman? according to my girlfriend’s glance on his name tag, haha. First time when I was there several years ago, I also had a good experience with service and food. Parking is plentiful and easy;that’s bonus.

I haven’t eaten at Boston Pizza in a long time and I really had a craving for the Philly steak sandwich, therefore, as an office treat we ordered BP take out. From the phone call to the arrival it was nothing but a gong show. 1. When we called we were put on hold for 10 minutes for the call taker to check if they still carry a menu item that clearly was published in their most recent menu. 2. It took 2 hours for the food to arrive. We called them and the food hadn’t even left the kitchen. In other words it took 2.5 hours for our meal. 3. When it arrived they messed up all 3 orders. 4. When we called they were unwilling to compensate us, apologize or even offer a credit for their mistake. We eventually got 1 of the 3 meals that were messed up credited for next time. This wasn’t until our boss was on the phone with them for 15 minutes. 5. I ordered the Cesar salad, however, I received no salad dressing. My salad was nothing more than rabbit food. 6. The sandwich was soggy. Very very upset.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. It is the tale of two different, but same, Boston Pizzas. We are never sure which Boston Pizza we will get with every visit. We have had a few visits where they were hitting on all cylinders. At those times our usual options — the Vegetarian Multi-Grain Pizza, the Chicken Stromboli, and the Pollo Pomodoro Linguini were served fast, hot and tasty. Unfortunately we have had a few train wreck dine in/to-go visits too. Our last visit we waited 45 min for our Vegetarian Multi-Grain Pizza, to have it served with a perfect crust but the cheese barely melted and the vegetables«al dente». We didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes to have a new pizza made so the choice was made to put it back in the oven for a few minutes. When it was returned to us the toppings were perfect but the crust was overdone. To their credit, every time we have had a Boston Pizza mishap they are very good about making it right. In this particular case we were comped the pizza and our drinks. I appreciate their customer service related to their deficiencies, but I would prefer to have good service and well– made food every visit. Their food can range from 1 star to 4 stars with a one point bonus for customer service.
