Oh dear the sorry state in the standard of this restaurant, food is prepared at another site which is not positive. We ordered a «Belt» sandwich this week. With egg, lettuce, tomato it also contained several slices of cold raw bacon. RAW bacon which was disgusting and obviously hazardous to consume. We pointed this out and the waitress talked by phone to her manager who claimed bacon was cooked for 20 minutes at the prep site. Well this was such an outrageous lie with the evidence of zero cooking in front of us. We asked her to warn her manager as human consumption of raw pork is not safe. We were offered a refund but refused and were given croissants and Danishes as a gesture of their regret. Since opening to high hopes –when food was prepared in the kitchen here –we were regularly buying bread, pastries etc. and ate here(terrible quiche last time). We wonder how much longer until Health Inspections assess the safety of the food.

Really excellent coffee and some of the best croissants I’ve had in Canada. Friendly and fast service in a cute little shop.

Best lemon meringue pie out there! Their baguettes are pretty amazing. I usually order the linch special which is a pretty good deal in my opinion.

I have ordered many pastries in this lovely french cliché bakery. The atmosphere is cool and friendly, with a real sound of french bakeries. Their cakes look like tasty and they are tasty. I have a huge preference for their strawberry pie and the creamy royal chocolate. I can eat those little cakes every day. The coffee is high quality and they even offer some special price on morning(breakfast special — a coffee and a pastry) which is good on the way to work, or to relax and chat with a friend. Be careful it is kind of addictive !

Had wonderful service but I feel like the chocolate croissant was a little sought and undercooked on the bottom. I think they also got my order wrong — but they were really nice and friendly!

I go to this place alot. Love everything(croissant is awesome) except for one rude blonde worker with terrible customer service. Everyone else seems very friendly though :)

I used to frequent this place but the last three times have been disappointing. I used to love the almond croissants but lately they are dry, cold and awful. They seem to keep them in a chilled cooler. Could this be? They are COLD which Is not acceptable. I even suspected them being a day old as they really didn’t seem fresh and I was there in the morning. Maybe they put them in the fridge and brought them back out in the morning. Not flakey outside… just soggy, squished and cold. I also ordered a ham and cheese croissant there was a cold unmelted piece of white cheese sitting on top of it which fell off as it wasn’t even melted on. No… I don’t want it microwaved. Service was very nice though which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1.

Hit or miss quality and freshness, and a pretty limited selection overall. Cobs down the street is a much better option for your local bakery needs.

So now you’re not adding sugar to your Palmier pastry! That’s one of only three ingredients, so we are buying puff pastry and salt! You charge the same but sell us baked puff pastry, oily and just a terrible thing to eat. We threw ours out. Your staff tell me, on more than one occasion, that you received a few complaints. One of them actually told me they’re not sure why they sell them anymore since there’s no sugar on then. I asked a manager today, turns out someone complained that they have too much sugar on them — nice. So if I complain that your bread has too much flour are you going to listen to me and sell us flourless bread?! Why not stick to French tradition when it comes to your recipes, after all you claim to be a French inspired bakery? Once again, inconsistent products = disappointed clients. I don’t think you guys care that much though, as long as you have the wholesale business you’re good, right :)?

Seems to be hit and miss. The coffee is mediocre. The mini pastries were ok, but not great: The chocolate éclair tasted old; the flan was nice; but the milles feuilles was bland. However there is no doubt that the chocolate croissants are excellent!

Excellent bread, even better pastry, perfect coffee. My fave bakery in Vancouver. Hope the owners stay with high quality ingredients ’cause that and a great baker makes a huge difference. So far A+ to the bakers for a great job!

They have really cute mini cakes that are $ 1.50. Not too much and just enough to satisfy the sweet tooth. The prices all around are reasonable and the lady at the til was very sweet and charming. I’ve seen this booth at many farmer’s markets around town and most recently the Car Free Day on Main.

My favorite lovely French Café in Vancouver. I love the pastries and the friendly vibe. I come here 2x a week mainly to take out either their cheese cake, fruit pie, pistachio éclair, or palmier. For me, their palmier is the best in the city.

Nice friendly staff. Good coffee. Loved the vibe that the shop had and the seating out front where one can just sort of sit back and relax.

This is a cool little french café on West Broadway !!! They have an assortment of coffee, the cappucino was heavenly, it was strong and didn’t taste like dirty water. I couldn’t decided whether to have a croissant or tarte for a snack so… I decided on both. YUM !!! The almond croissant was flakey and just sweet enough. The apple tarte was heavenly. I love the selection of sweet pastries —- some of them came in bite size, but each one of them looked like art !!! I really like the lunch special a lot. $ 10 for a drink, sandwich, and dessert. Where can you go wrong? An interesting thing: they have a see through kitchen door so you can see directly into the kitchen and the bakers.

As others have said — Baguette & Co is unpretentious. The coffee is Salt Spring and is brewed well. I had the Morning Glory muffin which was quite good, if a little oily. I plan on going back to investigate the pastries when the mood hits. Do not hesitate to stop in here if you’re on Davie. There is no reason to go to the Starbucks.

I like this place. The pastry is plentiful and tasty. However, the coffee is a bit weak in flavor for a Seattle coffee drinker.

The only thing I love more than baked goods are MINI baked goods! Easier to sample a greater variety! So you can imagine my joy when I walked in and saw that MANY items were available in adorable mini-versions! The croissant dough was excellent and the ratio of chocolate in the chocolate croissant was perfect. I have to admit that the mille feuille(which I merely pointed to, as I worried about my pronunciation, and the employee said«the napolean?» and I thought there was some confusion — but now wikipedia tells me they’re the same thing — good to know) was not as perfect — a little too heavy, especially the icing. There was a large variety of sweet stuff, including pistachio croissants — impressive. And my other favorite thing in a bakery? Day old stuff — I at least saw some day old bread, so that’s a good start. The various tarts were also attractive and there were many savory options.
