I’m so glad i came. Its been years since I’ve been here. They renovated. It used to be dark and dingy, now it’s bright and cheerful! Location: Where Eastern and church Street meets and Eastern splits and becomes front! In the basement of the flatiron building. . Parking: It’s all pay parking in the area. They are all tiny spots too. High chance of having your car door dinged! Just take transit or get a ride. Will also save you stress from having to make sure you don’t run over pedestrians. Being in such close proximity to St. Lawrence market there are a lot of walkers. Kids and dogs too! Getting inside: It’s located into the Flatiron building. In the basement. You have to walk down old warn concrete stairs. It’s kinda cool really. Décor: I have to admit, it’s pretty nice. They’ve renovated and wow. It used to be dark now it’s bright. Even though it’s in the basement they have big windows on the north and south side of the building that lets in lots of light. There are booths and tables and booth-table hybrid seating. Comfy and welcoming. Food: Yum! I got the small nachos with spicy beef and my dining companion got the burger with goat cheese, no buns and fries. I’m so glad I got the small nachos. Man, they were huge. They did them great. The chips stayed crispy and the were covered in a tonne of cheese. The spicy beef was a terrific choice. It added that extra kick that just brought them up to great. The only thing… The guacamole, salsa, and sour cream were poured over the top. That was no bueno. It actually was really messy, covered the beef and made it a bit hard to eat. It also looked kinda weird and unappetising. The burger. She loved loved it. Said she’d get it again in a heartbeat. It looked and smelled great too. She said the fries were perfect. Staff: Omg loved the staff. All of them were great. Everyone made sure we were taken care of. Even if the food had been crap(it wasn’t) I would be back because everyone was so great Conclusion: I am coming back for sure. Big recommendations!

Great, big burgers! Really flavorful and with 5 onion rings on top. And the deep fried pickles are delicious. What a unique location too. It’s cozy and bright from the street level windows lining both sides of the building.

My pal, Liz, and I had supper this evening at the Flatiron. It’s in the basement of the historic Gooderham Building. Liz ordered a Coronation Chicken Wrap. She said it was good. I ordered the same thing I had at the Falcon and Firkin in Richmond Hill Sunday evening … Three Little Yorkies and wings with honey garlic sauce, which were good. It was nice to see that they were consistent with the ones I had on Sunday. Katie was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us.

Good seating, goot staff, decent food and drinks. Nice location a short walk form Yonge and Wellington. Went there on a Sunday night for drinks and to catch some of the All Star NBA action on Valentine’s day night. The offer on Moosehead and a few other lagers from the tap and on a few dishes was pretty good. Mac n’ Cheese was decent, it was creamy and cheesy… so can’t complain. I would have preferred a little more seasoning, seemed bland. But nothing a few sprinkles couldn’t fix. The booths are comfy and the television screens are practically everywhere… so you can’t miss any action. The staff checks in on you every now and then, and are courteous and attentive. Will visit again.

There’s a hot bartender there. They had great cocktails once upon a time.

I love this place. It’s extremely laid back and the staff here are wonderful. It is a small pub, so reservations are encourage. I have personally never made a reservation and just hope for the best on a week night. Oh and the food! I’ve only ever gotten the chicken curry here and I think it’s delicious.

The Flatiron and Firkin is one of those places I never went when I lived in Toronto and that I try to get to every time I’m back home. Food wise, it’s a chain pub so you’re not going to find anything you won’t find in any other Firkin pub. The staff is great and now that it’s been remodeled it’s much brighter than it was. Located in the basements of one of the coolest buildings in the city the pub is a very neat design. The sidewalk level windows behind the bar make for an interesting«people watching from the knee down» experience. It’s within walking distance of the ACC and Skydome(yeah I know that’s not what it’s called anymore but i’m not calling it the other thing) so it’s good for a pre-game drink(or nine or ten post game drinks if you’re a Leafs fan) without having to go to the more crowded further west down front street.

Nice place to get drinks and chill with friends. We only got drinks; didn’t try their food menu. Beers were good. Service was decent too. Will return if I am in the area

Average food, nothing spectacular. I tried the fish & chips, curry chicken and sticky toffee pudding. Dessert was the highlight. Prices were very reasonable for the location, especially for the daily special(an $ 8 bowl of chicken curry with rice, naan and salad). The staff is friendly and accommodating. A good spot to go if you want to dine on a nice patio with your dog. Basic food, decent value.

We came here on Saturday June 13th for lunch after not being able to get served in a restaurant across the street and it actually turned out to be a very good decision. As you are aware this building is one of the coolest designed structures in Toronto. The service here was very fast and the bartenders here are super friendly. As far as drinks go they have a good selection of cocktails and beers. The food is also very good. We shared some sirloin and bacon sliders which were served on fresh pretzel buns and we shared a large order of mac n cheese, topped with bacon. The prices here are very reasonable and the atmosphere is great. We elected to downstairs as opposed to the patio and its a great place to watch all the people are taking pictures and selfies outside. I think most of them don’t even realize that there are people watching them lol. If you are in Toronto or near the St. Lawrence Market, be sure to stop by here and have a drink or a snack.

Nice location, inside the flatiron building. Service was alright, the food was good, I went with their firken burger which was good, filling a bit pricey but still good

You should do one thing each day that scared you, which is why I ordered macaroni and meatballs. Like many great risks, this one paid off big time and I enjoyed a delicious meal. My friends and I were killing time here before an event. The pub is super casual, but service is good and menu is standard pub fare. Interesting location, in the basement of the building, but otherwise cool. Central and easy to get to, too. Nice vibe if you’re looking for a place to wind down and chill, but otherwise nothing special. This place is a-ok if you’re not looking for anything in particular but if you want unique pub fare or cooler ambience I’d look elsewhere.

We stopped by for a beer. Nice outdoor seating with white lights strung overhead. The low and high tables, gate and lights give it a nice ambiance. Smoking and non-smoking sections and fairly busy on a Saturday night at 8:00PM, but it emptied out about 9:30PM. Friendly and attentive wait staff, as well as cute. The male wait staff was working his a$$ off. A small selection of beer on tap, bottles and cans.

I don’t understand the reservation policy. I arrived and there were several tables reserved and there were customers coming in and leaving because there was«no table.» I think the owner loses money with such policy. Wine is good though.

Located in a good strip of bars near St Lawrence Market the Flatiron and Firkin is a cool little bar with a distinctly British feel. Inside and outside seating is offered catering for a large number of patrons. The drinks menu includes ales, lagers, wines and spirits. This is accompanied by an extensive food menu that includes sliders, platters, all day breakfasts and staple British mains such as burgers and chips and bangers and mash. They also have happy hour offers on pints of lager. As a trio we shared jugs and pints of the house made ale, along with chips, bread and dips to soak it up. Food and drinks were good, but the service was a little slow. All in all a good venue. It’s a close call between 3 and 4 stars and as I can’t pick 3.5 I’m giving it 3.

Atmosphere is nice. The last time we were in, our server was as attentive as she could be since the place was slammed. Their patio is awesome, and the location and space itself is gorgeous. The salads are all pretty decent and the soups are very nice. I just honestly wouldn’t recommend anything else on the menu. The food generally tastes mediocre and cheap. I’ve been 6 times total, and anytime I’ve ordered anything but the soups or salad, I’ve felt very unwell. I don’t think the place is unsanitary or anything, but I think they use a very low-grade oil and it upsets my stomach(which is, admittedly, sensitive). So if you have a sensitive belly, or are recovering from illness, you may wish to avoid this pub. I will say the bartender I’ve seen around a few times,(Hannah?) has always been cool. She’s really sweet, knows her stuff, and is very attentive!

I visited on a weeknight, the crowd was light and the service was impeccably responsive. It’s a unique location too in the basement of the flatiron building in the heart of the beautiful St. Lawrence market district. I ordered the fish and chips and it arrived promptly, delicious choice! If you’re looking for a comfortable place to have a drink with friends and are in the area, this is the place to go!

Came here last night! Was originally planning to head to PJ O’Brien, but they happened to be closed on Sunday so came here instead, which was way better than our original plan! They have a lot of Sun specials! My bf ordered the $ 5 Moosehead 20oz, $ 7 Spud & Sauce. Which was a choice of any one of them from the menu! We had the Buffalo Chicken one! I had the Industry special House white $ 4.506oz, possibly the best tasting house white i have ever had! Not to mentioned the cheapest! It was a Niagara Chardonnay & Reisling blend! Along with the stuffed Yorkie $ 8 which was a Yorkshire Pudding drenched in Guiness gravy with mashed potatoes along with bits & pieces of Roast beef which was sooo delicious! It was small but Perfect for my small appetite! This Firkin is quite funky, with a back room, different décor as the front room! Will def be back to try the rest of the weeks special!

I came here for my first time with a friend who’s a somewhat regular — I’m glad I joined her! This place is adorable. The downstairs is cozy and warm — perfect for a night-in when it’s chilly outside. We were hungry, so were ordered one of the specials(gyro with a side for $ 10). It was delicious! One of the best I’ve ever had(mostly because the pita was just the best.) The server was really nice and attentive and came refreshing our beers as needed. I would definitely be back!

Love the location and the outdoor patio! We ordered the Irish Nachos — basically Waffle fries and Fish and chips. Both was pretty good and portion filled us up just right. Patio is huge and lots of servers outside assisting. Was here for woofstock so my dog was able to hang with us outside the patio.
