At full price, none of these garments are really worth purchasing lol, but then again not many stores are worth shopping at for full price. Canadian retail stores are notoriously expensive, sometimes without the detailing and good sizing you get in europe. The 2 stars are not just for the price and mediocre clothing. Some items here can go up to $ 400 per piece easily. The sales people in this store are snot nosed little queens. I made the mistake of bringing my mother(a very important person to me) to shop with me here, and i saw this effeminate bitchy looking little man snickering at her. Why? because she’s old? or??? He then turned to his two female co workers and simply whispered things right in front of our face. I told my mother then and there to exit the store, giving them a raised eyebrow and cold up/down glare as i put the clothes i picked out right onto a pile in front of them.

I love french connection in general, although this location(eaton centre) is particularly awesome. The sales people in this store are unusually nice, or maybe that’s only because I’ve become used to the shitty service everywhere else in the mall. I don’t buy everyday clothing here; usually just party dresses. Given the service I got last time I was there though, I might start frequenting them more often. I was itching to buy something last week and it was really close to closing time, but the ladies there in no way rushed me. They were helpful and sweet. I left with a dress. Got home, and didn’t like it as much(eh it happens). I saw something else on the website that looked interesting, so called the store to see if they had it. Be forewarned, the website sometimes shows a dress in one color in the image, when really it comes in another color. They had the dress in the store, but in red(not blue, which was the image on the website). I was a bit annoyed, but found it satisfying when the salesgirl agreed with me that it was indeed stupid. I love having my annoyances validated. Anyways, the red dress was just as nice, and I eventually exchanged the original dress with no issues.

Let me start off by saying that I never have and never will purchase anything in this store at full price! I stop into this store to surf their sales racks and that can be hit and miss(mostly miss) as lot of their clothing just doesn’t seem to fit me properly. I’d like to add that I’m not an odd size, perhaps a bit ‘hippy’, but that’s about it. Stopped in here on Friday and after perusing their sales rack I managed to scope out 4 tops with ‘potential’. I tried them on, sales staff was very helpful, but only one fit me properly… the other three were just cut weird and didn’t hang properly on my body. This was just one visit, and I’ve stopped in here more than a few times and have had some measure of success. So, I’d have to say it’s ok. This location can get busy, especially at this time of year given that everyone is out doing their holiday shopping, but despite this, I’ve always found the sales staff to be attentive. As for their prices, as I wrote earlier, I never buy anything there at regular price, as I find their stuff to be too pricey otherwise.

Once upon a time, there was a young girl desperately seeking a dress for a wedding. Every store she tried didn’t make the cut. It either fit well and was too expensive, or it was cheap and looked it. One day, she drifted into French Connection, where she found the loveliest of strapless dresses. Alas, she couldn’t afford the dress as her evil employer paid her less than what was needed to support her shopping. She left the store that rainy day, sad and desolate, hoping that one day, that dress could be hers. But how would that be? Fashion switches so quickly and the dress would probably be gone by then. Several months later, she was out walking and found herself again in front of the French Connection location. She went in and, lo and behold, the coveted dress was still there, in her size and on sale. Huzzah! The sales people found her size, rang her up and sealed it with a bow and fairy dust. The young girl skipped out of the store, cartoon birds above and cartoon squirrel singing at her feet, elated that she finally owned the dress of her dreams. Moral of the story? Frequent the sales racks and you’ll definitely find something of great quality that is worth purchasing… oh, and always take cartoon birds and squirrels with you when going for a walk.
