Low-​carb Taiwanese snack/​lunch/​dinner? Tri-​pot is a place you need to try out!
Larry L. gave a wonderful review of how Tri-​pot works. This take-​out or eat-​in establishment is a small feature inside the Zephyr restaurant. The menu has an extension collection of $ 2-​$ 5 items you can choose from all kinds of meats to vegetables to mushrooms to vegetable-​based noodles. After you choose a sauce and the spiciness range you prefer, you wait about 10 – 15 minutes depending on how busy they are and volia! You have a lovely take-​out package of yumminess.
I ate in once before, you just kind of seat yourself at a table close to the ordering spot. We asked the waitress on the restaurant side for a bowl of rice (because I can’t cut myself off of carbs) and ate that hot, steaming pile of goodness right there and then.
Lots of flavour and with all your favourite ingredients cooked well, how could you go wrong?

Driven by here a number of times and wanted to try out their low carb Taiwanese snacks.
Here’s what you do when you come here.
Food is usually for take out, but you can also eat in.
Enter the restaurant portion of the building which faces Alderbridge Way.
There are two business here sharing the same location (sorta).
Go up to the Tri Pot counter,
Look at the items you want to try.
$ 2 each per item, there are also $ 5 items to choose as well.
They’ll ask you what kind of sauce you want and if you want it spicy.
You can choose not to have the cilantro and green onions for toppings.
Give them about 10 minutes to prepare and it’s ready for takeout.
All payable by cash of course.
You can eat at the long table in front of the Tri Pot counter.
or take it home for dinner or snacks.
The food is cooked in a special sauce and all combined together in a container for takeaway.
I’ve been to a place like this in Taiwan, many many years ago but it was never this fancy and of course that was in the early 80’s
