We were here awhile ago and we had no idea how this place stayed open. Desperate tourists, of course. Line was so long, service was atrocious, and the food was unedible. We were in this area recently and just assumed they were closed for the day, not permanently closed. Want great Italian food? Go to the one attached to a hotel(Hotel 71?). It is diagonally across Auberge Saint Antoine.

Walked around Quebec City around 12:30pm looking for a good place for breakfast and it just wasn’t working out. Hunger took over right as we saw La Pizz(which is definitely not closed, as Unilocal says), and we walked into a completely empty restaurant. Our server was very nice and brought us some almost inedibly hard bread. This gave me a bad feeling about the food, but I was very wrong. I ordered the personal pizza with onions, peppers, mushrooms and artichokes. Very, very good. My girlfriend ordered the Carbonara with linguine and that was fantastic as well. The prices were very reasonable compared to most other restaurants in Quebec City($ 13 for a 9″ pizza and $ 12 for pasta) and I was fully satisfied. Oddly enough, probably four Coldplay songs came on while we were there, which was not exactly pleasing.

Excellent pizza. If you’re vegetarian try the #10 as our waitress recommended and you won’t regret it! Great location, Quick service, reasonable prices and fresh ingredients! As we were leaving I saw pasta on someone’s else’s table which looked really good as well, will definitely come back on our next visit to QC!

Pizza was pretty good, crust was delicious but could have used more sauce. Loved the hot wine though, it was delicious!

Great Pizza in a great location. Beautiful church right across, free wifi from the museum still in range, it was a beautiful day. The only thing that I could complain about was the semi-Ok service. refused to let me and my girlfriend sit at a larger table even though there were only 2 other tables occupied. I guess they were hoping for some kind of rush of patrons that never showed up. :/oh well.

Rude owner, turns away 2 seater guest wanting to sit at a 4-top table in an empty place. Too many bee’s in every corner, food did not taste like pizza. Overpriced, don’t bother.

AMAZINGPIZZA — sooo good!!! We read average reviews on Unilocal and weren’t sure if we wanted to try it. But I was craving pizza and this restaurant had outdoor seating facing the Notredame — what better view than that. The service was attentive and friendly. I ordered a pizza with tomato sauce, basil, caramelized onions, and cheese. The crust was crispy and the pizza was perfectly baked. Usually, the veggies are just dumped on the pizza without any flavor. Here the basil and onions were baked and blended in with the cheese. I ordered the personal size, but I know I could have finished the large as well. Perfect way to satisfy my pizza craving!

Fresh, hot, delicious food. Thin crust pizza. Iffy service that got better throughout.

I don’t understand the lacklustre reviews. We had a great meal — great pizza here! Very generous with the ingredients. A dozen olives versus a paltry 4 I’ve had at other places. Also had the chicken salad — big portion Service was prompt even though they were in a lunch rush. It’s a family joint — quaint décor. Prices competitive and fair for gourmet pizza — a 12″ was 18 – 20 $

Wow, I am truly dumbfounded by the previous reviews. This was our BEST meal here in Quebec City. Beautiful décor, ALL beers served in bottles and on tap were Unibroue and the food was INCREDIBLE!!! Don’t miss this spot. We ordered the Ementhal and tomato sauce and one with Blue Cheese. Well worth the price!!!

The smell, location and ambiance enticed us to stop there during a cold winter day. We were hoping for a quick lunch and from the board posted outside, presumed we would be in and out in ½ hr. As we walked up, the waited beckoned us inside(first sign we should have walked out). We sat and the waited brought us the menus. Since we didn’t initially realize it was a pizza restaurant, and wanting to order something that would warm us, so we both ordered the French onion soup which was posted on the board. the cocky waiter seemed annoyed that we didn’t want a pizza, and told us if we really wanted the soup, it would take 10 to 15 minutes. That sounded doable(plus we needed to thaw out) so agreed to wait. We ordered our drinks and mine came out 5 minutes later. My husband’s beer however took at least 15 minutes(by which time we were expecting our food)! 40 minutes after we were seated, the waiter finally came by to apologize for the soup taking so long and said that it would take another 15 minutes max since the kitchen had been busy with other orders. Never mind that tables seated after us had already eaten two courses! No, we were not willing to gamble that in 15 minutes we would probably have our soup! We opted to leave and stumbled upon Le Petit Cochon Dingue for a quick and very tasty lunch.

Wow, I really don’t go out of my way to pillory a place but here is my take on this sub-par restaurant. Do not let the smell entice you to pay a lot for the food here. I ordered a pizza(makes sense right?) with emmental cheese, bacon, and onions. Well, my disappointment was increased given the fact that a party of 2 paid damn near 40 bucks for a good crust and that was it. The fact that I had to SALT my pizza and then add olive oil to give it flavor, especially when it purported to have bacon on it, says everything you need to know about the food here. Calling it mediocre is insulting the word. Part of me starts to feel bad but then I remember I was out almost 40 bucks for lame pizza. I grew up stateside and I’ve had Southern California and New York pizza. That is pizza. The worse pizza I’ve had there was better than this. Now I’m just mad again. If I could serve Satan a meal it would be this. Just kidding, well not really. Crap I should have gone anywhere else. Maybe standing outside in the sun will cause me to photosynthesize and it will taste better than this. They get 4 out of 5FAIL stars.
