Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Pick-​up took a little longer than I would have liked, but in their defense, I threw them for a loop by requesting a car an hour earlier than scheduled and I showed up even earlier.
I opted for a standard model for $ 38/​day Canadian. They set me up in a clean, newer model white Toyota Camry my grandmother would probably like, but just after I had signed all the paperwork for it, two girls rolled up to return a bad ass Dodge Charger, which I wanted instead. I inquired about the difference in price to get that and it was about an extra $ 20/​day since they considered that «full size.» Not in my opinion, but whatever.
Overall, no issues. Staff was very courteous and professional. Drop off took about 10 minutes.

The initial rental price seems reasonable, but don’t get too excited, the insurance costs more than the rent. This is where you will be racking up the expenses, should you choose to buy insurance.
I rented a car for 4 weeks, which (with insurance) totaled up to a whopping $ 1,300+. After coughing up this large sum, I stood in the Enterprise office on Queen Street with two large suitcases and a carry on. The representative asked me if I needed a lift anywhere, I told him the airport was where I was headed. He looked at me, looked at my luggage and told me simply, «Sorry, but we can only drop you downtown.» I was baffled. «I AM in downtown… how does this help me?» He shrugged and replied, «Sorry, miss, the best we can do is drop you at a nearby bus stop.»
You would think that after being a renter for an entire month, bringing back the car punctually and in perfect condition and paying over $ 1,300 in rental fees, they would give a woman carrying luggage a lift to the airport. Especially in the winter (this was in February). «Enterprise, we’ll pick you up! But, we will NOT drop you anywhere after we have your money!» They should change their slogan.
Horrid customer service; I will never rent from Enterprise again!

I had a good experience and got a reasonable car for the price. While the facility isn’t first class, the staff were. One highlight was that they let me use their parking at no charge when I needed to be back downtown mid day for a meeting. One suggestion would be to include a windshield scrapper with the rental car, given the weather at the time.
