Amazing food, I’ve ordered nearly everything on the menu and it never disappoints. The women who run the place are friendly and helpful. There was a mistake with one of the orders I picked up once, they gave me someone else’s order, and they immediately sent out the delivery man to drop off my order and refund the 30 cents difference even though I was half in my car to bring it back. That’s real customer service! The Tom Kha soup is fantastic!

I wavered a bit between 3 and 4 stars. The place is very utilitarian. Its basically just for take out and there isn’t anything in the way of décor or ambiance, however it doesn’t pretend to be something its not. My review is written in that vein. We went to pick up food and really enjoyed our meal. We got 4 dishes, 2 apps and 2 containers of steamed rice and it came to $ 80. We could have probably gotten by with one less app but it was basically the right amount of food for 4 people. The fried tofu was not good and the spring rolls were middle of the road. But the beef salad and stir fry dishes were out of this world! Some of the best thai food I have had. Everyone else really like the stir fry and I thought it was good but not amazing. Really the most disappointing thing was the pad thai. It didn’t have a lot of flavour and I thought the noodles were a bit over cooked. All in all I would go back but I would be more selective in what I order.

Best Asian Takeout in the ByWard Market area. When I am having company, you can feed a crowd some great Thai at a reasonable price. Best: Mango Salad and Panang chicken & Green curry!

Champa Thai serves the best authentic Pad Thai in Ottawa(along with Som Tum on Nepean Street). My other favourite dish here is the Tom Kha Soup. If you’re in the mood for Tom Yum Soup and Pad Thai that’s on the sweeter side, with additional lime on the side, I’d suggested Champa Thai. Otherwise, Som Tum restaurant would probably suit your tastes better — the dishes there are also very good, although a bit less sweet(and with no extra lime). Another difference: Champa Thai has chopsticks and Som Tum puts only forks and spoons on the table, unfortunately. Don’t let the somewhat sketchy décor turn you off. For the best bang for your buck, order your food to take out and pick it up yourself. You’ll avoid the delivery fee. There’s very limited seating.

I’ve ordered from Champa Thai a few times when I’ve had no desire to go to either Thai Express or Imperial Palace. Although I wouldn’t say its the best place for Thai in the city, as far as Thai delivery goes I’d say its the best you can get. My favorites are the Champa Thai chicken, the satay chicken and the pad kee mow. The Champa Thai chicken is fried pieces of chicken with a really flavorful curry sauce. The kee mow is spicy noodles with basil and veggies. And the satay chicken is well… Satay chicken, with a really nice peanut sauce. I’d have to agree with Cla S. that it is far too mild. Even when you ask for more spice it is still mild. Thankfully I always have a bottle of sriracha on hand. I also find it to be way too expensive. Its easy to rack up a $ 40 if you’re buying for two people… Compared to a delicious Thai meal for under $ 10 at Thai Express I can’t justify ordering here if the weather is nice out.

**As ordered through The fried spring rolls were really a non-starter(boring), and the sticky rice was dry and yet too sticky(weird), but the curry was pretty good(I selected the Panang Beef, made with coconut milk, green & red peppers and grounded peanut). It wasn’t spicy at all so wish I’d specified more spicy, but it was tasty and made the rice passable. Total bill for these three items + tip + delivery fee was roughly $ 30, far too high for a one-diner-with-no-leftover experience. I RECOMMEND: Ordering to go to make for moderate value. EXTRATIP: Delivery in 20 mins almost earned them a 3star, but I’ve literally experienced way better.

Some of the best Thai food I have eaten outside of Thailand. Everything is delicious(and I have tried almost every dish they have). Friendly service and food is ready quickly. My favourite take out restaurant!

The food was excellent. Best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend the red curry over sticky rice. This is a takeout place with two small tables. Does not have a liquor license. Prices are very reasonable.

Decent value for money. Looks like this place mostly does takeout, but we ate there, enjoying the friendly staff and a bit of risqué décor. The food was ready incredibly fast, less than two minutes from when we placed the order. The mango salad was terrific, the curry was alright, and the pad thai was on the greasy side. At $ 15 per person it was a bit steep for basically fast food, but the two-person meals look like a good deal.
