Service was terrible. Took 15 minutes to get the bill and they didn’t even bring the credit card machine when we asked. They kept us waiting for an additional 10 minutes just for that. We had to go up to the front to pay because we were frustrated. The food was mediocre. Would not recommend the 12oz steak. Half of it was fat, not seasoned properly and overall a very bland steak. Considering the price, I expected better service and better food but at the end of the night, was left with a very bad first impression. The cherry onto was when the TIFF tax. Its a completely voluntary charge that you can remove from the bill but the manager decided not to tell us and charge it anyways. When asked he described it as a «mandatory tax that’s voluntary.»

Terrible service, waiting 10 min for bill, then another 10 min and no one brought the credit card machine. We had to physically go to the front and ask to pay because no one gave us any service. After we had to wait another 10 min for to go container box. Our glass was constantly empty and we were charged a voluntary tiff tax and wasn’t told about it being voluntary. The service was terrible, would not recommend.

Food was average. Service was horrible! Steve was our waiter. After ordering multiple appetizers and drinks. We were ignored the entire dinner. We had to constantly flag him down for everything. He was more interested in serving the tables next to us. We go to up scale casual restaurants weekly and have fine taste. His lost! We are big tippers! Will never go back.

A solid 3.5 stars(but the half isn’t an option) MAKERESERVATIONS! Servers are friendly unless it’s packed then they seem overwhelmed or understaffed. I have been to Remmingtons quite a few times, sometimes with vochers from hotels, sometimes not.(you get the vouchers by purchasing a ‘package dea’ from either the Oaks or the Days Inn Clifton Hill) My husband pretty routinely gets the Prime Rib dinner with mashed potatoes. The plate also comes with vegetables.(Standard steamed carrots, beans etc) the presentation is done nicely, but diminished by the au jus that is poured over everything(meat, veg, potatoes etc) giving everything a ’ nice brown hue’ lol. The pasta here is good. I usually get the chicken penne rustica. The goat cheese in this dish makes all the difference! It’s a hearty meal though so go in hungry! The desserts are usually worth getting one to share, as they have all been very rich! My «beef» with the dessert is: cool whip trying to pass as Chantilly cream. Or this is my assumption. Next to the white chocolate brownie sundae there is a floret of ‘whipped cream’ with a fresh strawberry, naturally at a steak house one assumes a freshly made Chantilly cream garnish would be served. This however is not so. To taste it, it strongly tastes like cool whip which cheapened the whole event.

Delicious food. Waited for 45 minutes with a reservation to be seated. I was not a fan of the manager/busboy/host’s customer service skills and found him to be quite rude. We came in with a groupon for a 3 course meal. The plus, the food was good, we ordered the calamari and the ahi tuna starters. both stellar, but if you mix the sauce from the tuna with the calamari… WOW! For our mains we ordered the bison steaks and they were amazing. I’m a picky mashed potato eater and loved this one. We opted to share our dessert which was fine. Our saving grace was our server. I forgot his name but my goodness, he really made our night so much better.

Came here on a hotel voucher for $ 30 and wasn’t sure which reviews to trust. Personally, I felt that it was price very well for what you get. Though there was not much of a selection, what we had was amazing. Started off with ahi tuna and the fried brie cheese. For the main: fettuccine Primavera and some sort of chicken with a delicious cream sauce. Main portions were more then enough and came out in no time. Service was also great when the waiter wasn’t singing. Highly recommended and will be back! Thanks.

My girlfriend and I came here to Niagara for a quick get a way last night and we arrived late, at 830pm. Most restaurants closed at 930 but Remington’s closed at 11pm. It was really quiet due to almost closing time but let me tell you im a huge steak fan I had the 14oz New York sirloin with mash potatoes and veggies and it was amazing, portions were huge and filling, one of the best steaks I have ever had, the steak was cooked medium the way I like it and it was cooked just perfect and full of flavour. My girlfriend loves pasta, that’s all she ever gets when we go out to eat and she got the chicken penne and she loved it, the sauce wasn’t over powering, the veggies were cooked perfect and the chicken was juicy and a huge portion as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice and elegant, the waitress was really nice she took pictures of us and made sure we were alright, although the service was pretty slow, I will definitely be coming back again. You got to try this place!

We went through a deal with the oakes hotel with a $ 30 voucher. I didn’t look into the restaurant before we got there so before we walked in I was shocked to see a sign that said«the only singing waiters in Niagara Falls!» I immediately started laughing and prepared for an eventful night. We walked in and the waitress is walking around singing«somewhere over the rainbow» tacky. Good voice though! We laughed because we just weren’t prepared. Ordered a beer and the glasses were huge! I ordered the fried calamari and my date ordered a steak. Both of our orders were cooked to perfection! I was really happy with the food we got. Our bill was not ridiculous and the exchange rate was only to our benefit. Great service and friendly waitress. The singing can go though!

Unfortunately they charge guests an extra tax called TIFF(tourist tax) in addition to the HST which they are not allowed to. Ontario tax is 13% not more. Even after telling them that we know that we do not have to pay that additional tax and that it is illegal, they refused to change the check. The waitress treated us like fools which was kind of rude. I wouldn’t go there again. But the food was good.

Happened upon this place and had a great dinner. Stuffed mushroom and bruschetta were great appetizers, would skip the shrimp cocktail next time. The prime rib special was a nice piece of rib for a great price, the filet was a good steak and the grouper with the peach salsa was excellent. The singing waiter and waitress were a nice treat. Much better then any of the chain tourist stuff all over the rest of the area. Would definitely go back.

Found this gem by accident on Sunday-stopped in to get the $ 15.99 prime rib special –absolutely yummy and very nourishing. The waiter was terrific, Our steaks were cooked perfectly, They garnish each plate with a piece of thyme, which was pretty cool. Garlic mashed potatoes were very good, decent amount of food and great price. Will definitely make this our Niagara Falls restaurant for sure! AAAAA+++++:):):):):)

Came just because of the early bird special for the prime rib($ 14.99) and was pretty happy with it. We also got the primevera pasta and I thought it tasted good. Didnt think there was anything special about this place though, so I probably won’t come back. The staff was nice and their singing was thankfully not horrible haha

This place will blow your mind with how good their Steaks are. Do not pass this place up for another tourist death trap. They are worth even to us locals!

Decent Italian food, bad service. First of all, they asked us right off if we had any ‘vouchers or coupons’ which was onvios after reading the reviews that they were phishing if I had a groupon. We didn’t, but why should it matter? It was tacky. We sat at our table for 5 min before the waitress finally came to our table and said, «I’ll be with you in a few minutes»…ugh. After watching her I noted she was the only server waiting on the entire patio of 7 – 8 tables. Where is manager? And why aren’t they helping? We already mentioned to the hostess before we say down that we needed to leave within an hours time to catch our boat. When we repeated this to the waitress, she said«I don’t know’… We offered to order everything at once. She said ok. She then also asked, «Do you have any Groupons?». Rude. I ordered prime rib med and my bf ordered pasta Rustica. We asked to light the candle and the First Lady who was standing by said, «You can ask your waitress when she comes back», after seeing a look of disbelief on my face she offered to ask the waitress for us, only when she did the waitress said«it’s not time». Prime rib came out well done, I told waitress to return it and she refused stating they can have it out again in 3 min… But I thought being in a hurry wasn’t possie here. They brought out another one and it was still not medium. It was barely medium on the outer edges. I did not refute this time bc I refused to deal with it. I then heard the staff conversing aloud within ear shot about seating another taw and she said«No, they’ll have to wait». Inappropriate. Manager came to ask me how everything was after we paid AS I WASWRITINGTHISREVIEW. I asked him what how on earth he could expect good service from a waitress he is slamming with 8 tables and asked where he was the whole time we were dining. This place is lame. The pasta Rustica and garlic bread was good.

Purchased a gourmet Groupon for The Oakes Overlooking the Falls Hotel and it came with a voucher for 2 dinners at Remingtons. This restaurant was actually pretty great and it was a 3 course meal. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The staff doesn’t have beyonce-like voices or anything like that but they can sing alright and it’s entertaining to watch. It was my mother’s birthday and I excused myself from the table to ask my waiter if they could sing happy birthday and take a piece of dessert to the table. They agreed and I was very happy. About 5 minutes later the fire alarm went off. 5 minutes after that it went off again. Then it went off again for the third time. Turns out remingtons rents the locale space from the Days Inn next door and someone kept opening an emergency back door. Niagara Falls Fire Rescue Department arrived and the alarm went off again. Greaaaattttt… The staff also forgot my request. In their attempts to make it right they gave us a crème brûlée on the house. I wanted my mother to be sung happy birthday to man, but thanks for the pity gift I guess.

This restaurant is owned by the Oakes Hotel. So, you’re most likely visiting Remingtons if you have a room at the Oakes. Not a bad thing — let’s prepare you for the shuttle ride to and from the restaurant; runs every 20 minutes and is a supremely old minivan. Now that we are past that bit, let’s move on to the more restaurant-y things. Service: The greeters and servers don’t sing, so the ads that shout out«Canada’s Only Singing Servers» are all lies! They are, however, polite and friendly and may burst into a song if you ask nicely… but I can’t guarantee this. Didn’t see it happen. Interior: Intimate, cozy, stone-finished walls, dim lighting — like an upscale cottage in the wild but not really. Food/Value: Skip it all and go to the back of the menu. There’s an Option A and an Option B — three course meals for $ 69.99. This is your best value; includes starter(salad or bruschetta), steak(few options) and dessert(tartufo or crème brûlée). Breakdown: Caesar Salad — Small portion, good starter Bruschetta — Pretty good Prime Rib Steak(Medium-rare) — Cooked to perfection. Perfect for someone who enjoys a well-marbled steak, such as myself. It came with my ordered side, wild rice. New York Striploin Steak(Medium-rare) — Disappointing. My boyfriend had to send it back once because it was well-done. They took forever to bring another plate out, and when they did, it still wasn’t a perfect medium-rare. Tartufo — dark chocolate goodness, this was my boyfriend’s choice of dessert and probably the most enjoyable part of the meal. Crème Brulee — I am a crème brûlée fan and this was delicious as usual. Verdict? Despite that New York Striploin, I’d come back. My Prime Rib was delish!

We made reservations for 8PM on a Monday night. Parking is in the back, you have to go through the tunnel and get to their underground parking spaces because the higher levels are apparently for the hotel guest parking. Remingtons is very close to Clifton Hills, as well as the casino, and Captain Jacks arcade. Upon entering Remington’s, we found a lot of unique décor and antlers on the lighting fixtures. Nice. We waited a while to finally be seated behind the fireplace in the middle of the restaurant, but hidden by a wall of tree branches that overlook the bar. We had our hotel dinner vouchers for 1 entrée &1 appetizer per person, with a complimentary dessert as well. For appetizers, we had the beef prime rib soup and the cesaer salad, and entrees were the special prime rib, and the new york strip loin. for an extra $ 9, we upgraded our prime rib to 16 oz and the strip loin to 14 oz. I was disappointed with the prime rib soup. the salad tasted better. The strip loin was very very good. Ate it with horse radish because I couldn’t get the A-1 sauce to come out of the bottle no matter what. Prime rib was HUGE, we were shocked how thick and big it was. Very tasty. I enjoyed my strip loin more though, bc I’m a steak lover. The free dessert was just enough, because we couldn’t fit anymore food. We also had after dinner coffee’s. I recall myself having to waddle out of there because I became a stuffed turkey. Our waitress was singing halfway through our meal. Beautiful voice, and very friendly. Great customer service.

In our short time in Niagara, we found ourselves at Remingtons twice. In fact, the the restaurant has been renamed to Remingtons of Niagara. The first time was the evening after we arrived in town and walked over from one of the nearby bed and breakfasts. Shortly after the dinner crowd on a Friday night, we sat at the bar. Over drinks, the knowledgeable staff(Dom the manager!) was awesome and friendly who gave us ideas of things to do in Niagara and in Toronto. We learned that the each staff has a second talent of singing where through the evening each would take turns to sing and entertain patrons. Good times. The second time, we arrived for dinner. Like our time at the bar a few days earlier, the staff was very friendly and prompt and moving expeditiously as the restaurant was very full with locals and busloads of tourists. Thankfully we had reservations made from the night before. The lamb and steak was cooked deliciously. I’m not sure why all the low reviews in the other reviews carry a tone of entitlement. The one concern was I asked for«sidecar», a classic cocktail of cognac, cointreau and lemon juice, or at least this version I prefer had was. Sadly, it wasn’t up to par, but still drinkable. Other drinks and singing staff made up the small oversight. Thanks Remingtons! When we’re in town again, we’ll be back.
