Some of the previous reviews crack me up. This is the Rainforest Café in NIAGARAFALLS. If you’re expecting a gourmet meal at a reasonable price you will be disappointed. If you’re expecting an awesome place to bring your children at NIAGARAFALLS prices you will enjoy it. The food is good, the service is good and it’s fun for kids. Go in with proper expectations.

I’m not sure why other Unilocalers are rating so low based on food quality? No one, at any RFC in the world, would be going there for a gourmet dining experience? You go because you have kiss, young or old, who get a kick out of the atmosphere, the aquariums, the animals, the light-up/souvenir cups, and especially THEVOLCANO!(A massive dessert that is presented with a chorus of «volcano» callers!) If you ordered a steak and are disappointed, that’s your fault. I will give them props for friendly, fast service,(we ate at 2:00pm… If you came at peak lunch or dinner hours at Niagara Falls, the family capital of the world, this is also your fault), and I especially applaud the vegan choices. (2 of 4 of us are vegan) The Nature Burger is very tasty,(veggie patty of beans and mushrooms), and came with fries for $ 12USD. I’m not sure how much less someone thinks they can get that at any tourist destination? No complaints on price from me. The tall, light up souvenir cups of soda are $ 9USD, which again, is what you’re going to pay if you’re taking the glass home with you. Another in our party ordered the fish and chips, which was too big for her to finish and about average for a fast food place. The photographer took a few table shots and they came out really well. The first one is free but I loved them all and bought four for $ 22USD because it’s my daughters birthday.(These pics are optional but if it’s a special occasion and it’s busy, ask the server to make sure he stops by) We had a great time here and would return again if the kids were with us. bbb

The drink were too sweet and overpriced. And the food was not authentic and not very fresh.

You pay for the jungle experience and not the food, don’t expect much in food quality.

Great atmosphere. Lots of fun for the family. Good drinks. Had to wait a bit to get seated but it was busy and in July. Had a great appetizer artichoke dip.

This was the first Rainforest Café I went to, and it was a great experience! We were there for Canada Day, and it was the perfect time! The atmosphere was perfect, the food was great, and the prices were great for a teenager. Yes, it was years ago that I was there, but I still remember it and loved it so I wanted to write this review. People are making comments about the current wait staff and things like that, and since it has been a while since I was there I cannot comment on those things.

If you’re in to eating really bland, dry, and overcooked food that will cost around $ 100 for two, this is the place for you! Yes the atmosphere and decorations are great for kids. Yes the aquarium is impressive. But, if I want to see animals, I’ll go to the zoo. I ordered the«signature dish» which was linguine with sausage, shrimp, chicken, and a Cajun sauce. If I can’t taste the difference between the sausage, shrimp, or chicken, that’s a problem. We ordered a hot dog for our daughter who will eat anything – especially hot dogs. She took two bites of the hot dogs and refused to eat any more. We ordered two adult meals and a kid’s hot dogs(no drinks, no apps, nothing). That was ~$ 100!!! Insane. I know Clifton Hill is expensive, but we had essentially the same meal at Boston Pizza for about a third of the price. Honestly, save yourself $ 100 and an hour of your life. Just walk through with your kid and you’ll thank yourself later.

My boyfriend and I stopped by this place to check it out and have a drink. The decorations are super cool and the stools around the bar make it look like you have an animal butt which I thought was pretty neat. My boyfriend said it looked like a bar meant for kids and was not as impressed. I had a drink called Smiley’s Sharknip. It was good but it cost like 10 $ and barely had any alcohol in it. This place it cool to go check out while in Niagara Falls but it is super expensive for the quality that you get I recommend it just for one drink to check out the atmosphere and that’s it.

4 of us went there. One ordered a chicken breast sandwich. They had a big roll with a half of one breast on it cut long ways in half. Its about a ¼ «thick and 3» long. It was $ 11.99 once we complained they brought out a full breast piece but i never have seen such a small piece lost on a roll. I have eaten at this franchise before but not impressed. I won’t be back.

Really this place is only getting two stars because of the decorations and the neat lighting effects. If you are going here to get a good meal– that is not wise. This Rainforest Café is located in the busy downtown Niagara Falls area and not too far of a walk from the actual falls. It is nudged between a gift shop, a beer restaurant, and I think inside a hotel building –but there are a few decorations outside so you may or may not miss it. When we arrived to celebrate my daughter’s birthday lunch there was a 30 minute wait. There are no seats available inside this location to wait, so you have to either sit outside or wait inside the gift shop or at the bar. Inside the gift shop there is nice sized aquarium with cool looking fish and a shark. My daughter really enjoyed finding all the different fish and this kept her attention for a while(the majority of our wait time). After 30 minutes our buzzard buzzed and we were escorted to our seat. Our seat was just a couple tables from the bathroom, which I hate sitting near the bathroom but there was no oder so we made it work. For all the decorations the Rainforest puts into their franchise, the chairs and seats are pretty basic. I only saw a couple of booths but I guess you had to have a large party or a reservation to sit there. When we sat down it was time for the«thunderstorm”– this happens every 30 minutes and the top of the forest ceiling looks like it is lightening and you feel like you are actually outside in a rainforest and like its going to rain any moment. My daughter was really scared at first but then she realized it wasn’t real(after the second lightening). They have fake monkeys, elephants, and snakes hanging from the tree vines and families are encouraged to go take a look and take a look and take pictures if they want. After a few minutes the waitress came and took our drink order. I ordered the Mount Daiquiri of Strawberry, which tasted like very good strawberry smoothie. Although the flavor was very good I could not taste any alcohol and did not feel a thing after drinking it. They have a few other specialty drinks and you can order specialty shots as well. When I was reviewing the food menu, I wasn’t really impressed with the options and the prices were kind of ridicules to me. I ended up ordering fish and chips, my husband got a burger, my daughter ordered the kids pasta alfredo and my dad ordered one of their spicy pasta dishes. We waited for 30 minutes our more for our food and I ended up having to ask the waitress how much longer it would be a couple of times. My fish stick tasted like some frozen fish stick you could get from your local grocery store and place in the oven. Not impressed. And my French fries were cold. My husband said he his burger tasted ok but not that great. My daughter’s pasta barely had any alfredo sauce on it and it came out luke warm. We had to ask and wait for a while for additional sauce. The sauce slowly but surely came out. The pasta was not good and tasted like they took cheese sauce out a can and heated it up. My dad said his spicy pasta tasted ok but it came out cold. Overall, like I said the decorations are cool and that’s what you seem to be paying for. The food did not hit the mark at all.

We came to this restaurant because they had ½ off appetizers from 10pm until closing time. We ordered wings & the soup of the day, which was Italian Wedding. The service was super slow, the wings were bland and tasteless. The soup tasted like they were from a can. Avoid this place if you want good food!

If you would like to sweat your butt off and want to eat in a «rainforest» atmosphere, and want a waitress that is dripping with sweat — go here ! This place is awesome besides the fact that in the summer it’s about 100 degrees. Yup — no air conditioning! When I asked about the heat, the waitress apologized and said it’s always hot in there. We were walking around In 85 degree weather all day and was SO excited to sit and have a nice relaxing dinner. Nope. I was holding my draft beer on my forehead in attempt to cool down. We were literally dripping with sweat. Our bill was $ 200 too !(For 2 adults and 4 kids) We got a rib eye steak dinner, steak sandwiches and fries, and kids meals. Food was average. Light — up drink cups were super cool. We got the«volcano» dessert which comes with a sparkler. its delicious! Overall, expensive and hotter than the surface of the sun!!!

We have waited the food for almost 1hours, but the waitress was nice and friendly. Where we seat were to close the front door, I did not really feel I was in the rainforest. I think they should ask where we like to seat. The food is acceptable. 4 of us paid $ 110 for 3 dishes.

As a Rochester native we used to visit Canada a lot before you needed a passport to cross the border. During my most recent visit to Rochester my boyfriend and I decided to make the drive to the Falls for the day. I remember Clifton Hill being the«place to be» so we walked along the strip for a bit in search of a place to eat. He had eaten at a Rainforest Cafè before but it was my first time. When explaining it to my mom the best way I could describe it was a Chuckee Cheese on steroids but without the arcade games. There is a rainforest atmosphere along with moving animals and dim lighting. There are even lights in the ceiling that are supposed to have a starry effect. The lighting was not a problem for us but I could see it being an issue for others possibly when it comes to reading the menu. The servers even have a uniform that resembles one of a safari tour guide. Every 30 minutes there was a «rainstorm simulation» with noises of a rainstorm. It definitely has a rainforest feel minus the actual getting wet part. This place definitely caters to children and tourists. It’s a fun atmosphere. If you’re looking for a fine dining experiencing you’ll definitely want to keep it moving past the rainforest. However the service was speedy and efficient. I ordered the fish and chips while my boyfriend had some type of jambalaya dish. We both enjoyed our meals. I also tried a strawberry daiquiri which was delicious but I’m not sure how much alcohol it actually had in it. There was a photographer who took our picture and informed us that one print was complimentary. Besides the one complimentary photo he took a few extra shots that could be purchased 1 for $ 15 or 2 for $ 20. Since we were pleased with the photos we bought 2. Overall I enjoyed the rainforest café experience and would definitely recommend it to others whether in Niagara Falls or one of their other locations.

Before we left the Clifton Hill area to explore the falls, my family and I stopped into the Rainforest Café for lunch. The restaurant was nearly empty during our Friday afternoon visit, so we were seated right away. I’ve been to other locations before, but this was the first time our four and two year old children would experience this restaurant attraction. We were seated fairly close to the group of animatronic elephants, which would make all sorts of noise every ten minutes or so. There were also a group of gorillas doing the same thing, as well as a choreographed thunderstorm every half hour. Needless to say, the kids were entertained throughout the meal. I ordered the misty mountain chicken club with Cajun chicken, bacon, jalapeño jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato on toasted ciabatta. This comes served with coleslaw and choice of kettle chips or fries($ 16.99). Overall the sandwich was good and the side of chips was enough for our entire table. My wife had the China island chicken salad with potato sticks, rice noodles, sesame seeds, and Mandarin oranges with a signature dressing($ 16.99). This was one of the better salads we’ve had recently and the serving size was plentiful with a full grilled chicken breast on top. Our kids enjoyed the three amigos mini hot dogs, served with either fries of veggies($ 7.99). The price is a little high, but it is inline with the inflated entrée prices that come with the tourist destination and the ambiance of the jungle themed restaurant. Overall it was a solid lunch and paying extra to have the kids entertained throughout the meal is often worth it.

This is a pretty cool place to bring the kids, however, I was kids free on this trip. I was at the Rainforest Café in Downtown Disney 3 weeks ago, so I was hoping for the same experience(meal)… However, the food option was different and I ordered the panko breaded talapia with rice and vegetables. The meal, was OK, nothing specials and it was nothing like my rather tasty version from Orlando, which didn’t have breading on it. The décor and layout was very similar to the one in Orlando, along with the cool rainforest animals and sound effects.

I had supper this evening at the Rainforest Café … I’d never been to one so thought I’d check it out. You have to go through the store to get to the restaurant. I walked around the restaurant. There were lots of fake animals and birds(some were animated) . I was told there was a ten minute wait if I wanted to sit in the restaurant or I could sit at a table in the bar right away … I chose the bar. As I was walking around the restaurant, I’d noticed the restaurant was about a third-full. When I questioned Allison, my server(who was the bartender), why the wait if there were lots of seats, she said it was a staffing issue … there were only three servers on the floor and they had a waiting time so the servers could keep up. I asked why they just don’t have more staff and she said it’s hard to gauge how busy they’ll be in a day. Fair enough but if you tell people there is a wait, they may go elsewhere(there is no shortage of restaurants in the area). I ordered Chicken Fried Chicken, minus the veggies(so they gave me extra potatoes). It wasn’t great. The chicken was overdone and dry, the potatoes were a bit cold and the gravy was warm with a film on top. It definitely wasn’t worth $ 22.99! Allison took good care of me. I’m glad I tried the Rainforest Café but I won’t be back.
