Great breakfast! Seriously! What more does one need. .endless good coffee and I had Waffle Benny. Perfectly done. Restaurant was packed but the waitress still had a smile on her face and was super. If you’re thinking about breakfast or brunch don’t pass this place up. Cheers!

Such a classic! You’ll be hard pressed to not like this place. It’s full of seniors! Seriously, can this place get any cuter?! It’s a old school diner, offering solid renditions of tried and true classics: waffles, french toast, club sandwiches, the like. Nothing out of the ordinary, but solid eats nonetheless. The waffles are quiet good. Light, crispy, and fluffy! It’s always packed with locals, which is always a good sign!

$ 11 for waffle bennies! Average pricing but from a family that has made waffles for 60 years. And have you ever tried a waffle benny? Check it out. Good space, fast service, and completely unpretentious. Not great but still pretty good. Try it

I always come here with my girlfriend for lunch. We are usually hands down the youngest people in the place, as the local seniors crowd loves it. But the food is good and reasonably priced, even if the service is a little lacklustre. They have great breakfasts and I enjoyed my strawberry waffle with whipped cream despite the negative reviews they seem to be getting.

I must have come on a good day because my waffle was hot and delicious! I ordered the strawberry waffle with whipped cream and although they were frozen strawberries and they used whipped cream from a can(who makes real whipped cream?) the waffle was deliciously sweet and a little eggy too, which shows that the waffle was freshly made. And it was an absolute steal for $ 7.99. Coffee was good too. Our waitress had amazing purple eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick. Awesome!

I live in the neighbourhood, and really was hoping it was good. But was extremely disappointed. Nothing to like in this place. Way below average food.

Went here with my wife on a Saturday morning. Breakfast took forever. Probably the longest wait I’ve had at a IHOP– 35 min. Waffles were burnt and eggs were cold. Service and food was horrible. I would not come back to this location.

We sat down and«Boom» coffee. We asked for water and«boom» another server turned around and handed us water. Just ate a big arse breakfast. Waffles have a buttload o blueberries in it. Drank unlimited coffee and had super nice servers. We will be back for sure! Great value too.

This is a standard, unspectacular breakfast place. The food was fine, the service ok. but nothing to write home about. With all the great places to have breakfast in New Westminster we wouldn’t go out of our way to eat here again. Don’t get us wrong, it’s not terrible, just very unmemorable…

Barely. If it wasn’t for its amazing $ 7.99 breakfast special: 2 of everything, which I didn’t finish plus it was just average. Call it the no-name of Denny’s, with less décor. While spacious, the service was lacking. Saw a customer get up from the table and asked the manager at front if anyone was working lol. Just don’t get confused if this is a dessert place lol. Not a date material place to go.

I really wanted to like this place and find a 5 star experience but sadly my rating mimics the others. I came here ’cause the guy I am dating recently moved to the area and the place and the idea of a waffle house sounded cool. This place really should be called the awful house. The waffles were so so. Your butter is served in a paper cup, they used the store bought pressure pump whip cream, syrup is served in packets not in a jug or jar. It is mostly seniors and it has a dinner feel to it but not in the charming way. I went to the bathroom and noticed that their dessert pies were all pre-bought in packages from the grocery store. Food was slow. My BF’s waffle dinner was already 2⁄3 done by the time mine came.

Always a perfect breakfast/brunch spot! Consistent, clean, prompt, friendly and really good food! I’ve eaten all of their breakfasts and it is my Dad’s favorite restaurant to go to.(He is 90!). If you are looking for the best waffles in town and a seat at the busy time, this is your spot. A New West institution! Love it!

Solid breakfast, but pricey when compared to the other options in the area(Amelia’s, 6th Street Grill). Unfortunately I didn’t have a waffle because I had a waffle for dessert the night before(I’m not kidding)… so I guess I’ll have to go back to see what the fuss is about.

I have held a Weekly Wednesday morning business networking group here since January 2009 and the staff at the Waffle House always help make our morning. The service is always friendly and they have a good assortment of breakfast specials, the omelettes are great and we always enjoy our meetings. The owner Robert and his staff treat us very well and we look forward to our weekly meeting.

I go back to the waffle house again and again… and again! Favourite item on the menu is the raspberry filled waffle. Also love hashbrowns and fried tomatoes. The food has a great home cooked feel. I love that the butter comes in a cup and not as a glob on my waffle so I can decide not to use any if I want. Far superior to IHOP. The owner(?) is always friendly. Service for me has never been slow as for other reviewers… and for the most part the servers are polite and pleasant.

A decent breakfast establishment. The place is huge, so it can fit large groups. I believe there is a gratuity charge though, it says on the menu. The food is not as bad as I thought, but the service is extremely sub par though. To be honest, the price is steep for breakfast food, but if you choose the special combos they have, there are a large quantity of food on your plate though… I love their waffles though. OFCOURSE, it’s called the WAFFLEHOUSE! DERP! The waffles are unique as the ruffles are smaller than usual waffles but the surface area is a lot larger though. It is fluffy, but there is a bit of a crunch in it. Very similar to crepes… Anyways, overall the place is not bad, decent 3 stars is all this place deserves anyways… :P

This is the best breakfast joint in New West. It’s greasy spoon that isn’t actually greasy. *DISCLAIMER* I can’t speak for anything on the menu except for the breakfast items. As the restaurant name suggests their specialty is Waffle’s so that’s what I suggest you get. They don’t mess around with the waffles either. They’re about the size of a large dinner plate, not too thick, just a little sweet with a crispy outside and a soft middle. If you feel like splurging, substitute the hot raspberry or hot blueberry waffle for the plain one. You won’t regret it at all. The coffee here is passable, but I don’t mind since there are plenty of good coffee houses around. There is also a big selection of tea’s if coffee isn’t your thing. The quality of food here is always consistent(unlike the service which ranges from fast and friendly to slow and surly). If you’re in the NW and feel like a waffle, forget IHOP and go here instead.

Probably one of my fav places for breakfast in the city. Its not greasy or oil, yet leaves you satisfied in terms of a delicious breakfast. The waffle is light and slightly sweet. I wish it were a bit fluffier, but it was still really good. I’ve tried their regular waffle, and their waffle with raspberry mixed into the batter. The raspberries add a tartness to the waffle which is a nice change. I don’t like to put anything on my waffles — usually only some butter. Here I didn’t need to put anything at all due to the sweetness already in the batter. I’ve tried their sausages and bacon. Both cooked well and not too greasy. The eggs are decent. My only problem is with their hash browns. They were not cooked enough the times I’ve been there. Maybe its time to try out their panfries instead. Service is unhurried. Not fast, not slow either. I usually spend 30 — 45 minutes here depending on how fast I decide on what to eat! I’ve already been here a couple times and definitely will be back for more. I’m curious about their lunch and dinner menus. The dessert card on the table looks scrumptious.

Ever since I read Al R.‘s review a few days ago, I’ve been craving waffles. Not French toast. Not pancakes. A big crispy golden waffle the size of a plate, with plenty of butter and syrup on it. And that’s exactly what a Jiffy-Wiffy waffle is all about.(Yeah, I have to say the name. Maybe if I look in the mirror and say it three times it will appear.) The menu is a little uneven — how much you enjoy the Waffle House depends on what you order. As far as I’m concerned, when you visit the Waffle House, stick with the waffles. And possibly bacon. The Eggs Benny came with some sort of weird coloured Hollandaise sauce and the hash browns were a cold, tasteless, undercooked mess. If I wasn’t in a waffle coma, though, I might have rolled the dice on some mango cheescake, rice pudding or Jello for dessert.

When you call yourself a waffle house you should be prepared to serve some really good waffles. Unfortunately the waffles are just ok, not bad but not great. That aside, everything else aside from the waffles were delicious so don’t go in there expecting the worlds best waffles.
