I agree with all of you fellow Unilocalers who review this place. I will strongly believe this is probably one of the best phở restaurants in New Westminster. Trust me, I’ve tried ALL the others here in my hometown and this has yet to be beaten! The broth is on point and you get a reasonable portion for under $ 9. I personally always order #9 which includes the damn good everything stuff which makes you salivate. :p So come on down if you’re in New West and that lil’ phở angel is tugging on your hair to quench it’s hunger for… PHO!

Phở was nice. I’ve had better phở, but the broth was good and the ingredients fresh. The rice noodles were a bit on the chewy side. My partner had two Vietnamese subs and enjoyed them. Bread was nice and fresh, but the peanut sauce was a bit lacking. Staff was attentive and service quick. Overall a 3.5 star experience.

tried it yesterday for the first time and the soup is really good, a lot better than our usual spot. The deep fried spring rolls were also good and friendly staff. I would definitely go back. I think we found our new go to phở place in new west.

Decent enough phở, friendly service, fairly priced. Would go again. I had the spicy noodle soup, and my wife had a grilled pork vermicelli. We had he salad rolls to start. The food was fresh tasting an served fairy rapidly. The one notable thing was they actually served our salad rolls as an appetizer, as we requested. We find that a lot of Vietnamese restaurants will not do this, and serve all the dishes together.

Not earth-shatteringly-good, but Truly Solid phở in New West. The more I go the more I like it. Banh mi is also fresh and yummy and rather than a dressing of pâté, they use a honey mustard-esque dressing. Definitely better than Maxima. Service has also always been good.

These guys have really good soup base. It actually tastes like beef broth, not something canned or packaged. But I don’t think these guys studied portion control much, some days you get a mass of noodles in your Phở, sometimes very few, every once in a while, a double serving of meat. Still, the staff are good, it’s cheap and decent food. I have to take except to anyone who thinks the«ambiance» isn’t up to standards. Hello, it’s a cheap place to eat in New Westminster, if you didn’t get that part. Table linens? Now that’s funny, the table linens looked tired at that restaurant I spent $ 6 at… disgusting… so I didn’t tip… Anyway, for future diners, I think they disappeared the linen.

I’ve been here twice. Both times I had phở and spring rolls. Both times they were tasty. Rarely does anyone go to a phở place for the décor so I don’t think there’s any point criticizing the colour of the walls or furniture. Service was friendly and prompt both times.

Came here for the bubble tea so I can’t really comment on food. I ordered a coconut milk bubble tea, the menu said it was«real fruit and seasonal so I assumed there would be real coconut milk since that’s what the menu claimed, the bubble tea was made quite fast and service was good(hence my generous one star) and as I walked out I took a sip and it tasted like powder, I was pretty dissapointed about this false advertising. Will not be back for bubble tea at least. xx

This is the type of place to go for no frills, good tasting food. It looks like a typical little diner, nothing fancy by any means, but the food is good. I like their Phở and used to like their Chinese food but they’ve recently stopped serving Chinese food and now only have Vietnamese food. Not a place to take a date to impress, unless they’re impressed by you being frugal, but the food is good for the price.

My reviews are usually pretty elaborate and detailed. But I’m going to keep this one short. I ordered a bahn mi. What I got was not even close to a bahn mi; it was like a deli sandwich from Pricesmart. Oh, the humanity…

The atmosphere here leaves much to be desired… The paint on the walls is chipped, the table linens look tired on their best day, and the staff are rather indifferent. The food is what you’d expect for the prices… not worth more then five or ten bucks a plate, and not much on the menu is priced beyond the $ 7-$ 10 range. I don’t mind this place on occasion, mainly because it’s cheap and within walking distance to my place, but I’m generally not a huge fan of places that serve a variety of ethnic foods — pick Chinese, or Vietnamese, and perfect one, as opposed to doing both half-assed. When this place first opened it was quite promising. The staff were enthusiastic, the food was relatively good, and they had bubble tea, which is practically unheard of in this area of New West. Lately however, the bubble tea has a weird powdery consistency with big chunks of ice, the food has lost it’s flavor, and whenever I’ve been in on a weeknight, there are kids watching tv and doing homework or coloring or whatever kids do… I’d imagine these are probably a staff member’s children, and while I have no problem with them being in the restaurant, when your server takes your order, and then sits down to help kids with their homework, I feel more like I’m intruding on someone’s living room than I am dining in a restaurant. I’ve dropped in on a few occasions craving a taro bubble tea, only to be informed by the waitress that the ‘bubble tea lady’ isn’t in, and therefore, they aren’t serving it that night. Really??? A staff member dedicated exclusively to bubble tea? I didn’t realize making a smoothie could be so complicated.

Eat first before you come here for a bowl of noodle soup. Previous to this place I wasn’t aware Phở could be considered an appetizer for the rest of the meal but that was my portion sized. The folks that run the joint are nice enough, but clearly not Vietnamese either and I understand it must be a struggle to run a restaurant like this in this off the corner location where the previous restaurant incarnation was a faux chinese joint that was run to the ground. Still it’s no excuse for ghetto downtown Eastside portion sizes.
