The hubby and I have been on the search for a unique coffee table… we had been looking at all the typical spots like Ikea, Nood, EQ3… just about all the furniture store in town… but with no luck. So…we started to hit up all the second hand and antique places… New West’s Front Street is a treasure trove of great places to find some hidden gems… all the stores are full of a mix of goods. from from early colonial to mid-century to 80’s crap and every other era imaginable… We had just about given up when we stumbled upon 2 marble topped side tables. we have a sectional and thought that if placed together could make a sweet and unique coffee table… at $ 75 a piece there were a pretty good deal. but…being a penny pincher these days we asked of we could get a better price for taking both.well.my hubby asked as I am the WORST at haggling. Lucky for us the owner was great about it and let us have the pair for $ 100! Total steal and a great find… We love them. they look great in our space… the hubby sprayed out the bases to make them a little more modern. bright yellow… I know. I was skeptical at first too but they look amazing… like something Infrom would sell for $ 5000… Yay for great finds and great deals. we will be back again for sure!

This antique shop specializes in furniture, and they have some really lovely pieces of teak and mid-century Danish design pieces. A low slung, armless chair upholstered in a pink nubbie fabric caught my eye, as did a Danish design dining set with six of those classic chairs with the low backs and pale pink upholstered seats. This store is packed with all kinds of neat furniture, as well as some jewelry and pottery, and there’s a mezzanine level with even more chairs, bedside tables, chests, and lamps. The prices weren’t too bad either — if you’re making a trip to New West for antiquing, check this one out.
