The food tasted good but that was about it. Waiter was friendly but he forgot to put in our appetizer order as our entrees came first. Funny how we got our appetizer plates though. He asked us if we still wanted the calamari appetizer. We said no. If I were the restaurant like any other first class establishment I would bring out the appetizer anyways on the house given they made the mistake. While the food tasted good the portions were really small. We thought a half rack of ribs was enough for a 10 year kid who doesn’t eat much and that by ordering the full rack we thought we can do some sharing but he cleaned off his plate with no problem. I noticed that they serve their entrees on smaller than usual plates. I suspect visually they are trying to make it seem like you are being served a full plate and that their portions are larger than they really are. In terms of value at this price point, go spend your money elsewhere.

I don’t usually writte a review but I have to warn others about the food hazards at this location. My wife ordered ribs with a side of a baked potato, daughter got chicken fingers and I got a medium rare prime rib with mash. The potato was old and chewy. It also had a light mold on the side. I could not see the red color on the prime rib because it was covered with so much gravy. After speaking to the server she replaced the baked potato with a mash potato. But left it as a trophy in the middle of the table until bill time. I asked her about the prime rib and she replied that’s how we serve them here. I than asked her if she would eat it and she laugh and said nope. I requested to speak to the manager, she came and I explained that not only was the potato old and a hazard for people but also the prime rib I have ordered was old a simply did not taste like meat but a soup of gravy. She argue with me for about 60 seconds explain all potatoes are cooked in the morning. I asked her to feel it and taste she than jammed her fingers and long fake plastic nails on the old potato and said it was perfect. I simply replied you should not be in the managing position if this food js goof for a lady who is expecting a child. She did not even say sorry but argue with us until we left. This place has lost its art in cooking. It’s sad to see such a good place to go so bad. Not only the food is bad but the place stinks like sewage. You need to call chef ramsay and get your ass handed to you.

The waiter was friendly and it was dead so the service was great. Unfortunately, the ribs were bad. They were tough and stuck to the bone, which I think is unacceptable from a rib place. Next time I’m at West Edmonton mall I’ll go anywhere else but here!

Worst Tony Roma’s in Edmonton. We order the the ribs(Ribs were edible at least) Sirloin and grilled veges, came out looking like pre-chewed meat on a salad with a few veges. I asked the waitress for garlic butter on the side, thinking i was getting roasted vegetables. So I exchanged this for a salmon and veges. Had i know i would be getting dry Salmon and frozen vegetables, I would have just drank water. I took 4 bites of the plate. At the end of the night the waitress asked if I wanted it boxed up I said no. She didn’t even bother to ask if anything was wrong. Paid a 70 $ bill for food I didn’t even eat. Never going back to the WEM Tony Roma’s.

Stopped in here for lunch after a day of shopping. The food was ok, just ok. This place used to be really good, I think it could use a menu overhaul and some redecorating if it’s going to last. On the upside! We ordered this fabulous little martini trio and it was wonderful. I’d recommend just popping in for that.

The chicken was dry and had no flavour. The ribs tastes disgusting it was like they haven’t clean the grill, therefore the ribs had a weird taste. My ribs were slightly burned making it taste even worse. The coleslaw just tasted like chopped up cabbage with mayo, no flavour. The fries were alright tried better… The chicken was the only thing I could finish I left the rest I just left. Waste of money.

I went there a few months ago, ordered a steak… the food came with a huge hair on it… my server was nowhere to be seen… so i called anoher server… that looked at me with the worst face ever… didnt say anything after i said that there was a hair on my plate and just left with a very bad face. After, the manager came to apologize. but still after the bad manners from that server… i dont have any plans of coming back… and i tell everyone i know about what happened so they wont go there.

You can’t visit west Edmonton mall without at least stopping for something to eat either at the food court or bourbon street, in my case as I was showing my overseas around, we decided to stop into Tony Roma’s as my one friend from Sydney recognized it from their home city. Myself and my two friends were greeted promptly and taken to our table in the back corner of the restaurant, I found it to be quite a quiet spot which is refreshing considering most other restaurants I’ve been to on Bourbon were quite loud. Upon sitting we were greeted by our soft spoken server who took our drink orders and left, the service from the server was prompt and receptive, refills were given promptly. I settled for a Roma Burger and it was delicious, my friends had ribs and a salad and they seemed equally satisfied. Overall it was a good experience, albeit my food was a little cold hence the 3 star rating, but I’d probably give it another shot sometime in the future.

After having a great Valentines Day dinner with my hunny at the Londonderry location I jumped at the opportunity to hit up Tony Roma’s at WEM and see if the experience would measure up with that of the other location. While we were standing at the front waiting for the hostess we both commented on the fact that the dining room area is HUGE. If you need a bite to eat while in the mall and you happen to be visiting during a busier time like the weekend this is probably your best bet for getting a table right away. If you are looking to dine during a more quiet time however this has the potential to become annoying. The hostess sat us far away from the other tables in our section which doubled the waitresses travel times anytime somebody requested something of her which in turn made everyone else’s wait a bit longer. In terms of the food we both had riblings and we both found them fabulous. I just don’t think you can make ribs at home that are as good as the ones you can find at Tony Roma’s. The sauce is of course to die for and the meat literally falls right off the bone. The coleslaw and beans that come on the side were tasty as well. I am quite certain that there are extra spices in their baked beans that make them stand out from other restaurants. All in all it was a great experience and I am finding myself becoming a huge fan of this chain!

One of my worst experiences ever! The burger was smelling, the waitress never showed up after getting the order, the fries were too salty, etc. I still feel bad in my stomach after 5 hours!

I really liked the service here. Our waiter was quick with iced tea which I REALLY appreciated as I was ahem… dehydrated. I’ve seen comments here about waiting forever to get our bills. I’m starting to think they do that on purpose. Like they don’t want customers to feel like they’re being booted out, or maybe you’ll change your mind about dessert. I personally didn’t mind. Unfortunately, I found the food and the presentation pretty pricey for being so boring. When my beef short rib came, I was going to take a picture, but decided it didn’t warrant pulling my phone out of my purse. I don’t know, the food was just sort of… whatever. I know I ate most of it, and I was pretty hungry, but the flavors weren’t memorable. What WAS memorable is that the meat was fork tender, and that is what bumped this review to a 3.5.

We thought this place had good food for the price. I think if you are looking for genuine anything you should go elsewhere. They serve some tasty ribs for a decent price. Not the best ribs/bbq I have ever had but I also would not expect that from Tony Romas. To me, they are not upscale but simply a nice family restaurant and their prices reflect that. I was surprised to hear the negative comments about service as we thought our server — Michi — was one of the best servers we have had in years at any restaurant. If you go, asked to be put in her section!

Would not come back to this location. I always wondered why it was one of the least busy restaurants on Bourbon Street amd now I know why. The hosting staff don’t seem to want to be bothered by people wanting to be seated at a table. The male server we had could not remember anyones order, nor came back to check on our large table. The kids at our table did not get their entire meal either. My food(caesar salad and gyoza dumplings) was edible, but I think it was because I was so hungry. I finished the salad, that I’m sure had Kraft dressing on it but couldn’t eat the gyoza dumplings. I’m not sure if they were cooked properly but the veggies inside were raw, unflavorful and crunchy. I honestly just can’t get over the shear lack of customer service and what really grinds my gears is that we already get charged a 15% gratuity because of a larger group. Completely not worth it in my mind.

Our waitress was nice. It simply isn’t her fault that this place does not even approach genuine Italian cuisine. They don’t even offer freshly ground black pepper. My veg linguine pasta was so-so and everybody else also felt meh about their mains. Nope. Not coming back.

The food is great and the service is fast. The ribs are so soft and juicy. I especially enjoy the Gyoza for an appetizer and the Meditteranean Pasta. Like all Bourbon Street restaurants this place is right full on the weekends. But I feel like with the tasty menu, they could stand to upscale the restaurant a little bit. The tables and atmosphere aren’t really any better than what you’d find at Boston Pizza, but the price is definitely higher. You sit right next to other diners. Great to fill you up after shopping all day, not ideal for a romantic night out.

Poor, rushed service, not the usual Tony Roma’s quality of food, staff had little to no manners. This will not be a repeat performance.

Great place to come for the food but not so much for the service. They have a birthday club so you get a free entrée of up to $ 19 that you can use during a 2 week window around your birthday. We had to wait a few minutes before we were seated even though the restaurant was about half full. I ordered the regular order of ribs for $ 22. They also have options for half order for $ 18 and the large order for $ 26 and a variety of sauces that you can pick from. The order comes with 2 sides which includes coleslaw, baked potato, mashed potato, fries, veggies, and rice. I ordered mine with coleslaw and baked potato with toppings on the side. The food didn’t take long to come out. The potato was a big size and it wasn’t that warm. It came with a big scoop of sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and green onion. The coleslaw was good but a little too creamy. The ribs were tender and saucy, and very good. The regular size was too much and I ended up taking half of my ribs home. Service wasn’t the best but was ok. The hardest working staff is the man who clears the table. He’s efficient and fast.

Came by on a whim. Out of the restaurants on Bourbon Street, this one definitely has a shorter lineup. That is not to say the restaurant isn’t good — this location looks like it simply has more real estate. Park near the N side of the mall by the theme park if you don’t want to walk too far. The inside is split into 3 zones: patio, bar, and restaurant. It’s actually a pretty nice setup. A nice solid wall running down the middle prevents you from seeing the other zone, which keeps the feel consistent. On Fridays they have a couple of specials worth mentioning: $ 3.50 Caesars, and $ 22 for a full rack of ribs with 2 sides(as opposed to $ 26 regular price). Jumpin’ shrimp — fried shrimp with mayo on top of salad, served in a martini glass. This was über good, though nobody wanted to eat the salad at the bottom afterwards. It would be nice if there was less salad and more shrimp. But the shrimp deserves a special mention. Calamari salad — basically calamari on top of a bunch of chopped up lettuce that has shredded cheese sprinkled on top. Calamari — served with tzatziki, a fat lemon slice, and diced red onion. Decent taste. Caesar — served in a nice tall glass with a long crunchy stick of celery. Decent sized for sure. They can make it extra spicy for sure. Ribs — actually pretty good. They make several varieties/flavours, but I’m talking about the«original» recipe. I really like how they go easy on the BBQ sauce. The meat came off the bones nice and easy. Surprisingly good. For the sides, I had the ranch beans(fancy name for kidney beans) and coleslaw. Both added a nice touch, though looking back, maybe I should’ve ordered fries. The containers for the 2 sides were tiny. One curious note is that the beers here are served in 2 sizes — 12 oz, and 25 oz. You’re either above or you’re below a pint. Go big or go home. I don’t know if I can say their ribs are worthy of the«world famous» moniker, but you will definitely get a decent meal here.

Went to Tony Roma’s tonight with my fiancé. I expected the service to be poor since the place was packed, but we were seated right away and our orders were taken promptly. The food was a bit of a wait, but not excruciatingly so. The food came at the right temperature. I ordered fish & chips, and was able to substitute the coleslaw(blech) with bacon mac ‘n cheese. I realize that isn’t exactly a healthy dinner, but oh well. The fish was nice and flaky, it tasted pretty standard, no complaints. The mac ‘n cheese was also decent, but not very bacon-y and not the best I’ve had. The fries tasted a bit bland. Basically, a not too great but not too bad meal. Our waitress was good at checking on us periodically and was quite friendly. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be back, but that’s based only on the mediocre food. Everything else about our experience was great.
