Studio J Urban Spa

I’ve been to Studio J a few times so far to get my eyebrows waxed. They do offer other services such as manicures, pedicures, massages and other body treatments.
The atmosphere of this studio is very relaxing and calm. The lounge area is stocked with coffee, teas, chocolate and nuts to snack on while you wait!
The room in which they do their waxing has the comfiest tables to lie on. I always feel like falling asleep in them!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cost of a eyebrow wax is a bit more than a few other salons I have been to but I will continue coming back here for the atmosphere!

I have been a long time customer of Studio J and every single visit is a piece of heaven. The services are done expertly and the ambiance is wonderful. Yesterday, I had the best pedicure ever, and Kristen did a fantastic job. I love Studio J and can easily recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful reasonable get away from real life!

I went to Studio J based on its reviews: I got a brazillian done, and asked the tech to do a shape. She did an immaculate job, very detailed to make sure she didn’t miss anything, the salon itself is very tidy and cozy, they had water and some small munchies while you wait to be seen. Very friendly staff as well! In spite of all this, I likely won’t return for two reasons; one, the ‘sex’ positions I had to perform to get waxed made me feel a little violated, and even with her being open to try new ways, she couldn’t do it the way I’ve always had it done. Second, super over priced. I normally pay $ 55 with my design in there, and I paid $ 78 this time around. This place will be a last resort back up since she was very nice and sweet, however it’s too costly.

I think I was about 12 years old the last time I got a manicure, but my fabulous bridesmaids decided that manicures would be the first stop on a whirlwind weekend of stagette and bridal shower madness.
Studio J, located right on Jasper Avenue, is in a great location, although it’s easy to breeze right past if you’re in a hurry. But don’t! It’s very, very worth it to come inside.
The nice girls of Studio J made us a pot of tea and dove right into a very thorough session of nail pampering (the one-​hour manicure). They set the four of us up at a long (marble?) table to soak us, massage us, and paint us pretty. The four manicurists were very friendly, and the 8 of us felt like old friends by the end of the hour.
Studio J’s polish colour selection is fabulous. I guarantee you can find a shade that you’ll love, no matter how picky! The entire space is gorgeous, with fuschia walls contrasted against white and cream.
I was very impressed with the entire experience and would definitely come back for another manicure. I think I’m officially a manicure convert — but only for Studio J!

I returned Friday February 18^th for a massage service. I let Kristy know to go easy as I had been in an accident earlier in the month. She asked a bit about that and then suggested a mix of massage with reflexology. Perfecto! It was just the perfect mix. It felt amazing. Bed was very comfortable as well. Soft music, candles, lovely smell, bed is kept warm. Oh, just so yummy! lol
Kristy is the epitome of professionalism. She put me at ease immediately. She is quite knowledgeable and interesting to talk with. It was a wonderful experience, overall.
I also love their waiting room. They have this gorgeous vase with fish swimming about. Fish’s name is Jimmy. So cute!!! I love the refreshing cucumber water offered. I love how they have little treats for you to snack on, like the pretzels and Werthers! Yummy.
Kristy was fantastic, and I will definitely be returning for another massage.

Top notch quality of service. Very meticulous and wants to ensure thejob is done right.
