I am still very on the fence when it comes to this store. The staff member I dealt with was very nice and helpful in locating products that might assist with a very bad nail tear I got while at work. She pulled out the tester and put it on the nail for me as well as demonstrated how to massage it in to get the most effective results. I was a little put off though when I asked her if she used the product herself and if it would help promote healing around the area that I got the tear and she took a minute to think about if before answering yes. The pause just gave off the impression she was trying to figure out how to give an answer that would encourage me to purchase the product. It’s a very nice store to step into with eye catching décor and the products are all laid out nicely with small signs above each shelf to point you towards what you are looking for. Items range on the pricey side but I think that has alot to do with the fact they are imported as well as the ingredients. I am pretty satisfied with my cuticle solution thus far as it seems to be working really well but on my modest salary I could never justify purchasing a full range of products for all my personal care needs as I would be looking at close to two hundred dollars. If you can afford it I definitely would recommend this store as I think the products are of a better quality then say Bath and Body Works but I strongly encourage you to do research into the products you may want to purchase as I can’t imagine how disappointing it would be to spend this kind of money and not achieve the desired effect.

My sister told me about the Shea Butter hand cream and was a fan of it, especially to smooth dry hands from the Edmonton winter dryness. With a $ 15 gift card in hand, I went into the store on a weekday morning. I was pleasantly greeted by the sales clerk who showed me the product when I asked about it. She eagerly put some on my hand to try. For a 150ml tube, it is $ 30. If you want to try it, you can also get a 30ml tube for $ 12. She then showed me the limited time body creams in Rose, Jasmine, and Violet and put some on my arm to sample. The 100ml tins were $ 28. I wasn’t intending on getting anything more than the hand cream but she was a great salesperson to show me enticing products. They also had a promotion if you purchase $ 45, you would could buy a bag of products for $ 20 which would make a great gift. I browsed the store as the sales clerk was helping other customers. There lots of body, face, hair, products and fragrances to choose from. I decided upon the body cream and hand cream and the promo bag. It took some time processing my gift card, but the clerk was very patient even though there were 2 – 3 customers browsing the store. I felt she valued my purchase and was knowledgeable on the products. They must great and work well based on the number of people that were purchasing and browsing in the morning! I’m not looking forward to cooler temps but when they drop, I know I will have a product to count on to help keep my hands moisturized.

You’ll likely first come across their products at a Four Seasons hotel. Their triple-milled shea soaps of 250 grams @ $ 14 each last me about 23 showers. A luxury for sure. I now use quite a few of their products including face wash, scrub, toner and oil control. You can often get somewhat worthwhile products in their free gift bags with purchases over like $ 70-$ 80. I can live the good life everyday with memories of my holiday at a Four Seasons hotel for a tiny fraction of the cost; I deserve it. The service used to be outstanding until the end of last Summer; now it’s less than spectacular. I don’t like being ignored; at these prices I want personalized service, the closest to a dermatologist cum personal shopper, and like before, have shopping bags handed to me on my side of the checkout counter; perhaps even carried for me as I am escorted to the door.

Pronounced Lox-ee-tahn! S’il vous plait. I would rather order online for some of my faves such as the Lavandre and Rose gels. You get really beautiful packaging and three samples which you do not get the same service at this west edmonton location(you are really really lucky to get two samples and heaven forbid that they might offer to put your purchases in a box for you: they do online). I find it difficult to enjoy a shop here due to the incessent and bothersome service(I am not one for ‘have you been into our store before, do you know that the Shea Hand cream is the best seller, have you tried… and so on… I just want to be left alone to see, smell and feel without the pesky interference). Hence my choice to shop online. However, I think the products are nice, good quality and look great.

I’m not a huge fan of this store but I don’t hate it. I don’t like the smell of this store because I don’t like the smell of many soap and beauty stores. It’s a bit strong. They do have some really nice natural products though. The stuff for men is actually pretty nice. They do give out samples so that’s really nice. Not many stores do that anymore. The atmosphere is very nice. It definitely stands out on the strip of stores. They have some beautiful pictures on the walls and everything is set up very neatly and very well. Overall it’s OK. I don’t really shop here but I can see why people do.

This is a really nice little store filled with great creams, lotions and other items that have been imported from Provence, France. They have a lot of great items and the store is really eye catching. They have these really nice photos all around their store and they make you want to come in and take a closer look. The employees are really nice and very knowledgeable. If you want to talk one-on-one with someone you can book a free skin-care consultation from Jan 15th to the 30th. I’ve used some of their products before and they are pretty good. I would suggest you check it out and make up your own opinions about their products.

I have been a devoted fan of L’Occitane for a long time, so I frequently visit company’s West Edmonton Mall boutique. I will start off by saying that ladies who work here provide great customer service. They don’t pressure customers into buying anything but rather provide advice and give recommendations since they know store’s stock in and out. They also wrap you purchases into nice packaging, and provide lots of samples:) The store is neatly organized and easy to browse. You can sample all products before purchasing anything. For those who are unfamiliar with L’Occitane — it is a French company that makes personal care products: from shampoos and conditioners to face creams and body lotions. Also, L’Occitane makes amazing soy candles. They make great gifts; and even though the candles are rather pricey, they are sure to make the recipient happy because they smell amazing even if you don’t light them up. The scent is strong, pleasant, and it lingers. Prices at L’Occitane boutique are exactly the same as online, not a penny more.
