Absolute crappy service at night, don’t know about the day but they are taking forever and I’ve been waiting for my food for 40 minutes now. Will never come back here. It’s ridiculous

Amazing service! Fun & chilling environment to be with around friends! The manger actually came out to talk with us, he quizzed us too & we got milk shakes. The management and team here are amazing, & really enjoyed our food. We will be coming back! :)

4 am and you pass out twice, All of a sudden you don’t get served. Should have walked out instead of wait to get served! Sucked altogether to be honest

I don’t know how the food is, we’ve been waiting for 45 minutes and there’s no sign of it. I could’ve made waffles at home, better, faster, cheaper. The only thing I have to comfort me is my tepid tea.

I come here maybe once or twice a year. And the experiences I’ve had here have been quite positive in that I’ve had a good time with friends when I’ve visited. But the food is nothing amazing — my soft poached eggs were over cooked, my friend requested no tomatoes and got her meal with tomatoes, and it took a long time before the server came to take our order on my most recent visit. I was quite pleased with the deliciousness of the hashbrowns though and the newer items on the menu are pretty yummy in general(I generally go for special menu items when I visit Denny’s rather than going for a tried and true favourite). The building is well maintained but it was really distracting that the claw game was out of order tantalizing us on my most recent visit.

Even if it is 4 am or brunch time, Denny’s is the place to have all around meals. They have a wide selection and can tweak so your side orders to your liking. Sometimes they are just very particular where you sit and base it on the server’s tables assignment. I suggest exercise your right as a customer and choose where you prefer to sit.

It is what it is. I came for a free grand slam on my birthday. My pride was the hardest thing to swallow. I also tried the bacon maple sundae. Meh. The inch of fake syrup at the bottom was kinda nasty.

My hunny and I wandered over here after attending Animethon at Macewan but unfortunately it was not the best way to end off an otherwise enjoyable day. We were seated promptly but after that we must have waited a solid ten minutes at least for our waiter to come and get our drink orders. In that time we saw two other waitresses working in the same section wiping tables and setting silverware and thought one of them must be the person who is supposed to be serving us and we are getting ignored. It was just weird… I would be really interested to see how the assigned sections work here because I really don’t think you need three staff members working within a 10 table area. Anyhow moving onto the food I got the half nacho’s for myself and my hunny went with a grand slam breakfast. The eggs on his plate were not how he asked them to be done and the sausage was quite overcooked. My nacho’s were a disgusting horror show. Instead of having the pico de gallo and sour cream on the side they toss it all onto the chips making it nothing but a disgusting mess. I am pretty sure they were sitting in the window for awhile as well because when I got them the sour cream was very runny which usually means it has had some time to absorb the heat from the cheese. It didn’t really seem like they had put alot of consideration into the fact they were probably going to see an increase in traffic with the Animethon going on across the street. The ladies bathroom was a mess, the silverware at our table was dirty, the food was awful, and staff seemed frustrated and confused as to who was doing what. I wouldn’t write off Denny’s entirely as I like the chain but I can’t see myself back at this location.

You get a tonne of food for the money. Lots of healthy choices, including avocado in omelettes, whole wheat pancakes, and lower fat options. Every time I’ve been here the service has been quick.

It’s Denny’s. I’m not expecting The Keg. oh wait! I just ate something that tasted better than what I’ve had at The Keg. I was there today with some work peps and I ordered the«Meat Lover’s Omelet». Wow, very tasty and half the price! It looks like they’ve changed it too because I don’t remember big chunks of steak in the omelet and this yummy sauce poured over it too. This was my first time being at this location since they finished the reno’s and it does look better. Anyway, always had a fairly good experience at this location and I’ll be getting that darn omelet again too! Nummy!

Just as any Denny’s, great for breakfast(all day), not good for anything else. Service was decent today. Updating the review because the last 2 times I’ve been, the service was terrible :( Breakfast is still good!

Been to this Denny’s twice in the past couple months. We just love the skillets, we drove clear across the city to have breakfast here, we were not disappointed. Great service, great food.

2.5 stars. Typical Denny food(aka it’s quite all right) with typical Denny service(aka practically non-existent).

No qualms about my breakfast this morning. Love the ability to build my own breakfast for $ 10. The server was quick to respond when we had an extra guest show up. My coffee was always full and hot! The breakfast arrived quite quickly considering the size of our group and I was happy with the taste, portion, and quality. I’m a big breakfast fan and this hit the spot for me! I won’t ever crave the food from Denny’s but I will go back when I want a good breakfast.

Where do you go when you’ve had a little too much to drink and need food? Denny’s of course. We were seated and served quickly enough and the appetizer we had we Pancake Bites or something. Good, but they are basically deep fried timbits. We waited a long time to get our food as other people who came in after us got their food much quicker. When it arrived it was cold. Pretty obvious it sat their for a while. Mediocre all around. Hopefully I can find some other late night place near downtown for those late night drunken food cravings.

I’ve only ever been here at 2am while inebriated, but the food here is really good(the same as any other Denny’s). I’m not sure how busy they are during the day, but between 1am-4am, they are super busy and you will be waiting 30 min for a table(but really, where else are you going to go at that hour for pancakes).

I’ve only eaten at one other Denny’s and I remember it being busy and loud and this experience was about the same. We were seated immediately but the service was slow. The Help Wanted sign by the front is a big warning that you won’t get fast service. Most of the people were likely MacEwan students enjoying a weekend brunch so they probably weren’t in a rush to go study. The menu has big breakfast meals. I couldn’t decide between breakfast fare or a sandwich but since I don’t go out for breakfast much, I choose one of the smaller slams. It came with 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, hash browns, and eggs for $ 7.29. Our waitress didn’t come get our drink order promptly so we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Instead of bringing the drinks out first, she brought my friend’s soup first. It was another 15 minutes or so before the rest of the food came out and she forgot my friend had her soup as she had another bowl. It would have been better if the food all came out at once but not a big issue. All looked ok with my food. The hashbrowns were the shredded and fried kind instead of potato chucks which I prefer and I felt like I was licking the grease off pan when eating them and the sausages. The eggs were fine; nothing special. When I was ready to have my pancakes, I realized there was no syrup. Our waitress was no where to be found so I asked another and he promptly brought it out. With slow service and not the best food, I will not be returning. It seems to be more about quantity that quality here. There are other breakfast places to try next year; likely the next time I will go out for brunch.

Dirty glasses, ridiculously slow service in a near empty restaurant. A a group arriving at 7:30am in a suits should be a clue that this is a working pre-office breakfast, not a leisurely morning. The food was fine, typical breakfast fare, but this will never be a place that I’d recommend.

It’s Denny’s, so the food is standard. The service is usually sub-par, but if you’re looking to spend a few hours eating, drinking coffee, and working on something… it’s a good location. There’s free wifi, but watch out for the parking guys! If you park for longer than 2 hours, you will get a parking ticket. Usually Denny’s staff are pretty good about helping you out… but it’s still ridiculous to be giving out tickets in a restaurant parking lot.

Perhaps the most popular place in downtown when all the bars start closing around 2, Denny’s provides what people want when they get out of the bars: something greasy and cheap. Their food will hit the spot no matter how much you have been partying that night. With breakfast items offered all the time, along with a wide selection of deep fried goodness, Denny’s has something that will satisfy your hunger. Keep in mind that after 2am, you should expect some form of line up here. It’s always busy, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights. The wait for food can take about 20 minutes, and service can be very slow, but the staff seem to realize this and do their best to accommodate the rush of people there. Going during the day things seem different. The food items might be the same, but you realize just how greasy the food is. This can be a good place to go if you’re looking for a good breakfast meal after a night of partying, but this is a weight watchers nightmare.

I sometimes head to Denny’s with friends when we are in the mood for breakfast items, or just plain old greasy spoon type dishes served with reasonable speed. The place can get pretty packed depending on the time of day, but it is also one of the few restaurants in Edmonton open during the night. Besides breakfast fare like pancakes, waffles, and steak and eggs, there is a variety of burgers(both chicken and beef), as well as dinner entrees. I especially like the chicken fingers, grilled chicken with two juicy breasts, and the fish, which is lightly battered and has a unique taste. All dinners come with a choice of two side dishes, and bread service. Prices are reasonable, and this is a family setting where both young and old alike should feel comfortable. Some of the food is a little on the greasy side, but there are healthier choices too.
