Burger Baron

Pizza burgers and deep fried mushrooms. It’s like a teenager’s treat for me (used to get this all the time in highschool). Nostalgia much?
I really like this Burger Baron location. The staff here are always so sweet, and then just underwent a huge reno! The place looks way more upscale (for a fast food place) than they used to. The décor is bright red, clean, and trendy. The food though? Oh for sure. Two thumbs up!

My husband decided to take me here for dinner instead of Fatburger. There was a long line in the drive-​thru, so we just went inside to order. The burger was good, just a bit salty for me. I liked the curly fries too. I would come here again in the near future and order other times from the menu.

Love, love love this place! Always delicious, never a disappointment! The price is very good and the serving sizes will leave you full for days! My family and I recommend this place! You have to try the mushroom burger!

Love Burger Baron! I’ve been coming here about 1x per week for the past month for lunch and boy is it delish! The serving sizes are huge, I can only get a burger OR fries, not both, because I get through one or the other and I’m stuffed. The service is fantastic and friendly, all my coworkers and I will be back over and over again for one of those delicious donairs, burgers and sides. Honestly I haven’t eaten a bad thing from them yet!

There is just something about Burger Baron. I think that sums it up. Perhaps its a throwback to something we recall from back in the day, or perhaps its just an Alberta thing. I am not sure. I think the best thing about it is that it has its own unique taste, isn’t trying to be something it is not and is honest about that. No glossy spit and polish here, just an honest burger with their own unique taste. You really have to try it to understand what I mean. In a world of fast food burgers these guys have actually found a way to taste unique and stand out. Their flavour feels like a vacation for my mouth, escaping the mundane and all too familiar tastes of all the big players.
Don’t be scared off by the less than polished location, give them a try and experience something that says greasy spoon and fond memories, all the while being quick and delicious.

Tried this location last night for the first time. We did not care for the burger & would not return. Yes the bun was fresh & soft, toppings tasty but the patty was of frozen origin & way too salty. The curly fries were tasty but way too many little end pieces, not enough whole curls. Sad as it’s so close to home. I will however return to try their milkshakes.

We’ve eaten in and taken out of this location and both times we have been pleased with the service and the quality of the food. This is not inexpensive fast food, but the toppings are fresh, the burgers are cooked when you order, the bun is soft and stays together better than many others, and there are a lot of great combinations. Bonus — They have yummy thick milk shakes with plenty of flavors.
After the recent reno, the interior is fresh and clean.
We will certainly find ourselves back on this side of the tracks for tasty burgers again.

This location of Burger Baron has been renovated inside. It’s a big improvement. Recommended if you want a good griddled fast food burger and you’re in the area.

Had driven by a few times and was attracted by its blue-​collar charm and «chip-​stand» feel. I was not disappointed, but can’t say I was blown away. Ordered a double Dad’s Burger with fries and ate in. It was a weekday mid afternoon, so the place was quiet. Simple (some might say a bit run-​down) décor, but clean, and a good menu selection. I liked the size of the burger patties (on the thin side; sort of like a Burger King Whopper patty but griddled), which makes them easy to match up to your appetite: want two burgers? get singles. one burger? get a double. feeling hungry? have a triple. The bread bun isn’t overwhelming, either, which means you feel you get a lot of meat and trimmings for your dollar. Speaking of which, it’s a bit pricier than your average fast food joint, but certainly tastier, and not so generic-​y tasting. I had a side of fries, which were rather bland, despite being lightly spiced. Would prefer fresh-​cut ones, but it’s a minor complaint.
They have a drive-​thru, too. Definitely a place to stop and grab a burger and shake on a nice summer evening.

I love a good fast food burger every once in a while. As I’ve passed by this Burger Baron several times, I decided to give it a try.
And while I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, my burger was prepared as well as it could be given the ingredients. I found the patties to be both thin and rubbery — which I guess is better than the thick and rubbery patty that they serve at Harvey’s.
For my topping, I went with the Salisbury topping — creamy mushroom sauce with grilled onions. I added (processed) cheese as well. The mushroom sauce drowned out the onions.
All burgers are grilled to order.

I have been going to the «Baron» since I lived in Alberta. (pretty much my whole life) There are many throughout Edmonton and small town Alberta. Don’t know the history of this franchise or if there actually was one at one time.
Anyhow they have the best mushroom burgers around. This 99^th street location I visit frequently as it is a short drive from my shop. Great service, Big Burgers, fries and the gravy rocks too. Milkshakes galore. every flavor in the book The building I think was an old KFC at one time so it has seen better days but its clean and kept well by these owners.
Great lunch spot. Just watch the kids at lunch since there is a school across the road and this place can fill up fast.
