Went to this Brewsters on a Sunday afternoon. The place wasn’t too crowded so there was plenty of seating available. They brew their own beer and you can ask for samples before you decide what to order. I also ordered a Chicken & Bacon Alfredo which was very tasty. The service was good, our waitress was friendly and helpful.

The beer was fantastic, cold and delicious. The nacho’s just don’t disappoint. The mud pie is just to die for! The only down side to today’s visit was a table of 820 something ladies who were loud and annoying. I’m sure they had too many and forgot there were other people around. When they went to leave they tip over a few bar stools. Good indication of how badly most of the people wanted them to leave. Other than that not a single complaint. Well maybe my only complaint might be that there will be no more leprechaun pie. I’m told I had the last two pieces. So delicious with the mix of mint and chocolate. Oh I hope they bring it back and soon.

This is our regular watering hole near work. Stopped by today for some snacks and beer. The nachos are huge have lots of real marble cheese and are well dressed with tomato onion olives jalapeños. Appetizers and beer are on sale nearly every night for happy hour. 20 oz draft is $ 6.50. This Brewsters is well run and very reliable for service and quality. It outclasses any other sports bar restaurant chain in the area. I would highly recommend for a drink with colleagues after work. I have also come here numerous times for lunch. They serve up great burgers and salads. The bar side has numerous televisions to watch the game with friends.

Three times asking for a glass of water… Three. Did I get it? Nope. I did not. The service really needs work. Carley G. and I went here for a casual drink and bite to eat. Sat in the dining area. Was relatively quiet. Haven’t been to Brewsters in a while(used to frequent the one on 23 ave) so the menu has changed somewhat. Had a Casear(still trying to find the best in Edmonton, and sadly this is not it… They didn’t even have it listed on the drink menu) It was alright for what it was. Decided to try something new for food, and had the fish tacos. Can’t complain. They were decent. Large in proportion. Side of fries and the super addictive beer mustard. Yeah it’s A-OK here at Brewsters, but I’m not in a huge rush to return.

After three mediocre meals in a row I won’t be back. The food is so average compared to the gems in this part of town I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Lots of room for improvement in the kitchen but good serving staff. I would have given them two stars if the patio wasn’t so nice.

I recommend this place if you wanna go for a drink, but if you want to go here just to eat then probably better to look elsewhere. In simple words, meh…

I like Brewsters, but I always kind of forget that it exists, particularly this location. I just never venture in this area of Ellerslie, but my friends and I were looking for some place to go Monday night. Of course it was Victoria Day, and many businesses(coffee shops and such) were closed or closing, but Brewsters was still open. We’d had dinner earlier, but we stopped into Brewsters for some beers and a shared appie. Brewsters, like their name might imply, brews beers and they have a variety of their own locally brewed beers, from the Rig Pig IPA to the Oilberta Stout. Schooners were on for $ 7, so my friends each got a schooner. I just got a glass of the regular Golden Lager. It’s pretty good, not too hoppy. We ordered the pretzel appetizers, which has three soft pretzels and is served with a remoulade sauce. My friends weren’t a fan of the remoulade, but I loved it(reminds me of New Orleans). The pretzels were soft, pretty hot, and salty. It was pretty quiet being that it was a holiday, so everything came out pretty quick. Service was nice(although I got a funny look when I asked what beer would go best with the pretzels… guess any beer works with pretzels). This location always seems a lot less insane than the one in Century Park(parking lot is definitely less crowed). Hopefully I won’t wait so long until my next visit to Brewsters.

One of my favourite restaurants in the area! Great and pleasant service, food came quickly and was absolutely delicious(I had a spinach salad with goat cheese, walnuts, dried cranberries, avocado, grilled chicken, and garlic bread). Also a great place to watch a game while maintaining a great atmosphere.

After many visits with just pretty good food, I finally tried their wings. Delicious. Not a ton of flavor selections, but they have the classics, and they do them well. Perfectly cooked, the right amount of flavor, and a yummy beer based dipping sauce. We now frequent here a lot more often.

I came here Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It was a little disappointing… Service was great as usual but my Mac and Meatloaf left something to be desired. The bacon was soggy and the meatloaf was lukewarm. The pasta was a little runny but tasty and the bbq sauce tasted the same as any other time. I’m hoping this was not a regular occurrence.

Celebrating my birthday weekend off we decided on driving down a few blocks to see the first bar/pub to wet our whistle. Luckily we saw Brewster’s on our left and it looked quiet and calm for an lazy Saturday afternoonish drink. We walked in and had gotten an immediate seating with our choice of dining room or lounge, we picked lounge. My partner was impressed with the private booth and the quiet atmosphere. Our server was prompt with our drinks, I had a blueberry Bellini and he had a raspberry beer. The blueberry Bellini was yuuuuummmie… Since I love aprikat with peach slush this was a sweet substitute. To start we had bacon wrapped steak bites. They looked pretty but to our liking was still under cooked. Our server took it back to get them recooked without hesitation. Great service. He came back and the steak was well done which was how«we» enjoyed steak. Shortly after we had finished our appies and had another round of drinks our entrées arrived. My long island salad was looking delicious n his pasta Alfredo was smelling n looking tasty. Everything was great! Service, food, and environment was a good way to to start a day.

Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend before a movie with a friend. We were just looking for something quick, tasty and low maintenance. When we got there, we were seated right away. We asked for the restaurant side and got seated in a window booth. Also on that side were three groups with children. The ratio of children to adults(not counting the two of us), was about 2:1. We should have asked for a booth on the bar side. File it under live and learn. That’s not something the restaurant can help! We ordered water right away and then waited a long time. In our section there weren’t many people, and one server, and it took a LONG time. When the water came we ordered right away: Bavarian pretzels, mesa chicken for myself and the Bavarian turkey dip for my friend. We had our regular debate of appy vs. dessert, knowing that both were not an option(just too much food!), and went with the appy this time, even though the chocolate pint cake looked very tempting.(Next time!) The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the food came out hot and fresh. The pretzels were buttery, warm and fresh, with a great mustardy-cajun-remoulade. Very tasty and quickly inhaled. Our mains came out just as we were finishing the pretzels and were not small plates. Mine had a generous portion of pasta, a large wedge of garlic bread and a few strips of cajun chicken. The tomato sauce was fresh and tasty, and it is something I would definitely order again. My friend’s turkey sandwich was heaping with fresh turkey(not the pressed deli style), on a nice looking pretzel bun, a half of a monster pickle a bunch of fresh cut french fries and fresh turkey gravy(not from a package!) She could barely finish half of her meal, but that had nothing to do with the quality of food. About half way through the meal we were asked if we wanted a refill on her soda and my water. I didn’t need, but she accepted. The drink didn’t come until close to the end of the meal. What took the longest was waiting for the bill to arrive. We waited quite a while for it to show up. When it did get there, it was split properly, so we were able to pay fairly quickly and get out for our movie. The food was great, but the service was a bit of hit and miss this time(we’ve been before, and this isn’t the norm). We will definitely be back, but we are going to be seated on the bar side to avoid the children.

Just an update… had the French onion soup and it was amazing. Lots of onions and cheese. There was a pleasant sweetness to the both; a real delight. I have also had their beef deep and I gave to say it is hands down the best I have ever had. Give it a try.

I believe this is the newest location of Brewsters in the city. It is nowhere near where I live, but I’ve been here twice with south side friends; once just a week ago, and once last spring. The quality of the beer and food are consistent with the downtown location. The server we had last weekend was really friendly. It didn’t feel like she was«serving» us, but kind of like we were just talking to a friend about delicious beer(which she seemed to know a lot about). Minor complaint — we were there on a Sunday night in the lounge, and there were only a couple of other occupied tables. It did take our server a while to take our food order after we ordered our drinks, to the point where we started wondering where she was. The restaurant is smaller than the one downtown, but still fairly big. There is definitely room for big groups if you want to go for a birthday party or to watch a hockey game or something. Like I said, I live really far away from this location, so I probably won’t go much unless I’m with someone who lives over there, but if you’re nearby, check it out.
