I’m not a fan of Tim Hortons coffee but there are so many around, they always make a good meeting spot, this was my reason for being here on this day. This one is new, clean and while awkward to find your way into, it is one of the better for drive through as when the line backs up you’re not left blocking a busy road. Staff was pleasant and quick but it wasn’t very busy while I was there. I don’t order regular coffee as I gave up years ago trying to get a consistent cup so I’ll generally have tea or a specialty coffee.

First time ever at a Tim Horton’s, and I’m impressed. Wish that we had something like it at home in LA. Sandwiches and soups were great. Didn’t get a chance to try the donuts, but they looked very fresh. I definitely have some more exploring to do here next time I’m in town.

This might just be my favourite Tim’s ever! I know you might be thinking, «a Tim’s is a Tim’s, is a Tim’s!», but honestly, I’ve had some horrible experiences just getting a simple order filled. I go here frequently as I work in Burnside, and I’ve never had anything but amazing service. My order has never been wrong — be it eat-in or drive-through. You’d be surprised(or maybe not) how many times I’m given a coffee rather than the tea I’ve ordered. Having worked at a Starbucks for 5 years, nothing ticks me off more than something so simple being handed off wrong. Especially when I’m in a rush on my way to work. Not only is the staff accurate, but they are super fast, and always friendly. The drive-through is usually lined up, but nonetheless, the line moves quickly. At lunch time, the parking lot is generally packed, but you don’t wait long to get served and fed. The staff at this location work like a well-oiled machine. It’s pretty evident to anyone who enters the store, that this due to the dedication and hard work of the manager(she’s been with Tim’s quite a long time though I’ve forgotten her name as I write this.) It’s not often that I’m there that she’s not working — she pumps out coffees and teas like no other, keeps her staff on their toes, and is always one step ahead of the customer having things ready and anticipating their needs. Finally, this Tim’s goes above and beyond to treat customers well. You’re greeted with a «Hello, and thank you for being our guest today», and each employee always identifies themselves by name(at the drive-thru). Your order is always read back to you to ensure accuracy(something that I think all Tim’s should do, because it’s obviously working to their advantage.) I actually pass 2 Tim’s locations on my way to work, and I purposely wait in order to go to this one. If you’re ever in Dartmouth Crossing or Burnside, skip the Ilsley Ave location and head on down to this Tim’s — you won’t be disappointed!

This is one of the very few Tim Horton’s whose drive thru greeting goes beyond the«What can I get you?» You’re guaranteed a welcome, a name behind the voiceless face, and prompted to try the daily special before you can spit out your coffee order. Despite the drawn-out welcome speech, they’re pretty efficient. This is also one of the few places that have charged us for a doggy timbit, on more than one occasion, so we don’t ask anymore when we come through this one. On the inside, it’s always clean, has a decent amount of seating, and a well-stocked display case. What can you say, it’s another location in a large chain, it serves its purpose of fueling the shopping masses.

When Dartmouth Crossing was first built, it struck me as odd that there was not a single coffee shop there. Things have improved since then; there are now three. Of course, what I really needed to appease my occasional tea craving while shopping was a Tim Hortons. And voila! This Timmie’s satisfies my pekoe desires quite succinctly. It’s often busy but the staff do an admirable job of ensuring the lines moves quickly.
