True confession: the only reason we go here is that we have friends with a 6-year-old with limited tastes, so it is one of about 3 places we go to on our regular Friday evenings out. Having said that, it’s an OK place for pizza and pasta, and such. The young hostesses and servers are welcoming and eager to please. With groups, you may have to wait. My wife makes great pizza, so I rarely eat it out. They have good ribs. The pasta dishes are good. The portions are generous, but they expect people to take home leftovers. The kitchen and service are pretty fast. Last were I ordered an appetizer-sized wings and a salad – that made a good meal without a lot of carbs. So, pretty good for what it wants go be, just nothing special.

One of my favourite places to go when I’m hungry, and defiantly the best Boston Pizza location I’ve been to. I always get the baked potato flatbread, and even though it gets periodically taken off of the menu at times, this location will still always make it for me. Love the cactus cuts too. Very reasonable prices, good service.

I always have a good meal at Boston Pizza. The waitresses are very friendly and everything is always cooked just right. They never disappoint.

I don’t write a lot of reviews for larger chain restaurants but wanted to give props to the awesome server and management they have here. My husband and I are both vegan. We used to frequent BP in Whitehorse, Yukon because it was the only place we could really find anything vegan-friendly. BP makes a kickass veggie burger, seriously, it could trick carnivores. Our waitress was very nice, prompt, polite and very nice in letting us know that the fries were cooked in the same fryer’s as the chicken, fish, etc. I had never been told that at BP before so I was appreciative to know this. We got the veggie burger and garden salad. My husband made sure to ask for no feta, mayo or garlic butter on our buns/burgers. When the order arrived, they unfortunately had butter on the buns. The waitress apologized immediately and said she would get new buns for them. I think she could see my concern because she said she could get whole new burgers for us. I said that would be best because I feel they are contaminated now haha! It was no problem at all. She apologized again and swiftly took them away. A few minutes later the manager came over and apologized once again and made us feel okay for sending them back, acknowledging that we are vegan and wouldn’t want that on our food. I just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff we dealt with on Friday evening(the 27th of June). For a restaurant that serves lots of animal products, you handled the situation beautifully. My husband and I have had some really terrible situations when it comes to restaurants and order mixups, this experience was wonderful. Thumbs up. :)

Our fault. We should have ordered pizza but we assumed that they knew how to prepare the seafood fettuccine that was on their menu. We were told by the Manager that the salmon in this dish was prepared in the morning and served to us in the evening. What? It was rubbery, hard, overcooked and tasted like cardboard. They are way in over their heads on this item. From now on, if there is a next time, we will stick to pizza and they should remove the items from their menu that they obviously do not know how to prepare.

Boston Pizza is an okay place for standard american upscale pub style fare. I can’t say I really like the Pizzas(they’re okay) but what I like about BP is that their salads and some of the other dishes are actually really good. I wouldn’t recommend the steak(steak is steak but their’s is nothing special) but I like some of the pasta dishes and the appetizers are good. It’s also a pretty good place for kids — decent sized portions and some nights have discounts(I think it’s Tuesday). Nothing special but pretty good if you’re stuck.

I like Boston Pizza a lot and normally I would give 4 stars but the staff here are lacking something. Experience dealing with people We went there with a child and they were very inattentive even though it was not overly busy. They had no idea about the difference in needs between an adult and a child. You don’t need to be a psychologist, social worker or parent to realize if there are children you may need a booster seat, napkins and a kids menu. I know it sounds a little harsh but I’m paying to be served because my day was busy and I want to exchange funds for that service so that I can relax, not stress because my kid is stressed at dinner time. A quick fix would be to make it a priority to hire some staff who relate to different customers. Don’t just hire 18−25yo waitresses who can rake in tips. Some of us tip for service, not looks.

Didn’t have a good time at all. First was the order of chicken and mushroom fettuccine with a side of HAIR.(not the end of the world), just reorder. By this time the rest of the food arrived, my mother took her first bit into her crispy golden wings and they were still frozen on the inside. At this point we just decided to skip the wings and pasta order and just shared a pizza with the other two guest who were with us. Never returning there again ! I would recommend sackville location for anyone looking for delicious food been there a bunch of time and never a let down. Also they have deals through out the week which the darthmouth crossing location didn’t.

Recently came here with my boyfriend, brother and his fiancé for a meal as we both had received gift cards for Christmas. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but it could have been better. Our server was overall quite pushy. We had our menus for less than a minute and she was already asking us if we were ready to order, and we said a few more minutes, and she would come back not even a minute later(repeat this like 4 or 5 times). It got to a point where we ordered some apps just to get her to go away for a few minutes so we could actually figure out what we wanted. I ordered the steak sandwich with ceaser salad — she asked me if I wanted bacon and cheese on it, and I was like ugh isn’t a ceaser salad supposed to come with bacon and parm? she said oh well I meant extra. Anyways, she never asked me how I wanted my steak, etc so I just told her anyways as I did not want it coming out wrong. My boyfriend ordered chicken quesidilla with fries, my brother ordered a rice bowl of sorts and his fiancé ordered a pulled pork sandwich with pickles on it(which he clearly repeated twice to the server). Our appetizers were good, and I really liked the dipping sauce that came with my sweet potatoe fries but it was definitly just ceaser dressing with a spicy kick. Now come the meals. My steak was definitly more than medium(at least half of it was, the grill must have been differing in temp in different spots), and my salad had neither bacon or cheese… what kind of ceaser salad just has lettuce, dressing and croutons?! The meal was just ok. My boyfriends quesidilla was disappointing but not terrible but his fries were incredibly soggy and undercooked. My brothers rice bowl was pathetic and had maybe 1 tbsp of whatever sauce was on it so he ended up dumping my boyfriends salsa on it and half the salt and pepper shaker. My brothers fiancé’s sandwhich came out loaded with jalepenos instead of pickles… he sent it back and they fixed it. I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 again because in the end the Manager came by our table to hear our concerns and was very nice. Instead of giving us a discount that would have amounted to a few dollars off, we got a coupon for a free meal pizza and pop. Although our server was a bit clingy(I figured she might be new), she did seem genuinely concerned that we did not have a great experience. Ultimately, BP is a good place on Friday nights for fish bowls, but their food is definitely a hit or miss as I find most chain restaurants are — not consistent enough for my liking!

Well… I don’t really want to like chain restaurants. But, then, why do we always choose Boston Pizza when we go to Dartmouth Crossing? As my friend and I tucked into our thin-crust, whole grain pizzas last night — hers custom pineapple/pepper/mushroom and mine the Caprini Goat Cheese(oh I want another one today!) I realised it’s because — it’s just great. Our service is always friendly, the food is always just as it promises on the menu, it’s reasonable, convenient before or after the flicks or shopping, and the menu has a selection to suit everyone in your party. We’re veggie(sometimes) but others are not, there were kids sat next to us and we saw the goodies they got — wow! We’ve also met to watch sports games, because the bar has big screens in every direction. If your game isn’t on just ask them. I like Jim Treliving, the place is Canadian, the food is super, so I am now going there every chance I get!

Here’s the thing. I don’t usually do the downtown after dark scene. I don’t have the patience to get along with rowdy crowds and can’t deal with inebriated strangers invading my personal bubble. My idea of a late night out is hitting up a late show and closing out the theatre. Real bad ass, baby! If the movie ends after midnight and I’m craving a nosh, there aren’t many options in Dartmouth for midnight snacking. There’s little open at the Crossing, or in Dartmouth, after 10, unless you want to zip through the golden arches for some grease. Luckily, Boston Pizza boasts an open kitchen until 2AM. Now, Boston Pizza isn’t my first choice for food, but it’ll do in a pinch. If you’re with some friends, they have a slowly expanding menu of shareable appetizers, like cactus cut potatoes and wings with more sauce options that the average restaurant. It looks just like every other BP: the chain’s standard booths, vases filled with dried pastas and oils, and faux art prints of bland scenery, but you come for the food, and sometimes the jumbo screens with sports teams butting heads, and not the atmosphere. It’s a chain restaurant, so service, food, and décor are consistent with every other BP you walk into. But it’s open late, has beer, and an assortment of pub foods, so for a late night snack, or even a quick dinner before the movies, what more do you need?

So generally I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants but we were meeting some friends at Dartmouth Crossing last night and needed a meal. I have to say I was happy with the meal we had at Boston Pizza last night. The food was good, arrived quickly, and we all left feeling satisfied and happy. The kids’ menu has lots of choices but at $ 6.95 is one of the more expensive kids menus around. And really, my son had some slightly overcooked spaghetti noodles with what I am certain was jarred pasta sauce, certainly not worth $ 6.95. For dessert he had electric blue Jello topped with whipped cream and sprinkles which was fine, but the Jello was served in a dish that had obviously just come out of the heated dishwasher and the Jello was actually melting in the bowl. Kind of gross, but he was happy enough. I ordered the chipotle chicken Cesar wrap and the side greens with sun dried tomato dressing. It was tasty, although the chicken was neither cold nor hot, it was sort of lukewarm. But the wrap was very tasty and filling. The hubs ordered a newer offering. He ordered wings, but they were served sort of as nachos, I can’t explain it well but he really enjoyed them with a side of cactus cut potatoes which are always a winner. The service was excellent, very friendly and very fast considering how busy it was. All in all, a very satisfactory meal.

I get that it’s not«hip» to like BP. That I’m not«cool» because I eat here frequently. That I’m not«with it» because I abuse«air quotes.» But, seriously, have you tried the cactus cut potatoes? Scrumptious. They’re little slices of scrumdiddlyumptious that are only improved by the fantiddlyastic dip. Huh. Upon re-reading this review so far, I’m starting to get why people don’t think I’m «cool.» But, seriously, I do enjoy several items from BP’s menu(though I do tend to return to the same items repeatedly). However, it can be a bit more pricey than I might like. My favourite meal, with tip, is almost $ 30(assuming I don’t split the cost of the appetizer). So this is an occasional treat for myself.

I’ve gone to Boston Pizza twice before and both times the service and food were terrible. This first time; I went with my mom and we ordered a pizza, the flavours didn’t mesh well and the pizza was room temperature. The second time; I went with a couple friends, we were seated and we waited 10 minutes in a dead restaurant just for our drink orders. We had 3 different waitresses throughout our dining experience. When the orders of pasta came out it was very bland and only luke warm. Overall I’d recommend to avoid this place as best you can.

Boston Pizza is known for just that Pizza. Most of the Boston Pizza locations are the similar in décor but all different in taste. Booths located down the sides. To the left you will walk into the Bar where the house the TV for the sports nuts. Many of occasions the bar will be packed with people watching a game. Service is actually really good as they are very efficient or at least the girl that was serving us was. When I was there I had the Three Cheese toast with garlic I think it was around $ 5 bucks. I had the lasagna in a dish which was very good but I have not yet come across one that was like it was homemade. Total coast was about $ 22.00 and the portion was big. Boston Pizza is a family restaurant for all ages.
